Although signs are CLEARLY posted that beach chairs cannot be reserved/left unattended for more than one hour but attendants allowed it anyways. We would go down to the beach every day at 9 am and there would be dozens of chairs with towels or bags on them but no one would show up until 11 am. They would leave then come back hours later.

So many shops, lots of swimming, we loved the room layout to have our own space, staff was very friendly and having such a beautiful beach right across the street was amazing, truly gave us a great vacation!

- Jimmy (5/5): Hotel with good location but smelly most of the time - It's a nice hotel with a good location in front of Eagle Beach. It's very close to Palm Beach and there are many restaurants nearby. The main issue is that there's a wastewater treatment plant nearby, and it smells terrible when walking around the hotel grounds and the beach in front of it. It's hard to have a great time while dealing with that odor. We would have dined at the hotel restaurant more than once if it hadn't been for that issue. Also, the main pool was under renovation, so we couldn't access the pool area. If we had known that beforehand, we would have chosen a different hotel.

He will take very, very good care of you . ❤️ Although they were upgrading the pool we had an amazing room super close to the beach which is why we came. It was truly beautiful. We were disappointed with the fact we didn’t have hot water for showers for 4 of the 7 days. The resort reminded us it’s a timeshare & they didn’t really care. After disputing they felt only $100 resort credit was acceptable which was a fraction of what we paid for one night. The prices at the timeshare for food, drinks, etc were so high & pricey we can’t afford to go there anymore. Further you could once get a palapa easily 10 years ago. Now you have to share with other resorts, the public & get there by 7:00 am. I like to sleep in on vacation but Aruba & Eagle beach are overbuilding, overcharging and is not small & charming like it once was. Places gave closed & even the locals were asking me if I see what they did 10 years later & I do . I am sorry to say this was my finale trip to La Cabana. It’s too overcrowded even during low season. I also won’t even address the airport, rude people and 4 hour line & barely making flight. The airport is significantly worse too & overcrowded. This finale trip broke my heart for an island and resort I visited over 6 times and left me very sad with what it has now become.

The downside of the property is a late check in of 4p.m. and an early checkout of 10a.m. Most activities on the property cost money.

There is a smaller "adult" pool where kids could swim with adults. People put towels on chairs/loungers by 7AM and seem to stay the day which isn't considerate of other guests. There is also a toddler pool. The restaurant choices on-property are 3 plus a gelatoria and Cinabon. Sunset has a car rental desk in the lobby for convenience. Resort staff are very helpful and kind. Large grocery store is within a block. Full size frig/freezer, gas stove top, pots, fry pans, microwave, microwaveable bowls, strainer, pitcher, toaster, cooking/grilling utensils and place settings for 4 are provided. There are grills in the courtyard of the property. The bed is very comfortable, seemingly a larger queen size. Never ran out of hot water for showers. Tap water is very good to drink. There is a safe in the room and a broom if you, like me, desire to keep the sand accumulation down. I greatly appreciate the discount that made it possible for us to book this wonderful accommodation.

They have an excellent gym facility and are currently doing renovations of the swimming pool area to improve the customer experience. Have added pickleball courts (2) and several grilling areas. Best beach in Aruba is across the street.

- David (8/5): Hotel right next to Eagle Beach - Lovely clean hotel right next to Eagle Beach. Not as much activities in the area compared to Palm Beach a little further up the road but was still a nice quiet location.
- Happiness35680362995 (4/5): Poor customer service - poor customer service. I notified the hotel the night before my scheduled stay that I was at the hotel next door next. I came back on the day of the check-in at 9 am. to check in. At 3:10 p.m., my room was still not ready. The manager and staff made excuses for the poor service. I watch people come in off the street for 1 hour to get their room as soon as they check in.

- John (10/5): - LaCabana never disappoints! Have not been in a couple of years but added the health hut for delicious smoothies and acaie bowls, kids and adult pools. Across the street from one of the best beaches in the world, Eagle Beach, what more can you ask.
- rubytue (6/5): Loud! - The sound insulation between units, especially in a studio/lock off is non existent. I write this as I lie in bed debating if I should just join in the conversation next door, and they are not talking with raised voices. On Wednesday night, there is a DJ at the pool that plays until 11. As another review said, the average age is about 50. I fit that demographic spot on, and 11 is too late to sit in my room and hear thump thump thumping of bass dance music. Aside from the noise, it wasn’t bad. It felt very much like a cruise ship on land, activities throughout the day (afternoon naps to hearing B-19, O-37), the chair hogs that put their towel down and leave for hours. The best palapas go when they open up at 6am, but we were able to get a palapa at all times, including 7:15, 1:30pm, and 11am. Not first row, but it was a palapa on the beach and the WiFi works on the beach. The patio doors must have some UV protection that also worked at as RF blocker, as the WAP was in the middle of the room, and WiFi didn’t work well on the patio/balcony. Not my favorite resort, but not at the bottom. I would come back, but trade into a one bedroom, not a studio. The lock off door by the bed is just too much.
- Carina (10/5): - Loved our stay here - so much so I felt compelled to leave a review on the plane ride home! The most notable part was the friendly, efficient, and kind front desk staff (thank you, Eli, for checking us in!). We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach (<5 mins), easy towel service, many and free palapas, and the pool and hot tub were clean and great to relax in after the beach! The room itself was great with all the accommodations we needed. Area was super safe and conveniently close to restaurants and the grocery store (we are happy we rented a car though). Plenty of free self parking at the hotel also a plus! Our only cons are that we never had our room cleaned (but it was fine), the adult only pool was closed during our entire stay but unsure why, and lastly we had a strange and unpleasant encounter with one of the workers at the cafe in the lobby. We were given a weird sweet milk when we ordered a matcha green tea latte. When we brought it back, she said it was not a matcha (we agreed!) but insinuated we had brought something random back for a free drink and was both wrong and aggressive. She lectured us to keep the receipt next time (they never gave us one in the first place). She did not offer a refund, she replaced it with a hot coffee which was also strange.

The resort could do a few small things to improve...like have better chairs at the pool would be a start. Or, for that matter, any chairs. People sit their towels on there in the morning and never use the chairs. I mean it's normal behavior for a lot of places, but it should be monitored a bit. The big pool is very loud with the Bingo daily, and the new "adult pool" is not maintained consistently. The room was nice (after we upgraded). The rooms in the inner corridors are much nicer. They are doing a lot of construction, and I'm not sure of the end game, but hopefully they are property improvements. Right now they just interfere between point A and B walking paths. What I liked, the bed was comfortable. I loved the way I could close the bedroom door and have complete darkness, yet I could leave the blinds open to the living room and walk out to a glorious Aruba sunrise. The room provided new appliances, and I was able to make a few meals with ease. The staff were friendly but clearly overwhelmed on a big check in day. The food I wasn't overly interested in, but they had a killer breakfast sandwich at the restaurant by the pool. The clientele is older, and I would say the median age is like 50. There are a bunch of people who spend a few weeks there with their time shares. Although I am in my 50's I wasn't feeling the vibe of the crowd, many of whom were in their 70's and very entitled. Although this is not the fault of the resort 100% it is slightly. The beach is nice, but you have to get there early to get a palapa. All in all, it was a good experience for us as a vacation exchange from our travel club. Having been to many other resorts in Aruba, I wouldn't pick it as a primary destination though. I feel like it's a hotel that truly hasn't found its identity. Maybe one day it will, and we can say we stayed there before it was a thing. Anyway, I'll be back to Aruba in a few months, and because of the location of La Cabana I picked out a great Airbnb.
- larryhunt1955 (10/5): My Home away from Home - La Cabana is my favorite place to stay when we're in Aruba! The staff is friendly and helpful! Everyone treats us like returning family members! The activity staff is awesome, Cathy and Nixon are our extended family sister and brother. There is always plenty to do while vacationing at the resort. Rum tasting, bingo, scuba, snorkeling, jet skis, parasailing and of course swimming in the huge resort pool where Dwayne AKA the (Rock of Aruba) instructs aqua aerobics classes Monday through Friday. Or you can walk across the street to the beach and hop in the ocean if you prefer, did I say rum tasting, word of caution, there are 34 different flavors to taste. Great food to be had at the on-site restaurants. This is one happy island!!! One happy resort!!!

You can pay $30 for an umbrella right by the ocean or get a palapa for free as part of an amenity through the resort. Chairs for either are free and also an amenity. People who want a prime palapa get there EARLY! The kids LOVED the slide and both the big pool and the kiddie pool. They called the kiddie poll the baby hot tub because it was so warm but not to warm that it wasn’t safe. There are washers and dryers on every floor. $10 gets you 5 tokens and each machine takes 1 token to run.

Nick checked me in and he was amazing and accommodating. There were a few good restaurants locally but you do need a car to get Around. You can also go shopping at super foods a very nice food store prices were good and cook at the resort it’s in walking distance.

- Constance J (10/5): - LaCabana is a beautiful property right across from Eagle Beach. You can easily walk to several restaurants and the grocery store. We absolutely LOVE the adult pool - great addition to the property! There are plenty of activities on site: water aerobics, bingo, wine tasting, art classes, live music at happy hour, etc. LaCabana definitely has more of a "party" feel than some other timeshares so if you're looking for a quiet resort, this may not be the place. We love the Las Ramblas restaurant. The food is always exceptional and we enjoy listening to the guitarist who plays there regularly. All in all, a great place to stay. My only complaint is that they should install Smart TVs in the units or have a Roku or some other device to stream services. The TV selection left a lot to be desired, so having the ability to stream Netflix would be great. We would happily stay there again!

Several restaurants on site along with a casino. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, and very friendly. Room was super clean. Things were tagged as cleaned by the housekeeping. Nice aruba aloe body products in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommended this place and would stay here again. And they have a Cinnabon, which was the icing on the cake.

This is family friendly which means it's much noisier than I prefer. And the beach is very crowded. Again, that's a personal preference.

The external facilities were well below expectations due to the constructions. The fencing used for construction is very low quality depicting a work site rather than a hotel/resort. I would suggest closing the facilities during such renovations as it is cosmetically poor for guest
- Happiness52985002059 (10/5): Aruba visit - The facility is right on the beach and has plenty to offer to guests to do. They have several restaurants inside the resort and within easy distance to other attractions in Oranjestad and Palm Beach. Tour companies are eager to come pick you up at your hotel which is very convinient.
