Guest Reviews
- Mary (10/5): Surrounded by beauty, peace, serenity and comfort. - A cosy, light and bright property with a beautiful view of the sea and palm trees.
Charming decor and kitchen with everything you need. Great size bathroom and water pressure. Lovely shower outside as well, near the seating area and a drying rack for clothes which I made good use of.
A wonderfully located private space to return to each day, after exploring the coastal track and having a dip at the gorgeous Jibbon beach, just a one minute walk from the property. The sunrise and sunsets were magnificent.
I have already booked for next year, this time to experience one of the other homes Ethel and Odes offer at this location.
Highly recommend.

- Cameron (8/5): I had a lovely time and the accessibility to the beach made it even better - Lovely place in a great quiet part of bundeena, very easy to access and super helpful and lovely staff. It was really hot when I arrived and much hotter inside - I think a little aircon would’ve made it like a piece of heaven.
- Jo (9/5): Gorgeous George - Very cozy
Great view
Well appointed
Very clean
Loads of light The bed was a little too soft for me but still comfy
Towels were a bit smelly

- Marion (9/5): Peaceful romantic getaway close to the best nature has to offer. - Location
Style
Privacy Only that there was no door to close into the bathroom and toilet. Sometimes I feel a bit more comfortable using the loo with I can close the door. 😉
- Carlo (8/5): Perfect stay for my partner and I. Loved it, we will be back - Position is perfect No bathroom door and no aircon but we managed
- Janelle (10/5): Perfect - Location Really was great no issues
- Jen (10/5): One of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed at. -
- Sharyn (8/5): - it was quite
very private
nice ocean view
walking to the beach and town was easy
it supplied everything we needed it had no bathroom door
no block out blinds so when the sun came up you were up
- Tanya (9/5): Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. - Beautiful location and view. Perfect weekend getaway set up. A door on the bathroom. An undercover outdoor area.
- Gloria (9/5): Hidden Gem - Breathtaking sea views. You can smell the sea salt in the air. Mosquitoes at night
- Katharine (8/5): Lovely little comfortable cottage with a beautiful view - The apartment had everything we needed.
Love the pod coffee. Just the open area to the toilet, was a bit akward
- Suzanne (9/5): Excellent - The location is fantastic, so close to the beach and local hikes through the national park. Space was peaceful and quiet. Loved the outdoor shower. Highly recommend, would stay again.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, the place has everything you need
- Jenny (9/5): Great location - Super cute cottage in an incredible location. So close to the beach and an easy walk to town. Comfy bed. Shower a little dirty.

- Roberta (10/5): Amazing stay in a fabulous room in gorgeous location. - Absolutely amazing location right near Jibbon beach in Bundeena.
Gorgeous room with everything we needed and more. It’s So comfortable. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you. Honestly- nothing.
- Amy (10/5): Very happy. Would happily come back and recommend to friends - Great location. Well appointed. Would love to come back again Not a criticism: not a great place to stay if you’re not close to whoever you’re staying with, given the lack of ‘full wall’ and door to the bathroom.
- Laurie (10/5): The property had absolutely anything you require for a short or medium stay - Location Location Location
- William (10/5): Lovely coastal sa - Lovely space with a relaxing coastal aesthetic. Great balcony space to relax in the sun. Although the accomodation is small it is great base to explore the area. The room is well equipped, including in the kitchen where we were able to cook meals with no issues. The bed is comfortable and ceiling fans great for warmer days. We look forward to staying again in the future. On busy days, there was not always parking available nearby, but this is not a significant issue as parking would become available in the evenings. Although main bathroom area (toilet/shower) is behind a wall, there is no door separating it from the main accomodation area, limiting privacy.
- Livingston (10/5): short but really enjoyable. A soft and comfortable house :) - amazing spot and beautiful room nothing :)
- Edwards (8/5): Very good -
- May (10/5): Exceptional -

- Miller (10/5): Excellent location for winter retreats, especially for writing. - Copy, warm, perfect for one. Enjoyed my stay & the view. My host was very helpful when WiFi had be turned off by workmen. The TV was confusing. I had only free-to-air because I couldn't find the others. Perhaps some basic instructions for techno phobs like me.
- Bree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Had a really nice time in Bundeena. Great spot and would happily return. - Great location. Lovely room Breakfast was just biscuit
- Davina (9/5): Lovely spot for a peaceful getaway. - The view of the ocean. Location was great - close to beach, hiking and a short walk from shops. Comfortable bed. All amenities you would require for a short stay (microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge, heater/fan, tv,, towels, lounge, plates, cutlery, glasses/mugs, etc). Clean. Street parking outside. Nothing major, but I don't believe it was mentioned prior to booking that there is no door on the bathroom. If you were staying with someone else this could pose a problem.
- Paula (6/5): A lovely place but totally overshadowed by the parking situation. On this trip we have booked twenty four properties and - The cottage was lovely and well equipped and in a good location for the beach. The parking! We are still trying to get our heads around this. There is a drive with enough room to park a car right outside the cottage but you’re not allowed to park on it! It states in the information details that anyone who does with be issued with a fine. I found this a very aggressive.
On leaving we bumped into a gentleman who was cleaning the cottages (who apparently was the owner’s father)who informed us the reason you can’t park on the drive is because the owner is worried about guests crashing the car into the building! Well, just put some sort of concrete bumpers in front of the property and let your guests have somewhere to park. Our stay was governed by the lack of parking and hostile residents getting angry about parking. It’s a ridiculous situation and one to bear in mind if you book.
Also there is no door to the bathroom. It might be trendy but unacceptable. No one wants to hear anyone using the toilet. Fit a sliding door.
You will need to self cater as there’s nowhere to eat in the evening. We walked into the town as we were so concerned about loosing our much valued parking space to find everywhere was shut at 6pm.
- Catherine (10/5): Wonderful wedding anniversary spent at Bundeena! - Wonderful wedding anniversary at Bundeena!
Everything was perfect Parking
- Gerrit (9/5): Superb - Great studio for a holiday break. All modcoms, 5min to beautifull beaches. Comfy bed. Great host. All good!
- Catherine (10/5): Fabulous stay near the beach! - Everything Parking
- Ian (9/5): Idyllic Bundenna Retreat - An ideal location just a couple of minutes from a very tranquil beach. The facilities were excellent everything you could need and check in and out very easy. Even sun screen (factor 50) and beach towels supplied. Highly recommended for a stay in Bundeena. Maybe a blind on the door to minimise the light in the mornings.
- Tony (10/5): Perfect for a quiet get away, so close to Sydney. - The locaation so close to Jibbon beach is fabulous. We loved walking to and from the local club at night for dinner, too.
- Charlene (10/5): Great stay by the sea - Very easy to check-in / collect key. Everything was perfectly picked and choose for the guest to have an amazing experience. The view is amazing and the spot just by the beach is great! No AC so it can be quite hot in the summer
- Clare (9/5): Superb -
