Laura is the most kindest host!
Location is perfect. Around 25 minutes walking distance from Colosseum. Metro is 8 minutes away and bus station just around corner.
Would recommend it to my friends planning to go to Rome!
- Brandon (9/5): Comfortable, clean, good value for money - Very spacious and comfortable place to stay in San Giovanni. Great facilities provided. The owner of the property - Laura was very welcoming and provided a lot of great recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and information about transport around Rome. The property is very clean and well kept, and resides in a quiet area therefore not a lot of noise or disturbances. A short walk to the Metro’s at San Giovanni and Re Di Roma, making travel to different areas in Rome very accessible. Found this to be a fantastic stay altogether and great value for money compared to other accommodations in Rome which are typically not cheap. Nothing

From the moment we booked, Laura was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable.
Laura's hospitality exceeded our expectations. She was always available and went above and beyond by sending us daily updates with valuable information. Each day, she provided us with a list of recommendations on where to eat, offering insider tips that only a local would know. Additionally, Laura equipped us with useful information about sightseeing, as well as updated timetables for trains and buses, which greatly facilitated our travel plans around and beyond the city.
The apartment itself was located conveniently close to the city center, making it easy for us to explore Rome's enchanting streets and historical landmarks. The cleanliness and welcoming ambiance of the apartment made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in.
Overall, our experience with Laura as our host in Rome was nothing short of excellent. Her attentiveness and dedication to ensuring we had a pleasant stay were remarkable. For anyone planning a trip to Rome, I highly recommend staying at Laura’s place for a genuine and comfortable Roman experience.

- Mario (10/5): Beautiful warm place in the center of Rome - La Casetta di San Giovanni is a unique and particular place.
Laura with her availability and hospitality makes everything special.
The house is warm, welcoming, decorated for Christmas, full of details, ancient things and a collection of books available.
The rich breakfast allows you to wake up and feel at home.
The presence of the terrace and the garden is a flagship for Rome.
It's super central, with the metro just a stone's throw away and the station that takes you to Fiumicino a five-minute walk away.
There is a fruit and vegetable market under the house, and several supermarkets (also open 24 hours a day) full of bars and restaurants in the area.
Via Appia for shopping and the Basilica of San Giovanni, all within 10 minutes on foot.
If you like walking, you can get to the Colosseum in 25 minutes.
In short, a place I will definitely return to every time I am in Rome.
- Tommaso (10/5): Fantastic experience - I had a beautiful experience at Laura's house!
The atmosphere is very warm and cosy, the house is super furnished and I had everything I needed to feel like home. The style is the best feature of this house, it has a nice little garden an incredible rooftop and is so well connected with the metro few minutes away.
I had the best time in Rome and is also because I found this hidden gem! Highly recommended
- Anna (8/5): Very good - The best feature about my stay here, was definitly our host Laura and the location of the b&b. Laura was verry helpful with tips and information and easily reachable!
35 minute walk from the centrum but bus and train was close by. As was mini markets, a pharmacy and great restaurants!
The accomodations was also good. A quiet area and the other residents of the building did not make a lot of noise or disturbances.
A market near by with fresh fruit and vegetables and reused cheap clothing as well! The bed was a bit hard. But big!
The shower was a bit small and the hot water ran out fairly quick. But it is an old building, so what you would expect.
The breakfast that was included was a variation of packaged food and yoghurt in the fridge. Not the best or the worst. We usually ate out.
A little bit of storage for clothes would have been nice😊
- Antoine (9/5): Superb - Breakfast included (very convenient) and above all, Laura was very active and committed for her guests' well being!
- Mary-elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was perfect - artistically decorated, with large bedroom with breakfast table, kitchen and bathroom. Also, access to terrace which catches the sun and the cool evening breezes. All this just 4 metro stops from Roma Termini. Laura was the perfect host, so friendly and attentive, she takes a real interest in her guests. She even made a fuss of me on my birthday!! I will definitely stay here again - as long as Laura has a vacancy. As her reputation is clearly growing so quickly you need to book well ahead! Thank you again Laura for making my stay in Rome so memorable! N/A
