Guest Reviews
- Mark (4/5): Overall it would be tollerable if it wasn't as expensive. For about £30 a night less, I'd be happy. - Entry was easy with codes provided in advance. There was a window and it had a private ensuite shower. They had put effort into making it look nice like fairy lights. The shower worked well and maintained flow and temperature throughout use. Lock on the door didn't feel very secure. There was a lightweight slider-type flat bolt but didn't feel super safe. The TV came on in the evening and someone started browsing the options and selected Netflix - which was creepy when I was in the room alone and the remote was the other side of the room. Some of the features need finishing touches - like the fixing in the shower missing a cover, so it leaves the fairly sharp edge to catch yourself on. The pillows are lumpy and need updating. Some of the electrical fittings (bedside light) weren't properly secured to the wall. All of these things I'd forgive and wouldn't raise if the price wasn't so much. For about £30 less per night I'd not have found issue with it, but for what they're charging it needs to be a step up.

- paul (7/5): It served its purpose for a work trip. - WiFi and location for work Poor water pressure in the shower.
And towels are too small.
- Holly Emelia Fleur (10/5): - It’s cozy I didn’t get how to work the shower for hot water
- Noce (6/5): Basic but it is london zone 1 and there fore the price is affordable - It is very close to Elephant and Castle, within walking distance, with lots of amenities and the underground nearby, so the location is very convenient. The flat is small but has everything you need for one night. It would benefit from a cleaner entrance, even if this may depend on the wider building community rather than the host, and the flat can be noisy because it sits on a main street, which is worth keeping in mind. Overall, it could use a refresh for the price, but it still works fine for a short stay. It is very budget and nothing special, but for London this is generally what you get.
- Kleiner (9/5): Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto - Ottima posizione, comoda a raggiungere fermata bus e vicina a tutti i servizi.
- Dianah Giusy (5/5): Alright - Studio Something was making noise in the room
- E (9/5): Superb -
- Liz (10/5): Very clean, good for public transport and shops, bustling neighbourhood, pet friendly, park nearby. - Spotlessly clean and seemed to be newly decorated. Very convenient for public transport. Lots of useful shops in the area and just a short walk from East St Market. Tidy little park just around the corner. Good value. Some of the fixtures and furniture were a bit flimsy, the toaster was broken and the first aid box was empty but everything seemed brand new. From the outside it looked run-down and dirty but everything was fine once you got inside the front door. If I had had the option I would have asked for a room on the ground floor rather than the 2nd Floor as I found the stairs a bit difficult but that is me rather than the stairs.
- Rees (8/5): Very good - Close to everything. And has everything you need. The front entrance could do with a lick of paint, and the doors don't seem to safe but were
- Mick (5/5): Passable -
- Mariana (8/5): Good value for money, small clean room near underground - The room was clean, if had basic kitchen facilities and a smart TV It was quite noisy due to location on major road
- Rahman (3/5): Not bad for a cheap stay just need to be better with communication - Bed was comfy Doubled booked us and faulty shower, sink tap
- Magar (8/5): Very good -
- Cjejejd (10/5): Exceptional - Very good Yes
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean the staff was nice easy access For the price I paid It was better than what I expected and definitely would return
- Laura (4/5): Disappointing - Bed was on a slant, door lock was hanging off the wall which didn’t fill me with confidence as it’s in a poor area
- Craig (7/5): Good - no breakfast, location was ok, an ok view out the window the front door looked like it had been kicked in at some point but new door when i was there but the latch on the inside was a small bit of metal holding the door shut when locked.
the window handles of the property where pretty much hanging off but just about locked the window.
the water in the kitchen sink took a while to go down as the same in the toilet sink
- Raj (5/5): Won't go there again - The studio is well located, there are bus stops just in front of the building and a metro station near by which is convenient. The person in charge let me check in early which was nice. Clean studio. 1. The mattress was not confortable, it had a hallow.
2. The studio is located on a busy road and the windows are poorly insulated, I could hear noises from the street at night.
3. There was mold in the shower and not enough water pressure.
4. The person in charge doesn't accept criticisms and insulted me after I gave him 5/10.
- Siddiqui (8/5): Very good -
- Bisi (3/5): Poor - The shower. Too many stairs to get into the flat. TV was not working properly network very poor. Room too small.
- Josh (6/5): Comfy bed, good value for money - Good value for money, needs a little work doing but bed was comfy. The lock on the door didn’t look 100% secure
- Θοδωρής (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (5/5): Passable - The mattress was uncomfortable. The feel of the place was "a bit ropey". The room was described as soundproof. There was a big gap under the door and the window didn't close properly
- Tassadaq (7/5): Good - Yess Good
- Beatrice (1/5): worst appartement ever! - nothing this apartment needs to be taken down from booking.com!
1. 30 minutes after we got into the apartment a couple was knocking at our door telling us that the host also gave them this apartment! the host gave the room away twice!!!! the couple then had no room!
2. we were told that we'll get the information how to enter the flat at 12 o'clock but we didn't hear anything from the host until 4 pm.
3. the bathroom was extremely cold with no possibility to heat it! it was also very gross (shower and sink with mold and leaking). there was no warm water in the shower in the beginning and suddenly boiling hot water came out of the shower which led to minor burnings!!!!!!
4. the window in the room was broken - due to that it was very cold especially because half of the bed was right under the window.
5. the building itself is in a horrible condition
DON'T BOOK THIS APPARTEMENT !!!!!
- Gabrielle (1/5): Bad - Had to get rid of several cockroaches and their babies in the kitchen area!
This resulted in any uneasy nights sleep.
Could of definitely been more of a clean living space and more attention to detail including decor.
Not the Best location as was very noisy...
Walls are quite thin as could hear banging, and constant police sirens shouting through the entire stay.
Window bolts broken so let in cold draft.
Pictures are deceiving....quite rundown outside.
Won't be booking again. Was not worth the price.
- Laurence (2/5): Very poor - The studio was clean Very badly put together. Dangerous electric plugs, paint work was very bad(over plugs and furnitures. Door lock looked like it had been broken into. Very noisy area (facing train track). Bathroom door could not shut) not enough space and same for the shower door.
- Tumenchig (5/5): Passable -
- Samme (8/5): Very good - Location The window was slightly open because the lock broken so noisy
- Luisrc7 (8/5): Very good -
- Barclay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Shane (10/5): Great, room was clean and tidy only stairs need an attention - Room was clean and tidy only stairs need an attention
- Anonymous (3/5): Wouldn’t try again - It was very light The bed broke halfway through the night, the shower was broken at the bottom, the main areas were filthy, I.e stairwell was very poorly maintained, there was a lot of dirt and dust on the floor especially one side of the bed
- J (10/5): Overall experience was great, compared to the location is cheap and very good - Overall experience was great, compared to the location is cheap and very good
- Sophie (4/5): You get what you pay for and in London £100 does not get you much. Cheap(ish), not very cheerful and an absolute nightma - The location was great, really easy to find.
It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room is self check in with a lock box which is so incredibly hard to open, and then a door that is also really hard to unlock. It took us 15 minutes to get in to the room which late in the evening was not ideal. The building is tired and old, the hallway/stairs look like student accommodation and a bit rough.
The room was so hot, thank god for the fan. The facilities are old, sink cracked, shower wonky on the base…everything just felt a bit grubby and cheap- we didn’t even shower as it looked so uninviting.
Check in information wasn’t given to me until 2:45 when we were supposed to be able to check in at 3pm. I was told then that the room wasn’t available until 3:45 which meant I couldn’t drop off my stuff and had to carry it around all evening. To be fair to the host they did offer a late check out but we could not make the most of that, and wouldn’t have wanted to stay much longer in the room than just to sleep. We called the host when we were really struggling to get into the room, who wasn’t particularly helpful but didn’t seem to mind being disturbed, which was nice.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Charlotte (7/5): simple room - We needed a cheap place for 1 night near to Waterloo. For the price and location, my friend and I were glad we were able to stay in this flat. It's very simple - with a bed, fridge, cooker all in one room and a little ensuite. There is a view of railway tracks. It was super quiet.
For one night, it was great. If you are planning on spending most of your time out and about it's also good as you can make simple meals with the hob, and get a good night's sleep. But if it's super hot or you want a nice place to be based in London, I would look elsewhere.
London flats/hotels etc are so expensive that we were glad we were able to find this place. The furnishings are nice and clean but the flat itself is quite run down; there was a thick smell of weed in the hallway; and one of the doors looked like it had been knocked down and replaced. we felt the price was quite fair considering all of this. most hotels in this price range will be similar/worse
- Mohammed (3/5): Below average - Good location Sink was cracked and toilet bowl was brown. Mice traps whilst going up the stairs to the flat so didn't have high hopes for the flat. However the room was clean and a good location. Only thing that put me off was the toilet bowl, which was brown, needs a good clean with some chemicals. Something I would have expected to be spotless.
- Georgie (5/5): Passable - Bed- comfy and really clean, good night sleep, nice looking bed area as well as the surrounding areas and the mirror area.
Location is good, travel links good. Some parts of the kitchenette and the bathroom and sockets in the flat were awfully unclean and the cleaner had literally just left. They really need to rip stuff out and install new stuff, the toilet especially was off putting, and the bathroom in general was very unclean.
Also it smelt terrible all through the stair well and the apartment and every now and then a sewage smell or almost toilet sewage smell came seeping through maybe every 15 minutes. I would say passable, but certainly not worth 50+ pounds.
Communication to get in...was told the cleaner would let me in but didn't and had to let myself in and get another person staying in the flats to help.
To advertise as an apartment is a massive overstatement, there isn't any ironing or washing facilities. It's a bed set with a small stove area and shower and coat cupboard by the door.
- Will (1/5): Criminal host NOT TO BE TRUSTED - Nothing. This was without a doubt the single worst experience I've had from Booking.com. In fact, from anywhere. First, the property told me at 7.30pm when I arrived that the room wasn't ready and I had to wait till 9pm. Then I left the property, only to discover on my return that the lock had jammed and I wasn't able to enter. The hosts the refused to provide assistance, prevented me from booking an alternative property by lying to booking.com saying I was drunk, it was my fault, I couldn't use the key properly, I sabotaged the door on purpose - the story kept changing - meaning I could only regain entrance at 10am the next morning. I was let in by a locksmith who vouched for me that it wasn't my fault at all and that it was the lock.
What's the worst thing about this? The hosts have blocked my number, refused to provide a refund, despite promising me they would provide one - all while telling booking.com lie after lie to prevent me getting compensated for a room I wasn't able to enter and being left out on the street all night in shorts and a t shirt.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY ARE CRIMINALS.
- Ariana (1/5): Not recommend - Nothing No lock in the door, dirty cutlery in the room that made it sink. I was promised a refund that was not given.
- Michael (6/5): All in all the stay was as expected and fairly good value. - Good location, self contained, all the facilities one could need, everything is as stated on the advert. The door lock is very difficult to open from the inside, could be a safety hazard and a lot of the light fittings are broken. TV remote didn't work (batteries maybe).
- Antony (5/5): Passable -
- Queen (6/5): Pleasant - Location Not clean . Dusty . Stains on towel and in the fridge as well.
- Alessio (6/5): Pleasant - Location, value for money
- Levi (7/5): The place was ok but waiting three hours to get in was ridiculous !! - Comfortable bed I was meant to check in at 3pm. When I got there there was no key in the lockbox. After calling a few times they finally answered the phone and told me that the key was locked in the room and the owner would drive over with another key (sometime after 6pm) !!
I had an appointment at 7pm in Camden and this made me late.
- Nazam (6/5): Pleasant - needed blinds or curtain to block light. kept waking up because of blinds with holes in 🙃. interrupted sleep
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hywel (1/5): avoid like the plague, these people should not be able to operate a business - nothing really, wasn't even clean see what i didn't like for how terrible it was though The worst accom experience I have ever had.
Check in stated before 12pm, however as I was text a lock box combination, I did not check in before my shift as I could open a lock box at any time. At approx 2am I arrived at the property, and after a lot of difficulty managed to get into the lock box only to find there was no key in the the lock box. At this stage I'm very confused, worried, and start to blame myself. I message the host, try calling them etc. And I sit on a nearby park bench anxious about what I am going to do as its now coming up to 3am and I'm stuck on the streets on London by myself.
booking.com and myself both trying to contact the host. At approx 5am I get messages and phone calls from the host. The host says there is no way the keys are missing, this must be my fault etc. Again at this stage I'm very worried, and confused. I assume this must be something I have messed up. The host manages to give me a code/get me through the buildings front door and now suggests I push on the apartment door as it will 'just be open.' I'm pushing and basically nearly bashing the inside apartment door at this stage in frustration whilst on hold to the host, nothing is making any sense, but I'm still following host instructions.
Then the door opens. There is a French couple on the other side of the door. Immediately I am apologetic as I assume I'm at the wrong door and woken someone up at 5am. I clarify with the host what the flat number is and let them know someone is inside. Things start getting even stranger. The host starts shouting, I'm phoning the police, get out of my apartment. I start to worry increasingly, who are these people?! Am I in danger.
I chat to them as the host is being aggresive. Both my host and the neighboring ahost have both set lock boxes to 0000 (really secure, not). This couple have taken the wrong key. Booking.com and the host both now refuse to give a refund as I agreed to 'stay here.
- Jd03 (9/5): Exceeded expectations. - Great location, easy to find, simple to collect keys, excellent room for the price, great night's sleep. Could be cleaner, but wasn't bad. Would prefer thicker curtains.
- Omair (7/5): Good -
- Stawicki (7/5): Good -
- Paulina (7/5): Good - You hey what you are paying for . Not much.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
