• Mina (9/5): とても思い出深い滞在でした。また来ます！ - 管理人さんがとても親切でフレンドリーでした。アパートに常駐しているわけではなく近くに住んでいて、たまに会えるという感じでした。聞きたいことがあるときはWhatsAppでやりとりができるので困ることはありませんでした。お勧めのお店を丁寧に教えてくれたり、離れた場所のATMに行く際についでだからとオートバイに乗せて連れて行ってくれたり、本当にありがたかったです。 中心地からは離れますが、高級ホテルや文化的な施設があるエリアで落ち着いて滞在できます。周辺を散歩し屋台やローカルな食堂での食事を楽しみました。 お部屋はとても清潔で快適でした。2、3人でシェアしたら、本当にお得だと思います。 共用キッチンや共用ランドリースペースで他のゲストと交流できるかなと期待をしていましたが、ほとんど会うことはありませんでした。

• Katie (10/5): Excellent value central Hanoi accommodation - Stay dates: April 24–29, 2026 Room type booked: King room with balcony (Blue Room) In summary, this is an excellent-value homestay with a spacious, quiet room in a safe central location — minor wear and tricky first-time entrance are easily outweighed by the price and convenience. 1. Location & Accessibility Great central location. 8 minute walk to the lake, 15 minutes to the Old Quarter, and no more than 20-25 minutes’ walk anywhere around the lake. The entrance is down a narrow alley, so it was tricky to find the first time. Google Maps location is off, so instead look for the coffee shop 'VOU', look at the left side of the coffee shop and go down that alley, all the way to the end where the nail salon is (pictured). You enter through the nail salon. Owner sends WhatsApp instructions; keys are in a lockbox outside the nail salon. We didn't receive the message until we arrived but she replied immediately. Because the homestay is in an alley, nobody passes through here who has no business doing so it feels very safe. Also, at the bottom of the alley there is the American Embassy guards, which also makes it feel very safe. 2. Check-in / Check-out Experience Simple self-check-in and check-out using the lockbox. The owner checked in via WhatsApp during our stay to make sure everything was okay. 3. Room Quality & Comfort The Blue Room is spacious and airy with a small balcony. It is a bit tired in places but fine for the low price. The bed was comfortable. The room was very quiet, the AC worked well, and lighting was good. The balcony overlooks the back of the American Embassy. 4. Bathroom Clean with good lighting. Hot water and pressure were fine. Provided the usual Vietnamese toiletries (showel gel, shampoo and disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste). The shower floods the bathroom easily because the drain is on the opposite side of the bathroom to what the shower is (common in Vietnam). 5. Nothing

• Michele (10/5): Top in Hanoi - Ottima Homestay, pulita e molto vicina al centro. La camera é spaziosa (cosa non facile ad Hanoi) e luminosa. Nice Homestay, clean and really close to the city centre. The room is spacious (not easy in Hanoi) and bright. Sconsigliato per chi ha difficoltà di deambulazione in quanto la stanza si trova al 4 piano. Not recommended for those with walking difficulties as the room is located on the 4th floor.

Location was convenient walk to old quarter and opera house for transport connections. Located in a quiet alley above a salon it suited our needs for one night. Narrow stairway would be an issue for guests with bigger luggage. Little sound proofing between the room above so we were woken and kept awake by upstairs tenants scraping chairs on the floor above.

• Lee-Ann (8/5): - Die Unterkunft hat eine hervorragende Lage und die Gastgeberin ist unfassbar nett. Das Bett ist sehr gemütlich. Die Handtücher waren leider nicht gut getrocknet und haben etwas gerochen. Im Innenhof nebenan ist ein durchgängiges lautes Brummen zu hören, man konnte trotzdem gut schlafen.

Le logement est dans un petite impasse à l'écart de la circulation, ce qui est appréciable dans Hanoï. Bien situé, non loin du lac Hoan Tien et de la vieille ville.

• Lara (7/5): Good place for the money! - The lady who runs this place is really friendly and helpful. There is a washing Maschine and water fro free. The location is good, need 20-30 min by food to the center and to all the landmarks. Check In was really easy made and you can come any time. We stayed on the 5th floor with no elevator, wasn‘t a problem for us. The Bathroom is a little bit run down but also fine if you are not that picky.

The host is extremely friendly and helpful as well! The homestay is located above a salon but I had no problems with this as the staff were extremely friendly! I will definitely be staying here again.

• Raksha Kini (10/5): - The accommodation was within convenient walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake and had a lot of cafes, eateries, fruit vendors, etc. all around the corner to stop by. They have a fully functional kitchenette and a washing machine in the terrace that's accessible to the guests. The hostess, Dan was super helpful. She went out of the way to arrange some exceptional things for us which otherwise wouldn't have been available. She even suggested local markets and places which aren't popular amongst tourists but give you the real Vietnamese experience. Very thankful that we ended our trip with this experience, thanks to Dan! N/A

Yes there's a salon while going inside the building but trust me it doesn't create any problem. It feels awkward a bit but nothing inconvenient.

Many restaurants and convenience stores in neighborhood. Free washer on rooftop and there is a laundromat right down street(I like a dryer 😀). Yes, you walk through the salon, but ladies very nice. Can be a little noisy at night but that's Vietnam for you. I will definitely stay again if in the area! There are 6 floors(no elevator)so if you have trouble walking, don't book this place. Some travelers are inconsiderate and loud but that is everywhere you go, no fault to the place.

( zum kochen vielleicht etwas klein aber es ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und für Kaffee und Frühstück morgens perfekt ) das ganze Haus hat seinen Charme und das man zum einchecken durch ein Beauty Salon durch muss fand ich eher sympathisch und super unkompliziert. Self Check in ist das unkomplizierteste was es gibt und die Damen von dem Salon waren Mega nett. Ich verstehe manchmal diese komischen Bewertungen hier nicht. Ich weiß nicht was man für den Preis erwartet? Für mich die beste Unterkunft zentral!

Wspólna kuchnia wyposażona we wszystko co niezbędne do gotowania daje możliwość przygotowywania własnych posiłków a pralka na tarasie pozwala zadbać o czystość ubioru.

• Veronika (9/5): Отличное соотношение цены качества) Дружелюбный персонал. - Отличное расположение за такие деньги, хозяйка отеля очень милая и во всем помогает. Место уютное, чисто. На 6 этаже есть кухня и стиральная машина. Понравился балкончик, тихий квартал. Сам номер большой и чистый. Прибывать было приятное. Для нас было норм, но в данном отеле есть только Крутая лестница. В номере нет холодильника, а о том что есть кухня мы узнали не сразу. Муравьи в целом решились одним пшиком средства от них

The host explained all in detail « how to get the keys », Very quiet homestay In the bank area, the entrance is in the beauty salon. Of course you do manicure and pedicure and shoulder massage, the charming team will help you ! Regarding the Breakfast, very near the homestay you have the Café and Dessert. Very very clean and we got very good café. The homestay is 10 min walking to the lake. We recommend this homestay !!! 🤩 During our trip in Vietnam, we were used to get a small bottle of water. And we you no, especially after walking to the third floor 😞. We don’t deserve it ?
• Robert (10/5): Great stay and amazing host! - Great stay! The room was very comfortable — there's a fan and air conditioning, which is a big plus. What really helped during our trip was having access to a washing machine. Super useful! At first, I had some doubts about the entrance going through a beauty salon, but honestly, it didn’t bother us at all. If you’re unsure about it — don’t worry, it’s totally fine. :) The biggest highlight was the excellent communication with the host who replies instantly and does everything to make sure you’re well taken care of. Highly recommended!

• Anonymous (10/5): Has everything you need! - We are a couple and stayed here for a week. The location is good, away from the crowded old quarter. the area is cc 10 -15 min away from the Hoan Kiem lake which is a nice area to relax and walk around. We were shopping groceries in BRG mart which is 15 min walk away. We used the kitchen everyday. The kitchen is upstairs on the top floor, I think 5th floor. It has all the cooking utensils, a microwave, an induction plate, a rice cooker and a big fridge. We used it all the time as we are not used to Vietnamese food. Kitchen also has a water filter. Room was spacious for my standards, aircon looked new and was quiet. I think they just repainted all the rooms. Bed was comfortable not to hard not to soft. The shower has good pressure and hot water was always available. It has a work desk by the window which i really enjoyed. The internet was good, no complaints. For the short time we stayed here it became a home to us. The owner was very responsive and kind. Sometimes the ventilation from the adjacent building can "hum" a little, but its not really a problem unless you have the balcony door opened. I just mention it so there are no surprises.
• Helena (8/5): Comfy & excellent location - The property is in a great location, it’s a 10 minute walk to the old town and is down a nice quiet, safe side street. The lady who owns it is kind and has great communication. The bed is comfy and the shower is great. Highly recommended staying here if you’re in Hanoi. The home stay is very clean too! I got a £7 pedicure from the salon below which was ideal!

The lady who runs it is very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our last-minute reservation. Easy to walk to the old quarter with lots of coffee shops and amenities around. Great value for money. Nothing to dislike.

It was easy to communicate with the host over WhatsApp. I did find it quite amusing having to walk through the hair salon to get to the room, but could see how this would be awkward if staying here for an extended time or with lots of luggage :)

• Jeremy (10/5): A great place from which to start exploring Hanoi - This homestay is tucked up an alley right in the heart of Hanoi. This means that despite everything in the French district and the old quarter being really close to hand, the apartment is a refuge of peace and quiet (it also has one of the best cafés we sampled right next door to the alley entrance). Chan was wonderful, came out to make sure we got into the apartment wothout any problem and explained everything to us.

We visit Hanoi in cold times but the room was very warm :) Personal is kind, the check in is by yourself so we arrive at midnight and we didn't have problems. Nothing - All was good.

We even had a small balcony overlooking the narrow alley. The bathroom (we stayed in the blue room) could use a little make over, but it’s still definitely great value for the money!
• Kemalettin (8/5): Very good - We liked the location of the place... We requested an early reservation from the owner. We promised to pay an extra fee for this. Since there were no available rooms, our request was not fulfilled. So we got a guarantee that we could at least leave our backpacks. We were going to leave our bags early and walk around the city until noon. Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, we could not reach him. We walked around like porters with our bags many times and when we looked back, we saw that the hostel door was locked. The communication struggle that started with him at 7 in the morning finally happened at 11:30 in the afternoon. Fortunately, we entered our room around 12:00 without waiting for the check-in time of 14:00. He said he was very sorry. He apologized. Okay, we accepted that... But I see it as my duty to share this here because I think others should be aware of it.
