• Vicki (10/5): Most of all, we appreciated how helpful and kind our host was. - We like that it had tatami mats, a futon, a patio, and kitchen. It was in a quiet area, a close walk to the train station.

We had everything we needed from kitchen, washing machine, toothbrush’s and a little garden. A great location with 2 stations nearby and 25 min walk to shinjuku area. The hosts were so helpful leading up to our stay, and even picked us up and dropped us off at the local station. They made us feel very welcome in Tokyo! 🤩😊

It was also close to the Okubo Station. The host was very lovely and welcomed my partner and me warmly. On the checkout day, the host even drove us to Shinjuku Busta. We were truly impressed by the host’s kindness. We couldn’t find the name ‘東洋の家-26 square meter Treadmi Garden House101’ on Google Maps because it appears under the name ‘LA SPERANZA’, which made it confusing to navigate to the accommodation. We also had a bit of difficulty contacting the host for check-in. But after checking in, everything was great and we had no issues at all.

• Panagiotis (10/5): Fantastic place to stay with a great host - The location was excellent. The Shin-Okubo station is within walkable distance. In addition to this, the host was very kind and helpful. He gave us information about the area and where we can go. He also picked us up from the station when we arrived and he dropped us off when we departed. That was very much appreciated. We will definitely stay there next time we come to Japan. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property

Immer ein Getränk zur Hand wenn man ihn trifft. Sehr kommunikativ. Wir haben uns rundum willkommen gefühlt und wurden zum Abschied noch zum Bahnhof gebracht. Der Preis war auch mehr als fair. Besser geht es eigentlich nicht.

La casa confortevole e pulita, se si vuol respirare e vivere in un tipico alloggio giapponese è il luogo giusto. The flat was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. This was by far the best experience we’ve had when it comes to holiday accommodations. Highly recommend! I hope that we will be able to come back!

The host is amazing, picking us up and dropping us off to the train station upon arrival and departure, as well as delivering coffees in the morning. All the electronic equipment in the apartment works perfectly, and the detailed instruction list ensures everything is easy to use. The apartment is quite small but it’s thoughtfully designed and equipped with everything you need.

We feel truly lucky to have found a place like this with everything equipped - kitchen, storage, little private yard, and to have met the host - a kind, generous and gracious man, who picked us up and dropped us with his car. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody! You can't miss it! Nothing

• Brendan (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our short time at La Speranza - located one stop away from Shinjuku, nearby Tokyo's Korea Town - it's a little bit more of a local vibe in the area, but there is still a lot nearby and you're well connected with the subway. Our host was a highlight of the stay - he was very keen on making sure we arrived and left the accommodation comfortably, and is willing and ready to drive you to the subway station. He toured us around the building and our room, making sure we understood how to use everything and that there would be no questions - he was very friendly, helpful, and funny. He even made sure we had cans of coffee and tea before we headed out upon check-out. The room itself is comfortable, perfect for someone staying longer term and needing a kitchen, the beds were comfortable and the outdoor space very peaceful (an added bonus that we didnt expect!). Would definitely recommend and stay here again :) Nothing!

• Dylan (7/5): Good enough stay for a quick stop in Shinjuku. - The owner was generous, informative and accommodating with pick up/check-in and even dropped us off at the station when we checked out. Apartment is on the small side and a squeeze for a three of us (couple with a small child) but it is what it is in Japan. The kitchen could be a lot cleaner, and it was hard to do washing up and prep any food due to the lack of bench space. The property isn’t where it says it is in Shinjuku so that’s a bit annoying but the owner made up for it by offering pick up and drop off service.

• Jacopo (10/5): Super and lovely house in tokyo - Super host, very kind and helpful, we received a royal welcome. Water, drinks and transfers offered as a gift. Very clean house and in a strategic position for visiting Tokyo. The house has everything you need for cooking, washing clothes etc. It also has a courtyard/garden that allows you to enjoy the beautiful morning sun. Sleeping in the futons was wonderful. Do yourself a favor: book here to enjoy a truly welcoming Japanese atmosphere. Nothing!
• Sunnimoon (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, but only 15mins walk from subway station. There are a lot of cute stores and restaurants, which makes the stay very convenient. Room is much bigger than we expected, and with literally EVERYTHING you need inside, even drip coffee, a small kitchen and a washing machine. Traditional Japanese style bedroom, clean sheets, as foreigners we get a special experience here. The host received us and showed us the room with great hospitality, and he recommended the Shinjuku area and where to go, what to eat, very nice guy. Highly recommend and I will come back next time in Tokyo.
• Florian (10/5): Awesome apartment with all one could ask for - Very nice apartment with everything kne would want: kitchen, bathroom, toilet and the livingroom/bedroom with original japanese Futons on tatami mats. I had an apartment with a terrace too. The owner is incredibly nice, he asked me where and when I would arrive and picked up me and my baggage by car drom the station, but then even drove me with all my baggage back to the station after my stay. I felt right at home and would always come back here.

• Wei (10/5): Amazing stay with great amenities and great location. - The host was very kind and friendly, he had made the effort to come and pick us up at the nearest train station which made it easy for us to find the place. He was very warm and welcoming, gave very clear instructions on how to enter and operate appliances in the house. He had also arranged to drop us off at the train station, which is of great help given the amount of luggage we had when we left the place. The balcony sliding doors allow cold air to seep in, but that cant be helped given that it is winter. It could be alleviated with blocking it with cushions.

You get a nice apartment that's located very close to Shin-Okubo, and decently close to Shinjuku and Takadanobaba (all great, bustling areas especially for nightlife). The space was clean and tidy. You have a kitchen with a microwave, rice cooker, and kettle. Also a washing machine. The owner gave a lot of instructions but was otherwise hands-off during the stay. Even with the heater on, the main living room has some cold spots, especially by the door to the little yard (there were some pillows provided to act as insulation but they don't do the best job).

Neighbourhood was peaceful and quite but still had plenty of things around Accomodation was a little tight for 2 people, as with most accom in Japan. Would be perfect for solo traveller.

• Nils (10/5): A great place to stay when in Tokyo! - - close to Okubo and Shin-Okubo station - also walking distance to Shinjuku station (about 20 min) - shops and restaurants nearby - the host is really friendly and picked us up from shin-okubo station and dropped us to Shinjuku station when leaving - clean apartment, good wifi, nice shower, fridge, cooking area, and washing machine - some hanging space inside and in the small patio outside - lovely small additions such as hair wash and body wash, tissues, water bottles etc. The place was better than we expected. • Micaela (10/5): Exceptionally helpful hosts, great facilities, good location. - The hosts were exceptionally helpful: they picked us up from the Shinjuku train station at 11pm and drove us to the accomodation free of charge. We had a problem with the delivery of a wifi router, but they were instrumental in the resolution of the problem as they called the company and translated for us. Our first stay in Japan was much easier due to their support.
