Guest Reviews
- Raghavendra (1/5): Highly Disappointed – Not as Advertised at All (only positives: location and hot water for shower) - LOcation of the property Highly Disappointed – Not as Advertised at All
We had a very unpleasant stay at this apartment and are genuinely surprised it’s marked as a “Genius” property on Booking.com.
The apartment is extremely old and worn out. The interiors are poorly maintained and far from what the photos suggest. The pictures are taken quite cleverly to make the space look appealing, but the reality is completely different.
The ambience wasn’t great—some old furniture scattered around, visible wires hanging loosely near the standing lamp, and an overall setup that felt more like a poorly converted storage space than a cozy apartment. It didn’t feel welcoming or comfortable at all.
It was freezing cold at night. There was a heater but not working and despite reaching out to the host, we only received standard instructions. No real support or concern shown. The ceiling is very high, making the space even colder, and it felt more like staying in a storage unit than a home.
The bed was uncomfortable and old. The curtains were thin and didn’t block the bright corridor lights, directly focused on the bed making it hard to sleep every night. (See attached photo.)
The key system was a nightmare—it took us 15 minutes to open the main door the first time. Very old-style and far from convenient.
The apartment is on the first floor, and to make things worse, the lift stopped working after the first day. We had to carry heavy suitcases up and down the stairs—not ideal at all.
Only two positives: the location is convenient and close to the metro, and there was hot water for showers. Apart from that, there is nothing I can recommend.
We feel misled and hope this review helps others avoid the same experience. Please don’t fall for the photos. This apartment is not worth the price or the discomfort.

I spent 3 terribly hot days in Milan. The room was hot as hell. There was no air conditioning. The city of Milan is humid and very hot in the summer season. They earn a lot of money, but they do not install a small air conditioner. Definitely do not rent this facility in the summer season. The room is small, the toilet and the bathroom are narrow. It smells terrible. The owner of the facility is stingy. There was only 1 detergent or gel. Please, please, please, please, please, it is prime in the summer season, but never stay here. In fact, listen to me, never rent this facility. Everything was so terrible.
- Atsushi (9/5): resonable price with convenient place - The place was close to the subway and easy to access. Also, it was within walk distance to the Milano centrale—very convenient place. Flashing the washroom had some problems. They told me that they would fix it. So, no problem.

- Yuen (9/5): Comfortable stay in a classy vintage apartment - - Location: There are two metro station close by, namely Pasteur station and Loreto station. You can also go to the nearby Argentinian area which has a lot of wonderful restaurants. The streets adjacent to our flat are equipped with pharmacies, supermarkets and an excellent kebab shop that opens late. The area is overall quiet and safe.
- Access: The flat is on first floor so one flight of stairs or you can also use the lift. The flat doors are a bit old and difficult to open and lock. It is in a quiet block that locals live in and it’s a very classy living building.
- Facilities: There is a small pantry, living room, bathroom and study space all in one with very little partition. The flat feels very spacious. No AC but Milan was quite chilly during our stay so it is fine. The flat is very vintage looking but I love the wooden floor, old tall windows and Art Noveau decoration. Love the height and texture of the pillow and had a few good night sleep.
- Host: The flat is managed by a B&B company so they have someone contact you. They are very communicative. Due to emergencies on our part, we check in later than scheduled, we were not informed of a change in the instructions picking up of keys and there was a bit of a scramble. Fortunately, the accommodation staff contacted us quickly and we managed to check in.
