- Lynn (4/5): - You had to walk between two private homes to get to the ocean. It was a pretty view when you got to the beach area, but the steps down to the beach & water were very unsafe so we were not able to get in the water ore even walk on the beach. There is no swimming pool either. 2nd) the frogs screeched all night long our first two nights so we left and relocated to a hotel.

- Lana (10/5): - It was my birthday trip. Blue Ocean Village made it incredible and unforgivable. Lonah is a very friendly and helpful host. We got everything that we need for one week stay. Clean all around the cottage (we stayed at Bimini),fresh bath and beach towels. Private beach was unexpected too "private." We were almost always by ourselves. I'm definitely recommending this place.

The host (Lonah) was always available with help if needed and also gave great recommendations for around the area. Many dining options nearby as well as Supermarkets, Liquor Stores and a Starbucks, all at walking distance. Close to the Grand Hyatt Bahar Mar with lots of things to do there as well.

- Sylvette (6/5): - The outside is nice and I felt safe in the area. The beach is absolutely stunning and it is private. My issue was you have to use concrete stairs and it’s unsafe as it’s a big steep jump. If you have mobility issues DO NOT STAY HERE. The kitchen had no stove only hot plate. The glass to drink is dingy even after I washed it. Limited pots and silverware. The kitchen had a long mat and underneath the floor is broken. Look at photos. We had to ask for bath towels replacements. We don’t use same towel for 2 days. The cabs in Bahamas are scams and expensive. I use to love the Bahamas but their prices are outrageous. They say they have beach chairs. One was broken and we didn’t get a new one till 4pm, the day before we left. The umbrella doesn’t cover well because it’s crooked. You can wait for the bus if it ever comes in the heat. You can walk to get frozen yogurt or pizza. At night there was a huge roach in bathroom. Internet kept going out. Lonah was kind and professional. She get 5 stars. She responded immediately. If you needed anything. Cabs should be regulated I don’t want to visit where they attempt to scam Americans.
- Bryan (10/5): Best tropical location we stayed at! - This place is outstanding! We were at a resort for the first three days of our trip for a conference. We extended our trip and moved to the Blue Ocean Village - a very good decision. The location is great, close to many local amenities. The private beach is incredible and better than any other beach we found on our trip. Finally, Lonah and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. Planning to go back with our adult children later this year.
- Sophi (10/5): - I had the very best time snorkeling and kayaking. No one else booked on my day but they took me out anyway which I thought was super sweet. I would recommend checking these guys out it's not your "run of the mill" excursion which was exactly what I was looking for!
- Sandy (10/5): - We had a great time! We were on a girls trip and stayed in the Flamingo Residence, it was modest but very clean and comfortable. Lornah is a great host and assisted us right away with everything we needed. We felt safe, walked over to Baha Mar resort (where you can use the pool and beach facilities), grocery stores and neighborhood restaurants, and used a taxi for transportation to other areas. I appreciate the beach towels and beach gear they provided. It was overall a great stay and I'd definitely return in the future!

The best part is the host (Lonah) is incredibly responsive and frequently does anything she can to make your stay incredible. I simply can’t say enough nice things about Lonah and would stay at Blue Ocean village just because of her.

- Caroline (10/5): Fabulous - Stunning property on a fabulous beach. Would definitely return. We had the Abaco cottage which is actually a very newly built/converted detached bungalow. See pic. Little kitchen with everything you need. Even teabags, salt and pepper. Great hot shower, comfy bed. 2 min walk to a little shop for essentials and also a lovely frozen yogurt shop. 10 mins walk the other way is a big supermarket with a couple of restaurants, takeaways etc. Just be aware you can only contact the owners by WhatsApp. We didn’t realise this and called the number on arrival to discover it didn’t work. A little concerning but we found the owner in the end.

- Laura F (8/5): - This beautiful property offers outstanding service and accommodations.Though not a five-star resort,it feels private and offers waterfront access.The attentive staff provided everything we needed.The Abaco’s comfortable bed and amazing shower, though slow to heat, had enough water.The spacious bathroom with two separate bedroom/living room-kitchen areas is spacious enough for two and we were able to shop and cook our own meals.Ample parking was available, except in front of the cottage, where we were politely informed to move.We did have a parking space about 100 yards away, but people kept parking in it.Property is on Cable Beach, middle island’s north side.A kayak is available, but the waters in February were rough.The water was clear and warm, though there are no nearby reefs.The air conditioning vents blow strongly and loudly, right on the bed and into the shower, making it uncomfortable.The bathroom light motion sensor is annoying.Any movement near the door turns on the brightest lights, startling visitors at night.There’s no way to disable.The Wemo switch for the mirror lights also didn’t work.There’s no dresser, but there’s a small closet for two people. w/full mirror.Coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, and 1 water is available.Nespresso espresso, Mr. Coffee, and grinder are also available.Hot water teapot is included.Close to most everything we needed, including the big resorts.Jitney picks up in front.Definitely worth the money.Must have WhatsApp to comm with staff!!!!
- Drew (8/5): - This older property is set up like small apartments with ground floor units and up a staircase to the second floor units. Each unit has its own entry. Lonah was very helpful and responsive. The amenities were basic and the room was clean. WiFi was a daily connection struggle to test which network was available and sometimes none. The beach was really nice in that it was easy to access and in February it was rare to see others on the beach as it is cut off at each end by sea walls. There is enough beach for a nice walk. It is possible to go beyond the beach limits to walk along sandals resort beach however beware of submerged rusted rebar and one razor sharp stainless steel when passing an old sea wall at the far end of the beach. It’s about a half mile to Baha Mar and it’s walkable. Also a basic food market is within walking distance.

There ia great restaurants within walking distance and grocery stores close by. Our unit was clean and comfortable and the staff was very attentive. Shout out to Lonah who is nothing short of amazing with her smiley personality and her availability to answer any questions. Our fav by far was the private beach. You just couldn't ask for anything more and we will definitely be back !!!

The studio was clean and exceeded my expectations! Lonah was very kind and provided me with good information to help me get around. The beach was an added bonus and literally perfect. I prefer to watch the sunset by the beach and basically had the entire beach to myself. Perfect for solo travelers.

- Ashley (10/5): - Where do I begin? This hidden gem is the perfect quiet place to get away for those who do not prefer the big resort hotel type vacation. Stayed here with our family of 4, kids ages 11 and 9, in flamingo cay, the 2 bedroom residence. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with kindness from Lonah and later the owner Isaac. The residence itself was exactly what we expected. Clean, spacious and a few seconds walk to the beautiful private beach with comfy seating. Ocean and beach clean, safe and peaceful. Surrounding local neighbors also very friendly and quiet. Location within 10 minute walk to great restaurants (Meze grille, Tonino’s, and Social house were our favorites). In a very safe area, comfortable walking at night. We did not rent a car and relied on the recommend car service Miss Miller, who was wonderful. She was very personable and her recommendations made our stay even better, with rates better than traditional taxis. When we return to the area we will absolutely stay here again, hopefully sooner than later!

- Taliba Malika (10/5): - What a wonderful, wonderful place! Lonah, Isaac, Arnold and Brandi were amazing! After a terrible day of canceled flights and an overnight in another city, Isaac had a bottle of merlot waiting at the door. He also made arrangements for me to stay an extra day to compensate for our lost time. It was seamless. Lonah was always available and answered our every need. Blue Ocean Village also introduced us to the heart and soul of the island, Ms. Miller who taxied us to all of the sites and hidden gems. The property was pristine, the property managers were all so friendly and you are steps from the beach. Oh yes...how could I forget, our private white sand beach with the clearest bluest water that you could wish for. Dreamy! It was an amazing stay and you really made it special. We will be back!

- Darren (10/5): Beatiful week in Nassau - My stay at Blue Ocean Village was exceptional! Lonah was very communicative and made the stay so easy. The location could not be beat--the quiet, private beach a 20 second walk away meant that I did not have to worry about taking the bus to any public beaches. There were a decent number of places to eat within walking distance, too. Lonah also helped arrange my taxi to the airport at the end of my stay.
- Steve (10/5): - Lonah. I can't say enough about her. You would ask her a question and she would appear out of nowhere. Even Brandy the dog was friendly. That's what I loved most about the location is that everyone was so friendly. We felt very safe our entire time there, with the exception of one cab ride at night. Very fast drivers. I loved that we could just walk out to the street and flag a bus to pull over and be downtown in less than 20 minutes.

Everything is exactly as in the photos, clean, spacious. Lonah was super helpful and Arnold as well. Can walk to an awesome Aqua park if you are visiting with kids, a grocery, a convenience store, a couple of local bakeries and a nice local restaurant. Buses are easy to catch during the day as well. Awesome stay and we will certainly be back.

- Kenneth (10/5): Just a enjoyable week! - Great communication before and during stay! Absolutely perfect location for my needs (especially if you want to be active on the beach and water). More the 2-3 days you might want to rent a vehicle. Nice to have your vehicle just outside your door!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): This place is unbelievable! - This stay exceeded all expectations. The location was amazing, in a cul-de-sac right by the beach. The owner and staff were all so friendly and low key. Easy walking distance to larger beaches, food, groceries. Definitely want to come back!
- Lathyra (10/5): - Excellent for walking distance from affordable dining options and also the movie theater! Family apartment is very clean and it has a modern cottage aesthetics. There’s pamphlets for activities in the event you want to plan some fun. It’s safe and cozy! This property is nestled through a narrow corner and has direct beach access with immaculate ocean views! Enjoyed the front porch area for the kids to sit at the outside table and play games and also the front area for them to play!
- Lathyra (10/5): - This property was through a cozy corner with immaculate beach access and ocean views! Modern cottage aesthetics and very clean with an exception of a few dishes. We felt safe and surrounding area was convenient due to grocery and affordable dining options. We were uncertain upon arrival which building it was as there are many through this cozy corner but we remembered reviews showed it was a blue building. Lonah, who is very hospitable, checked us in early at our request and we appreciated that! Both main and back-up Wi-Fi’s were inconsistent from day 1 and local work being done on day 3 leading straight into our check out day, by the local phone network, further disrupted internet access our entire stay! I recommend the family apartment, due to the access to the beach and the area at the front of the apartment where kids can play whether at the table or in the front yard space. It’s super quiet with the exception of the contractors working at this time, which was NOT much noise. There was also parking for our small SUV.
- Lathyra (10/5): - Loved the eco-friendly electricity system. Motion sensor light is definitely a great option for families traveling with small children to minimize on electricity cost. Clean apartment, great host (Lonah) and great modern cottage aesthetics. We felt at home and the bedroom on the right is the coziest! We loved our stay and will most likely be back. Affordable dining options near-by and awesome distance to grocery stores! Taxis and buses run are accessible from this property. Dining and doing a day-pass for Bahamar Resort was the highlight of our stay!
- Linda (10/5): - What I loved about this property was the peace and tranquility it offered. We were within walking distance of Sandals and of Baha Maher resort yet, we did not have the crowds and it was very clean. Because of the water, you could only access our beach from the properties that immediately joined ours on both sides. Our host, Lonah, was awesome. She was available if we needed anything. The unit we stayed in was a 1 bdrm cottage and was perfect for us. Anyone looking to stay in the Bahamas that is private yet easily accessible to restaurants,shopping, and such, I highly recommend staying here💕
