Guest Reviews
- Charlotte (9/5): Great location, clean well appointed accommodation with comfortable beds. - Very comfortable well appointed accommodation. Fantastic location 10mins walk to Farrington and Barbican tube stations and similar to the Barbican itself. We also walked to Tower of London which only took 30mins Excellent beds, good quality towels and great WiFi. We have nothing negative to report!!
- Maclean (1/5): Disgusting this should not be advertised as an air B&B - Got told last minute to move to another property called 1-2 mews London apparently an upgrade!
Cost £50 in travel fees to travel back to where we came from!
Opened the door and was disgusted! Microwave was filthy no blind in the bathroom my husband had to make a plan with ear phones to fix! Not set up for a family of 4! No extra bedding had to wait for someone to come fix it ! Owner put the phone down on me! Didn’t answer our call the day we left. Old food left in cupboards cutlery all chipped! We should be refunded
- French (7/5): Good -
- Surendra (1/5): Nightmare Unit in Barbican - Only the location was good. Everything.
Cleanliness was zero
The entrance was filthy. The bin was overrun with dirt. The apartment had never been cleaned before being handed over to us. The crockery and cutlery was grimy. The cupboards were dusty. No brook or mop was ever provided. Cooking was a nightmare. The pots provided could not be used on a conduction stove. The fridge door did not close and had to be supported for closure by opening a sink cupboard door. The washing machine was faulty and despite a promise to replace it, this never happened. The curtains could not open properly. The bed was like a prison bed or an adult cot with no rails provided. Getting on an off the bed was a frightening experience. Linen was very sparse. One window alongside our bed had no curtains and we had to use a mat and one of the frames to cover the window. The windows were full of birds droppings. No bedside carpets or mats were provided despite our request. The shower was another work of art. The drainage outlet was blocked and one virtually had to get in and out of the shower as it flooded within minutes of being opened. Insufficient toiletries were provided. In the 16 on days that we were there. Nobody came to clean the place. The Indian male who said that he was from Bangladesh told me that a cleaner would come to clean the apartment. I discovered that he lied. I saw him cleaning the apartment opposite me. He was very arrogant and aggressive when we complained about the general untidyness of the place. There was no place to store our clothing . The built in cupboard was full of junk. The pots were rusty.
I also requested for the place to be made special as my wife was celebrating her birthday. On her birthday they sent a contractor to replace a broken window. We had to remain in the apartment until the work was complete. No one cleared up after the mess.
In a nutshell. This place is a disgrace and no decent human being should book there.
- Sarah (8/5): We loved this flat and our stay, it had loads of positives but it needs a bit of TLC - Location to where we needed to be
Gorgeous lay out
Nice bedding
Good facilities Quite a few broken things. The blinds and the fridge door, a window and the sofa bed springs were hard!
- Tom (9/5): Excellent room, but the behaviour of the cleaner upset me - Very comfortable and a large size The cleaner let himself in before the check out time when I was still in bed. This was unnecessary and rude. He then walked across the room, around the bed, and retrieved some bedding from a cupboard. He then let himself in again 2 minutes before the check out time. Luckily I was dressed and ready to leave, but again this was unnecessary and annoying, as it felt like an invasion of my personal space.
- Sarah (2/5): Very poor -
- Gareth (4/5): Disappointing - Location
- Dmytro (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cristina (8/5): Very good - This place has everything for a stay. It's a standard studio apartment. We didn't meet the staff.
- Hazrat (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jing (1/5): I wouldn’t recommend this apartment. - The position is good. There had been no hot water for the last two days during our stay. I politely sent the accommodation provider but he didn’t answer. I called him several times but he didn’t even pick up so I had to leave him a voicemail. He didn’t reply, either. He just didn’t want to solve the problem. I contacted Booking and was told I would get a reply in 24 hours. By the time they replied to ask me to provide more details, we had already left London.
- Daniel (7/5): Good - Good location, very close to Barbican tube station. Quiet, good value for location. The fixtures and fittings are rather tired and worn in places. Could do with a lick of paint and freshen up.
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Matej (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (5/5): Passable -
