• Gill Green (9/5): One of the best holidays we have had - The location of the resort was fantastic. Being able to snorkel off the resort was wonderful. There were so many fish to see and even giant clams. The water temperature was beautiful so you could snorkel for ages, and it felt so safe. Meals were great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and comfortable. I would happily go back to Resort Tava'e

• Luis (10/5): Absolute paradise in Aitutaki. - 10 stars! This resort exceeded our expectations. It was truly paradise. We wanted to stay there longer. We would love to come back here! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed at the airport by the resort staff with leis. The water was so beautiful and we were able to to kayak and use their water equipment. The food at the resort was spectacular! Delicious and fresh, we found the resort food better than the restaurants in Rarotonga! The island night dinner was so delicious and we loved the show. The facilities and room were so clean and we loved the fresh flowers they left in the room. We were even welcomed by the resort cat that played with our daughter. We loved it all!

• Mark (10/5): - While the location on Aitutaki is very special, the resort staff are what makes this resort very unique. From the moment we were picked up from the airport to be delivered back I could not fault the resort team, from the laundry ladies to the beach front "Baywatch boys", gardeners, cleaning ladies, restaurant staff and the very welcoming driver to the boss lady nothing was a problem. Free use of kayaks, snorkelling gear and paddle boards was a real bonus and happy hour was pretty good too. Just minor things but a bit more variety in the breakfast food and the coffee machine was broken
• Jean (9/5): An excellent resort, friendly staff, superb restaurant and location. - Room was spacious and clean. Restaurant was superb, for breakfast and dinner. Portion sizes for dinner were huge but very tasty, an excellent menu. Restaurant staff were charming and helpful. Snorkelling off the beach was very good, as good as we had seen on a day trip in a boat. Laundry facilities for the room, not communal, were a bonus. Unfortunately the coffee machine had broken down so only instant coffee was available.

• Jochen (10/5): Südsee Traum - Wir hatten ein Deluxe Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick. Der durchaus stolze Mehrpreis lohnt sich. Größe, Ausstattung und Aussicht sind es wert. Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter sind einfach umwerfend. Eine Kaffeemaschine kann defekt sein und es dauert sicher, bis man auf einer abgelegenen, kleinen Insel die Ersatzteile bekommt, aber eine ganze Woche lang so gar keine Alternative anzubieten ist schon etwas schwach.

• Suzan (10/5): Lovely , would definitely stay again - Great well thought out property. Room was huge. Every room had its own laundry which is a rarity on the island. All appliances were brand new. Property was very comfortable. Price is quite high in comparison to other properties on the island.

• Koco (9/5): Beautiful resort, rather new with nice and large rooms. Our apartment was overlooking the lagoon which was a real plus. - Large room with a big and very comfortable bed. Nice and big bathroom with high pressure shower. The reception staff kindly allowed us to check in earlier. Two nights before leaving we arrived at the restaurant at around 19:45 and told the waitress that all we wanted was a basket of fries. To our surprise, she told us that this was impossible since the kitchen was closed (the closing time for kitchen is 20:00)! When my wife and I were about to leave another couple came in and set on one of the tables and, they ordered their dinner and they were served! I really regretted that after every dinner I had left 15-20% tip. The next day I raised this issue with the reception but they completely brushed it off and did not take it seriously. They didn’t even apologise! During our last dinner, we raised this issue with the restaurant manager however, her reaction as as bad as the reception one. Also, the reception offered to find us a rental car which they did but they overcharged us for a car that was not that nice. Another issue with that particular lagoon is that during the low tide the water gets very shallow and you need to walk being very careful a rather long distance through some sharp corals which cause an uncomfortable pain when you accidentally step on them. However, corals make it a nice place for snorkeling. Coral shoes are a must.

• Robert (9/5): You have to go …The island deserves its reputation for being the nicest in the chain and the hotel is a fabulous place t - Position, it’s right on the beach in the best part of the lagoon Sadly …and we appreciate it’s on a remote island and things take time to get fixed … but a number of things were not working or not available … small things …no coffee machine working, no beer machine working…the Island night had been cancelled… just a shame given how special the place was.

• Nicolai (7/5): Great place, restaurant has good food but wished service level matched it. - Resort is beautifully created and really nice location. The rooms were beautiful however it was disappointing that there was not wardrobe storage. We had to keep our clothes in our luggage and live out of this for a week. The TV wall could have had a small shelf to mitigate this. The existing wardrobe only had a hanger rod and no shelfs. Restaurant staff didn't live up to our expectations (besides the chefs as the food was always great). Example was our first night we were not told that we had to make a booking at the restaurant (We did get a resort orientation but wasn't informed of this). When arriving to the restaurant we were told no tables at all, and they were surprised to hear we stayed at the hotel. 2 staff asked us separately with the same answer. We then manage to work with them to at least get some take-away .Then a 3rd staff came and said there is a table after all - we shared we were happy to take it of course and have the mean in restaurant. We then got 2 take-away pizza boxes which could't be opened to our table. We asked since we are now in the restaurant if we can have plates and have it hear - we got small side bread plates but nothing for the pizza. We asked again and got 1 cutting board for 1 pizza... anyway. Other nights we did book in advance and that was fine and food was good. Even though some drinks we were told were out to 20 min later see neighbouring table getting. Oh well. Food and drinks = excellent. Service = not matching

• Mel (9/5): I’d come back again! - I loved the beach and the rooms. The rooms are extremely clean and still feel new, the beds and linen were of great quality too. I loved the reception team they were always so friendly, helpful, fast to assist and go the extra mile! Thank you Tutu and the rest of the team there. I loved that there are plenty of activities down the beach with really friendly and helpful staff down there too. Island nights food was the best island night food I’ve ever had in the island!!! Those Crabs were delicious and the selection was incredible! One of the female restaurant/bar staff (not Jancy) needs customer service training. She was always grumpy and I was scared to ask for service. The boys were delightful though! The lunchtime sashimi was to die for! That sauce and that fresh tuna was exceptional! In the rooms the shower soap, shampoo and conditioner felt cheap and smelled nasty. I bought my own luckily but thought I would try knowing I’m coming back at the end of the year so I know for my next stay. Very expensive rate per night and breakfast was ok. The bacon and eggs were gross. Yogurt and fruit though was delicious.

• Della (10/5): Wonderful location, super - We had an incredible stay as a family of four in the two-bedroom accommodation. The thoughtful touches throughout, including the laundry facilities, luggage storage and well-equipped kitchen, made our stay so comfortable and easy. The location is fantastic, with amazing snorkelling and great inclusions like kayaks and paddle boards. The facilities were excellent, and the food was delicious, especially breakfast. The service truly stood out. Trevor is an incredible asset to Tava’e and went above and beyond for our family. When we weren’t able to hire a car due to our own poor planning, he took us to a few shops and even gave us a mini island tour, all while ensuring we made it to the airport on time. Violeta in the restaurant provided wonderful service, and the reception team were all so helpful and accommodating. A special mention to Andrew for his help with scooters and dinner bookings. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. N/A

• Mel (10/5): The best spot on the island and value for money. - The saltwater pool, the lagoon and available activities, the staff are so friendly and welcoming in all areas, the location is perfect as it is very close to everything you need, being a newer property the rooms are beautifully appointed and clean, and the food in the restaurant is delicious; they do locally sourced food so well and you get exactly what is described on the menu. Also they do a fantastic island night with the best food and entertainment out of all the island nights in the island! Nothing!

We LOVED Aitutaki, my only regret is that we didn't stay longer! our room was right on the pool with screaming kids there all day...but we just went to the beach instead. I wish the pool was on the ocean and away from the rooms a bit
• Danielle (10/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay would we stay again YES - I loved how this property is new and is really perfect for a family stay. We stayed at Resort Tava’e spread out over 8nights and noticed the room service lacked each time with their cleaning standards for the price I paid. Simple things like not vacuuming the floors/hair still visible on the floors in bathrooms etc or a quick mop in areas where there is foot traffic/kitchen. Beds were made and fresh sheets replaced the first few nights and noticed our last few nights stay they weren’t. I accidentally dripped some manoi oil on the bed sheets when we came back later that afternoon same sheets were used not clean ones. Abit yuck when we are out all day in the heat! Lastly staff need to change there attitude not all to high paying guests who can make you feel like your not a in-house guest. Rudeness is real it’s only noticed when you Complain
• Bronwen (3/5): Staff were rude and unwelcoming - The property is on an incredible beach, white sand and clear blue water with really good snorkelling directly out the front We are a family of two adults and one child, and the stay was extremely disappointing. The property is advertised as a resort, but it is absolutely not one. While the unit is clean, it is also very basic and lacks any resort-style facilities, services, or atmosphere. It feels more like a simple unit on the beach rather than a resort. The most upsetting part of our stay was the staff in the restaurant and bar. They were consistently unwelcoming, unhelpful, and at times rude. As non-locals, we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome from the moment we arrived. This lack of hospitality completely ruined what was meant to be a relaxing family holiday. The only real positive is the beach itself, which is genuinely beautiful — but that alone does not make up for the poor experience overall. Cleanliness does not compensate for the lack of service and hospitality, especially when travelling with a child. We would not recommend this property to non-locals or families. This experience was extremely disappointing and genuinely ruined our trip.

The TeKing snorkeling tour was a highlight of our trip—well-organized and full of amazing sights. The staff were friendly and made our stay even more memorable. • Peter (10/5): - I had a very pleasant and joyful stay at the Tava'e. The rooms are spacious and clean, AC and other equipment worked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helped me arrange some lagoon and snorkeling tours which were absolutely mind blowing. They also have a nice terrace with a beautiful view on the ocean where you can have all meals. Also the track to island top is close so that you can start your hike from the Tava'e. 100% recommend!

El personal muy amable en especial Kaiei que nos dio todas las facilidades para una estancia estupenda desde nuestra llegada a pesar de llegar mucho antes de la hora del check in. Te dan la opcion de alquilar moto en el mismo alojamiento. Te facilitan toallas, paddle surf, kayak...sin coste añadido. El bar todo muy rico y elaborado. Una pena solo haber podido pasar 1 noche la verdad. Repetiriamos sin duda!

• Deborah (8/5): We enjoyed our stay on this lovely island - Great location beach front. The main section of rooms were set around 2 swimming pools so felt a bit like a motel. The beach front rooms looked out over the water. Being a new resort it will establish more over time. There is a beach front restaurant that served very generous & tasty food portions. We did have a great Island night at the restaurant on our 1st evening. There are comfy beach lounges and paddle boards & kayaks you can use. It was great to hire a scooter directly from the resort and the office organised our whale swimming trip. Staff happy to keep luggage until departure. Most of staff at the restaurant were very unfriendly - no smiles or friendly interactions. We would have eaten here more as it has a lovely outlook over the beach. Our flight out was at 6pm and it was raining all morning. Late checkout fee $250!
• Shamona (9/5): Our favourite place to stay in Aitutaki!! - From the wonderful staff to the spacious 2bedroom accommodation having everything we required & was modern and clean, to the restaurant where we tried different options during lunch & dinner, Island Night was a fav of ours, to the amazing beach views, that sunset is gorgeous. If you didnt want to swim at Aitutaki Beach there are also 2 pools and plenty of water activities available. Special mention to the following staff who made this a memorable a relaxing trip for us: Andrew (front desk), Vaine & Maata (housekeeping), Lanni (restaurant staff), & Trevor (resort driver). • Alison (10/5): Quiet, relaxing and a perfect retreat for our family - Our 3 night stay (family with kids 8&9) in the self contained suite was superb. (Having our own laundry to be able to do a quick load was very helpful!) Location was great, and transfers to/ from airport was smooth. Food at the restaurant was yummy - the kids loved the pizza! The beach was great and we took the opportunity to snorkly, kayak and paddleboard. The staff were helpful, even organising a 24hour car, when we found out that our flight would be delayed by 5 hours and we had extra time to explore the island. The staff were

• Moana (10/5): Aitutaki Perfection at Resort Tava’e - “Kia orana 🌺 I was honestly so surprised with our stay — everything was beyond what we expected. The staff were absolutely amazing, so kind and caring, we truly felt at home and well looked after. The Island Night was definitely the highlight — the kai was delicious, the music and dancing filled our hearts with joy. Every single day was special, right up until the moment we left. Meitaki ma‘ata to everyone for your aro‘a and hospitality. Such a beautiful place, perfect location, and memories we’ll treasure forever. Aro‘a nui ❤️ Would have been great to have a better breakfast option for the buffet breakfast. Everything else was great.

• Jasmin (10/5): Tolles Resort, jederzeit wieder! - Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Zimmer und Badezimmer grosszügig geschnitten. 20m bis zum Strand. Kajaks, SUP ud Schnorchelequipment konnte kostenlos benutzt werden. Roller zum mieten wurden von der Rezeption unkompliziert organisiert. Rezeption und Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Island night war sehr interessant, aber leider wurde etwas beim essen gestresst, da die Show startete. Und unsere halb vollen Getränke wurden einfach abgeräumt als wir der Show zuschauten.
• Penny (10/5): Suberb stay. - Suberb accommodation. Staff exceptional, especially Trevor our courtesy van driver, restaurant staff and beach staff. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed, great shower and clean. Restaurant and bar overlooking the water was ideal and having the use of the water equipment was so helpful. Being able to walk from the resort directly on to the beach was so special. We would highly recommend a stay.
• Mereana (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay here. Nothing beats enjoying a glass of wine or breakfast with stunning views of the lagoon. Having complimentary swimming gear right on the beach was such a bonus, and with access to not just one but two pools, it made our time even better. The room was spotless, tidy, and very comfortable with both air conditioning and fans. Even the reception staff went above and beyond, arranging a vehicle for us—such awesome service that really exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

• Jules (10/5): - Love this place…from the moment we were picked up at the airport everyone was friendly and worked hard to ensure are time at Tava’e was perfect…I wish I could bottle up the smell of the flower lei they give you at arrival as they are lovely smelling …we rented scooters from the front desk for two of are three days…super fun way to get around…Do not miss Kia Orana tour for the lagoon tour it is a must!!!!! Lovely family ran business..You visit many places and have lunch on their family island… Over all our visit to Tava’e and the island was the highlight of our time in the Cook Islands

• Shweta (10/5): - Kudos to their top notch hospitality. They helped us with everything- last minute airport drop and pickup, booked the best lagoon tour, booked table for dinner, helped us to get vehicle to get around places. Room had perfect beachfront views!
