Guest Reviews
- Expert Travel Media (7/5): Adequate for a short stay. - The property was clean and had everything needed for a short stay including basic kitchen supplies and bathroom products which were appreciated. Beds were comfortable.
The kitchen was suitable for preparing meals and had plenty of appliances.
It was reasonable value and for a short stay when you are out and about a good option. Not really a place to linger.
Short drive to major sites but nothing much in walking distance. The back deck was inaccessible and locked off, I assume because it was unsafe. The house had lots of heaters but in May we foubd it was really cold unless they were all on.
There is a bus stop across the road but not many buses. I recommend this property for those with vehicles.

- Rebecca (7/5): Affordable blue mountains base - Affordable accommodation over the long weekend. Good communication by the host. Gave us early check in on request. Note it's pet friendly (we don't have one, but good for other guests to know). Note it does have a laundry (another review said it didn't) it was downstairs - helpful for damp clothes we had on a rainy weekend! The one bathroom is tiny (if staying with non family members this may be an issue). As pictured, dining seating for four people only (if you're staying with more you may find this annoying, and lounge seating limited). As noted in description main bed is a double which may be too small for some. House needing upkeep/repair - back deck is closed off from house as rotted which is a shame as it doesn't make the most of afternoon sun and big backyard. Having to empty a dishwasher before check out is annoying for breakfast dishes. It's not near town, so you'll need a car - not in walking distance.
- Vincent (9/5): - Quiet location, Nice house Water mixer hard to handle in the bathroom. Poor isolation (but efficient heaters so ok)
- Rebbeccah (9/5): It was a homely experience. - The host was very responsive during the whole process. There was tips at the premises of things to do in the area and local cafe's. There was provision for heating in all the rooms.
- Alice (10/5): Great place and great location - The property had everything we need Nothing
- Amandine (7/5): Maison cosy - Grandes pièces et lits confortables. Environnement calme. La mauvaise isolation thermique de la maison. Nous avons eu très froid surtout la nuit malgré le chauffage.
- Kaylee (7/5): Great spot for a few days away, perfect location between all the wonder sights of the blue mountains - Very cosy cottage. Great location.
(We all loved getting out the car to the noise of the neighbours sheep/goats 😂) Home from home!
The host had left a note of places to eat/see/do.
My 4 year old daughter loved the DVD player, first time watching Disney movies! ♥️ I wouldn’t say didn’t like … but maybe the bedding could be updated. The bed was very comfy tho!
The bathroom is on the small side for a large family staying if up to 6 people.
Would have used a washing machine if available.
- michelle (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (7/5): - Location to things to see in katoomba The beds in main rooms only double.
Bathroom too small ,shower over bath needs up grade .Having to empty dish washer before leaving should only have to put on.Laundry down stairs have to go outside to use.
- shajahan (5/5): -
- Tom (8/5): -
- Tylie (10/5): - Luxmi was exactly as advertised. Warm and welcoming with space for our family of 5.
The kitchen and bathroom were nicely stocked with essentials. There were also plenty of games and movies to enjoy on a wet night.
A great location close to all the best hiking and dining experiences the Blue Mountains have to offer.
- Marianne (7/5): Goed - Mooie rustige omgeving Oude badkamer, douchen in bad. Balkon aan de achterkant van het huis erg slecht qua onderhoud
- Rebecca (8/5): Cute, quaint mountain stay - The bedrooms were large and great with comfy beds, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was a bit old but that was to be expected from the photos. We arrived on an extremely windy, cold and wet weekend so we did need to pile on the extra blankets, but they had electric blankets! The house was full of character and management were really lovely. We couldn't get the main heater to work for more than 20 minutes so the sitting room got quite cold! But it was cosy enough to watch movies and chill after hiking (could do with extra comfy seating for more than 2 people). And to note it's a little while away from anything (cafes, shops, tourist areas) so you'll have to drive 10 - 15 minutes to do anything.
- Kathleen (8/5): Lovely stay with our family and dog . - This place was cosy and comfortable with a spacious garden. It was A few basic things were missing such as a cork screw, bottle opener and olive oil .
- Hala (9/5): -
- Susanne (8/5): The owner provided everything necessary to make it a hassle free stay. Thankyou. - Plenty of room Location was a bit far from katoomba
- Harpreet (7/5): - Close to all amenities Beds were small and would have been better with king-size beds.
- Manuel Luis (8/5): - La ubicación. Como íbamos de paso, no pudimos aprovechar mucho.
- Karen (8/5): Lovely responsive owner, quiet location, neat and tidy with comfortable beds - Comfortable beds, quiet location, huge yard, off street parking, responsive owner, warm and cozy Timber decking at rear was quite unsafe- protruding nail heads, possibly some timber rotting and some of the balustrade was broken or loose. Not suitable for children in its current condition. The bathroom is very small for 6 adults staying in the house and shower is over a bath which was a bit difficult to manage.

- Elles (7/5): - Prima accommodatie.
- Lesley (7/5): -
- Fads (1/5): Unhygienic, horrible host, no hot water in freezing winter. Left early out of necessity. - Avoid this property at all cost!
Arrived to find dirty bedsheets with someone else’s hair on them, completely unhygienic. Host promised new sheets the next day, no one came.
The next day, the hot water stopped working in the middle of winter. Tried to reach the host via Whatsapp and a phone call but got ignored. Host read my Whatsapp messages but chose not to respond.
Had to heck out 2 days early with no refund because the property was unfit for stay and host was uncontactable.
This was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had!
- Gerben (8/5): -
- Sonia (8/5): Nice Property - Great location, nicely decorated.
Host is helpful and friendly. Bathroom is small, but functional. There was an issue with heater in main living area but
Host was fast to respond to help resolve.
- Cécile (8/5): Très bien! -
- Kelsey (10/5): -
- Yass (9/5): - Easy route from home, the privacy to the property, location under 15 minutes away from tourist attractions. The cleanliness & thoughtfulness, the house is equipped with almost everything you need, making it feel like "home" instantly, you feel the warm welcoming ☺️
Communication with the property owner was also exceptional with assistance and guidance given throughout our stay 🙏 🙂 we would love to return & tell others about this property 😊
- Jing (9/5): A super clean and comfortable house - great value for money. - very clean and comfortable house. Bathroom is bit small
- Jemma (10/5): Really lovely stay, perfect for what we needed ! Lots of room for rhe kids to play in the back yard. - It was close to everything, such a clean and well stocked house for kids. Great communication ! Some of the railings weren’t safe on the back verandah.
- Iris (10/5): Cozy and Convenient Location - Cozy and clean.
- Nathan (9/5): -
- Leila (9/5): - It was very warm. Thanks for leaving the heating on Nothing
- Benjamin (10/5): Warm cosy and spacious! - Awesome place to stay in Katoomba! The weather was terrible when we were there and this cosy place was exactly what we needed. Super warm with heaters in every bedroom. Massive backyard for fun family times (if the weather had permitted).
The owner was extremely helpful and has also left lots of great local tips and advice at the house.
Will definitely be staying here again when we return!
- Natasha (9/5): -
- karen (9/5): Our second visit to have a wonderful family weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary - Lovely 3 bed & pet friendly property. In lovely settings with a big garden .
- Diana (6/5): Perfect for those who love a peaceful and quiet environment - The kitchen had almost everything we needed. Had seasonings, assorted tea and coffee. Heaters worked well and there was 1 heater in every room too. Beds had electric heated blankets too. The place was clean and stock with sufficient toilet paper and dish washing detergent for our 4 days there. Easy to drive in and out of the driveway. This unit is ideal for those who like a quiet and peaceful environment. The washing machine and dryer was not within the unit. It was outside of the house. Quite inconvenient for cold and wet weather. At night, you'll need to use your handphone light to navigate your way. Limited electrical plug connections for laptops and chargers. A box of tissue would have been great. The living room and dining room lighting was a bit dim (warm lightings). The lighting of the house and the window blinds are such that people outside can see the movement of the people inside. We are city dwellers and were spooked by the quietness.
- Carmen (8/5): Good location for a stay in the Blue Mountains - Spacious house with garden, kitchen was well equipped and the host was very nice. The bathroom
- Olivia (9/5): Quiet home close to Katoomba CBD! - The house was close to the Katoomba city centre, yet it was very tranquil and calm around the place. The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped with stock and kitchenware!
- Brendan (10/5): - Excellent property. The host was so lovely and accommodating.
- Lisa (9/5): Fantastic stay! - We had three adults, a baby, and a cat. There was plenty of room for everyone and we could easily fit the litter tray in the bathroom. The location was fantastic. It was only a few minutes in the car to get to Katoomba centre or the national park. There are bus stops out the front, but we didn't use them. The kitchen was fully stocked with saucepans etc. It was cold and very wet, but we had no trouble keeping warm with the heaters and blankets provided. The backyard was very spacious, but there were no side fences etc to stop a dog from running out the front.
- Elizabeth (10/5): We had a wonderful girls mid week break at Luxmi. Extra clean and comfortable with fabulous communication from the host. - The property is centrally located with easy access to many points of interest in the Blue Mountains. It is well laid out and provides both comfort and privacy especially when in a group stay.
- Tracy (9/5): Simply perfect! Thoughtful host, cosy place. We’ll be back! - This place is just perfect!! Everything you need & nothing you don’t! The host was so amazing. Very responsive and accommodating. Lots of wildlife to experience right at the house itself. Very thoughtful stocking of the house, too. Even had Cadbury drinking chocolate for us! The beds are super comfy and linens are nice. Great little chalkboard with recommendations for local sights, eats, etc. Host even has a “treasure chest” you open to receive a gift on your last day. I won’t spoil the surprise, but it’s fabulous!! Super thoughtful & fun! 😊 Struggling to think of what could be better..! Perhaps an extra tea-towel or two for drying washing up, and a hand towel for the bathroom..? Plenty of nice, fluffy towels provided, though! Or maybe a bit of “joojing” to the back deck, and a little outdoor set there as it would make a brilliant place to sit & have coffee with the local birds & wildlife?
- Lesley (9/5): Distinctive property in good location - Characterful and well equipped in a good location to explore the area. Helpful owner and thoughtful touches such as washing powder and cooking staples. Small and rather draughty bathroom. Exterior decking showing signs of wear.
- Mori (10/5): Perfect accommodation and hospitality! - すべての設備が整っていて、静かな住宅街にありました。どこに行くのにもすごく便利です。
自然豊かな環境の中に立っていて、お得な価格で泊まれたことに心から感謝しています
- Claudia (9/5): - The appartement was very nice and clean. Perfect for some days in the Blue Mountains. Major attractions like 3 sisters/echo point or Grand Canyon Walk are not far away. The area around was very quite. Luxmi provided a treasure box at the end of the stay ... nice idea and very much appreciated.
- Ute (10/5): - Comfortable beds, full equipped, good location, good communication with the owner
- raphael (8/5): Bon plan bon rapport qualité-prix pour une famille de 5 - Quartier calme à 5 min du centre en voiture
Très bon rapport qualité prix

- Dawn (9/5): Luxmi was a cosy, warm and very comfortable place to stay. Situated in a quiet location just a short drive from Katoomba - It was extremely clean and in a lovely quiet location just a short drive from Katoomba. - Kara (10/5): Home away from home - The property was neat and tidy in a quiet area. It was a great base to visit key locations at the Blue Mountains. We had a large vehicle that easily fit in the driveway. I really liked the attention to detail with a suggestion board of restaurants and places to visit. The property had a variety of amenities that made the stay more comfortable. To thank guests, a treasure chest with a gift inside was a thoughtful and fun addition to the stay. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The property was comfortable, homely, and functional. The property was pet friendly, which is a great bonus. I can't fault this property or the hosts. The property is not fully fenced, but the hosts are working on this in the near future. This did not impact us at all during our stay.
- Nic (10/5): -
- Grace (9/5): Home away from home - Great location, close to Katoomba town centre. Home is very comfortable and fully equipped with heaters, books and DVDs, and kitchen tools. Lots of small touches that makes the place homey. Master bed mattress sagging in the middle and pillows too soft
- Jennifer (10/5): Mountain bliss - Location Quiet spotlessly clean
Accommodating host
Ease of access
Well equiped
Beautiful spot All outstanding esp parking access
- Sevgi (10/5): Will stay again with my family enjoyed our time at luxmi. - It was homely and clean. It was easy to find. It had adequate heating. Communication with the owner was also amazing. Kids really loved all the activities and toys that were available. I liked everything.
- Gillene (9/5): Quiet Getaway close to everything - The Location specially on how close and quiet it was. We loved the little suggestion board that allows us not to think too much on where to eat or where to go. And the space was big enough for all of us. Nothing. It was a very enjoyable stay

- jaskaran (9/5): -
- Janice (6/5): Mostly met our needs but could have been a lot better. - Location was convenient Please monitor smoke alarm batteries. Spent our last night listening to a beeping alarm.
Have some extra blankets for those who do not like electric blankets.
The safety of the back balcony is questionable
Some milk on arrival would be nice
Controls on the stove unreadable.
Information about the equipment in the house would be welcome
- Susan (10/5): Beautiful little cottage. - Beautifully presented cottage. It had everything we needed. Loved our 2 nights. Only one toilet
- JenL (9/5): -
- ZDENKA (8/5): - I like that it was cute cosy home and had everything we needed. In room we had the bed was very low.
Sorry to say but It was bit dusty around.
And it's actually far from the Katoomba station so if you don't have car you need to get taxi.
- karen (9/5): Amazing weekend to the Blue Mountains in a lovely place. Looking forward to coming back - Beautiful quite location with all the sounds of nature. It was immaculately clean with good sized bedrooms and all the facilities we needed as a family. We arrived in the dark but the lights had been left on which was a nice homely touch. In the morning we were amazed at the huge garden, perfect for our dog. For pet owners: Please note but the outside area is not fully fenced at the front of the property.

Can’t wait for our next stay! Vanessa
- Kate (10/5): A gorgeous mini break in cute Luxmi cottage - We had a delightful stay at Luxmi cottage. The accommodation is comfortable and homely and exactly what we were after for a mini break. Luxmi is well off the Great Western Hwy so nice and quiet, but nice and close so you can drive to Katoomba and Leura in minutes. The owner has thought of everything with lovely surprise touches throughout. We will be back for sure! Nothing

Huge backyard for kids to play in . We had a lovely stay
Host was lovely . Will definitely stay again ⭐️
- Stacey (8/5): A lovely family home which is warm and inviting. - It was very clean, neat and tidy. Very quiet and cosy. It was tricky with the dog because it wasn’t fully fenced so she was tied up a lot. But we knew that before we booked. We have a very lazy dog.

Three well sized bedrooms, all with heaters, a cosy living/dining/kitchen area and plenty of room in the backyard to kick a ball around! The house was clean and neatly presented with kitchen and bathroom essentials provided.

Would highly recommend this property!
