- Ambreen (1/5): Uncomfortable stay, no wheelchair access to room, no reception & 20-25 minutes walk from hospital! - The experience from start to end was bad. The very reason I booked this place last minute (which was very expensive for the kind of backpacker place it was) was due to them advertising it being walkable distance from Westmead Hospital, which it wasn't. It was a 5-7 minutes drive away and 20-25 minutes walk! My son was having surgery at Westmead. They should not advertise this place as close to hospital because firstly, it is not close and 2ndly it has a flight of stairs, where people need to carry their luggages up the stairs on their own and possibly the patient will also need to be carried up, due no lift and no wheelchair access, 3rdly no reception or person involved from the time you book, so you have to find your way to an old building with the padlock hanging on its stairs and unlock it for your keys. 4thly they ask you for a further deposit of Aud 350 (in addition to the booking cost paid in advance in full) which gets returned only after you leave the property as received. 5thly the heaters did not work and my son (who came back from surgery) and I had to sleep in frozen rooms. 6th this place had very dim lighting that made it look very gloomy and depressing. 7th the place required us to throw out garbage ourselves before leaving.
