Guest Reviews
- Rudy (8/5): Perfect! - Location! Size of the accommodation! The corridor smell wasn’t very nice (before entering the accommodation)
- Simon (5/5): Great location but let down by the lack of heating/air con in the bedrooms - A well laid out apartment in a good location, nice view of the sea. Be warned! This place only has air con in 50% of the apartment, the communal areas, not the bedrooms
For us, we feel that you shouldn't rent out a two-bed apartment in the summer and winter with no air con/heating in the bedrooms. There's a small, slightly pathetic heater that kept the smaller bedroom (where our kids slept) just about warm enough to sleep, the other bedroom was freezing the whole time. On summer, it must be stifling.
Also, the hot water needs sorting out, hot water for only 5mins at a time just isn't good enough, especially when you're marketing the place as suitable for four people.
- Sarah (9/5): Really stunning views, had all essentials - Stunning views
- Sally (7/5): Lovely location - Fantastic location. Beautiful views. Modern apartment. Hot water only lasts about 5-6 minutes in shower. There’s some black mould on ceiling in bathroom. Our check-in was delayed until 6pm so we had to wait an additional 3 hours to access room, missing a dinner reservation we had booked.
- Gracie (9/5): Birthday getaway - A beautiful stay and an INCREDIBLE location for a birthday getaway!! It was absolute bliss waking up to the crashing waves on the beach.
We would stay there again next time we are in WA! There was an unpleasant odour in the corridor of the apartment complex. The apartment itself did not.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (7/5): Disappointing attitude from MRP… the arrogance is appalling - Lovely apartment nicely furnished great location Did not appreciate being woken at 9 am on our last morning by maintenance men sent by managenent company to allow access for no reason given … why they couldn’t wait until the apartment was vacant we don’t know. When I challenged some rude girl in the office who really had a very bad attitude and told me check out time was 10am incorrectly but apparently she knows better than the 11am time stated on info given to us …..so she argued with me and couldn’t understand why she had no right to send men to the apartment without notice. Utterly unprofessional and bad mannered.
- Anita (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, clean amd close to the beach. WiFi not working
- Beverley (4/5): Location is incredible, but for the price we paid ($500+pn) this unit was quite disappointing. - The location was amazing. The views from the balcony and main bedroom were just beautiful. The apartment was well located, within easy walking distance to restaurants and groceries. Beach literally footsteps away - incredible. The bedrooms were lovely and beds very comfy. While the apartment had been refurbed, I wasn't expecting the apartment block to be about 50 years old and quite run-down. We had issues with check-in - the lockbox code worked, but no keys inside. And the contact number was difficult to get hold of people. When we eventually got in, we had no bath towels, and had to wait until the following day to get someone to give us the code to the garage to find towels in there. The dishwasher was blocked on first use, so we didn't use it again. The microwave caused a short circuit to go off (luckily my husband is an electrician and could fix). The living area was extremely cramped and much smaller than it appeared in photos. There was no pantry storage in the kitchen. The fans in the two bedrooms were somehow interconnected, so that when one turned a light on, the light came on in the second bedroom. The garage to the property was not usable, so we were told to park anywhere in the visitors parking. However, available parking spots were limited in numbers and on a couple of occasions, all of the parking spots were gone, so we had to drive out of the property and park across the highway (and had to then cross the busy highway by foot to get back into the property).
- Thomas (10/5): Calming spot in a great location - Loved the location and the general vibe of the place. Very clean and well organized! Would have been nice if there were instructions for the washer/dryer, it was confusing to use. Also, we wished there were Nespresso pods to go with the machine. There was one single decaf pod and that’s all.
- Melanie (9/5): We were here for 6 nights close to all the beaches/bars - Location and views 1 toilet
- Vikki (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Upon arrival I wasn’t sure what I had done as the property looked a little run down compared to the surrounding properties. Then we opened the door to our room and we were totally blown away by the room, the view and the facilities. It is a little difficult to find the key
- Fergus (10/5): Amazing - Had a beautiful time the experience was amazing Love everything about it
- Andrew (10/5): Finished our 5 weeks trip visiting family around Australia and glad we did but wish we had booked over the weekend too a - Number 15 was at the perfect height to enjoy the views. The apartment was modern clean and well equipped from cooking items to utilities and so very comfortable. It’s on two floors making it feel more like a house. We have stayed in many hotels and Airbnb’s so rate this one highly. Don’t let the entrance from the road put you off as there’s plenty of private parking and secure electric operated gate. The short walk to fab beach and Scarborough shops and events is a must. We were in apartment number 15 so please request this one as I understand that some not so good feedback has been left for other apartments in the same building.
- Lucy (9/5): Beautiful beach front apartment. Bright and airy. Homely. Well equipped. - Amazing views. Lovely balcony. Gorgeous kitchen. All very well equipped. 2 large double bedrooms, one with sea views. The only slight negative was the key situation wasn’t easy with 4 people who didn’t always go out together. More keys required ideally.
- Andy (4/5): We feel like we have been taken advantage of! - I have written a whole review on Google so I suggest you read about Honey B apartment on there before you book. But to summarise here;
- There is a mold issue in the bathroom
- Previous reviews had highlighted this and so I asked Margaret River Properties (MRP - who run the apartment) prior to our arrival if the mold issue had been rectified. They said it had....but they lied - it had not.
- I explained our frustrations at this after paying a lot of money for a family holiday. I wouldn't have cared if they said that there was an issue with mold, I would have booked elsewhere. I just wanted some transparency.
- It's now been over a month of being brushed off by MRP who keep claiming they are going to look into the situation but it's me that is constantly having to chase them. They have shown their true colours and clearly don't actually care about their customers as long as they get paid
- If you value your health, don't stay here, as exposing yourself to mold in a poorly ventilated area can cause health issues (I work in the health industry)
- If you stay in a MRP property and something goes wrong, don't expect them to care or help
- Cayli (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Scarborough - Stunning apartment with a gorgeous sunset view over the ocean. It was spotless and beautifully decorated. A short walk to restaurants and cafes. Perfect spot to stay in Scarborough.
- Andrew (9/5): Great again … thanks - Fabulous location right on the beach
Balcony lovely
Bbq useful
Beds very comfy
Nespresso machine a bonus No live tv in bedrooms
Need more chairs on balcony
- Giuseppe (1/5): Don't stay here - There appeared to be black mould on the bathroom ceiling and small bugs through out the apartment.
After returning from dinner, there was nowhere safe to park my vehicle. Me and my partner had to vacate the property due to this, otherwise the signs stated our car would be towed. On our way to vacate the property, there were many people drinking in the carpark and they made it very uncomfortable for us. Honeyb have avoided contacting us to resolve the situation.
DO NOT STAY HERE
- Nur (10/5): Perfect apartment for a family. Wished we had more time. - Perfect apartment, complete with kitchen, washer/dryer, Netflix, comfy beds. We slept good throughout the stay. Love the location and view from this apartment. Easy access to beach and parks. The second room didnt have a view and mirror:( we also didn’t like the strict check out time at 10am. But I guess it is common there.
- Renae (10/5): Exceeded expectations. This accom is perfect. So nicely set up, comfortable and with amazing views. Very central also. L - Such an incredible view! Awesome location. Super comfortable and spacious rooms with great facilities. Loved everything
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Maree (8/5): Very good - Location great and the view from balcony was great too. Amazing sunset views
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): Lovely stay would book again now that I know not to expect great WiFi or Netflix. - Lovely apartment with great views huge bedrooms nicely renovated and decorated. Beds extremely comfortable kitchen has everything you need including a nespresso machine ❤️ Couldn’t access Netflix on any of the three tvs and to get it reinstalled took a lot of ignored calls to the property manager and 36 hours. Finally the lovely Emma arrived to sort it out. Don’t need that on holiday.
- Lyndsay (9/5): Stylish flat, with great views, in a good location - Stylish decor, comfortable beds, lovely views, easy access to beach, walking distance to restaurants & shops. Good communication from rental company Would’ve been good to have more than one set of keys, sound proofing between flats not perfect, bathroom arrangement perhaps not ideal if more than one couple staying
- Montague (9/5): Superb -
- Mick (8/5): Very good -
- Songmao (9/5): Good place to stay - Location good Hard to get the key, more detailed guidance is needed, preferably with pictures
- Deborah (8/5): Very nice - Location was good. Very clean & tidy place. Lovely comfortable beds. Noise from unit above. Could hear them walking.
Parking was difficult with large 4WD.
- Murden (9/5): Beautiful location - Not enough hot water, ran out after 1 and 1/2 showers.
Heater required downstairs.
Only 1 dishwasher tablet for 1 week stay
- Shayne (9/5): It was a wonderful place and management team is prompt with answering any online queries. - Amazing location and view. The bed was very comfortable, and was great having a washing machine (with laundry liquid supplied). TV in bedroom wasn't connected to freeview and could only show Youtube, as no other services were available. There were only 4 coffee pods for the coffee machine and 3 teabags, while I was there for 6 days.
- Ruth (10/5): Lovley Apartment with a tasteful finish. - Great view
Lovley apartment
Local to town Getting into flat initially a little confusing.
- Larry (10/5): Exceptional - It was lovely and clean and.the ocean.view was beautiful and I didn't want to leave
