Guest Reviews
- Diana (8/5): Ein erholsamer schöner Aufenthalt. - Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Wir haben für 3 Personen vegan vorbestellt. Die Küche hat alles gegeben. Wirklich top.

- Matt (10/5): Exceptional experience in exceptional place. - I really appreciated the whole establishments. Personel very friendly and professional, food amazing including scrumptious breakfast. Of course the spa is outstanding with an exceptional view on the lake. Asian kitchen is amazing and even cinema in the hotel. Definitely will be back. Nothing.

- NAN (9/5): - Breakfast is in waldhotel.
Il is very délicieux.
- Justyna (10/5): - Absolutnie wszystko !!

- Veronique (10/5): Aanrader - Zeer mooi hotel, mooie locatie. Ontbijt was heel goed en restaurant spices is een aanrader.
- Kristiina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marjut (2/5): Great views and place, - Breakfast and the location were great. The staff in the Verdana restaurant (the two women, supergreat)! Many issues during our stay:
After a long journey, we arrived at the hotel only to be told that our child was not allowed in the room we had originally booked — despite the fact that we had requested a baby bed in advance and the hotel had confirmed it would be no problem. We were forced to upgrade the room. We had been told this would cost €50, which we were fine with, but upon arrival the upgrade was suddenly €300 — with no option to cancel the reservation.
We agreed to the expensive upgrade and asked if the spa was included. We were told yes — great! But once we got there, we were informed that children are only allowed in the spa between 17:00–18:00 (just one hour). We adjusted our schedule and made it, though a bit late, as we had to wait for confirmation from housekeeping. After swimming, we wanted to warm up in the sauna, but the children were not allowed in. Seriously?
Despite having requested the baby bed in advance and mentioning our upgrade, we still had to ask for the bed again from reception — not very organized.
In the room, the glasses had lipstick marks from a previous guest, and there were some small silverfish. At that point, I didn’t feel like contacting housekeeping again, even though they had been very kind and helpful earlier.
Before our stay, we filled out the hotel's pre-arrival form, including details about our preferences and mentioned that we were coming to celebrate a special birthday (a milestone one). None of these details were acknowledged — not the baby bed, not the birthday. At breakfast, we even saw another table receive a cake with candles, which looked lovely and memorable — it just made our experience feel even more overlooked.
- Marya (9/5): Great room, inconvenient & slow check-in - Great comfortable and charming rooms Slow and inconvenient check-in process in a distant building; breakfast served in a separate distant building.
- Aydonat (3/5): Do not forget to call the hotel before you arrive for every detail !! - The property and the rooms were ok. I recently stayed at the Bürgenstock Hotel, a place I had dreamed of visiting for years. The hotel is undeniably luxurious and located in a truly special spot with breathtaking views of the lake. However, our stay on June 4th was deeply disappointing due to a private event that took over most of the hotel.
Many areas of the hotel, including the main lobby – which I consider the heart of any hotel – were completely closed off to regular guests. We were not even allowed to have a simple drink at the lobby bar in the evening. Out of the 8 restaurants in the hotel, 6 were either closed or fully booked due to the event. We were forced to eat at a restaurant called “Taverne,” with a very limited and uninspiring menu.
All the main areas with the iconic lake views were reserved exclusively for the private organization. Even the main breakfast hall in the main building was unavailable to us. It felt as if we were not truly guests at the hotel, but merely sidelined bystanders.
Had we been informed in advance about such a major event, we would never have made this booking — especially considering the significant budget we allocated for what was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime stay.
Sadly, my wife and I could not experience any of the beautiful spots we had dreamed of from photos. I truly hope the hotel management will consider inviting us back to make up for this deeply disappointing experience.
For anyone considering a stay here: Please call the hotel directly before booking and make sure no private events will interfere with your stay. I’m incredibly disappointed. 🥲
- Serhan (4/5): Excellent complex but unfortunately lack of management - The view was excellent. All the facilities were closed because of a private event. Even the hotel lobby was closed which i never seen this before. Two bodyguards were standing front of the lobby! Rejecting hotel guests. All the restaurants were closed. The hotel located top of the mountain so there were no choice. They should inform us during the reservation.
- Vincent (10/5): Heaven on earth ! - Perfection! All is perfect, the location, the place, the hotel, the restaurants, the view and most of it the staff. Everyone is kind, professional and super helpful. Food is great, SPA is awesome and the view is pefect. Incredible experience.
- Haren (8/5): Very good -
- Preston (10/5): Exceptional - Overall. Excellent Nothing.
- Katia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous!💜
- Lyzette (10/5): Excellent - Very clean and upscale Difficult to reach
- Federico (7/5): Good -
- Prashant (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Marije (8/5): Gooddddd - Okay first up, the resort was amazing. The room was cool too but something’s where amazing and others not so. With this hotel you got breakfast with it the breakfast was in the waldhotel and I can surely say that it was amazing!!!
With the hotel you also got a Bürgenstock ticket to go with the “gondola” Down to the lake and then the boat across the lake to Lucerne. It was amazing, with the boat you also got a Private First Class lounge becomes you stayed in the burgenstock hotel.
The hotel had some nice accessories like slippers and really nice smelling soaps, form aqua di Parma. And some other accessories. The things I didnt like about the taverne hotel was, there is no airco in the room or in the hallways of the building. So on hot days I would absolutely not wanna stay in this particular hotel. You are forced to keep the windows open during the night cause otherwise it just gets tooo hot. On the windows there are stickers that bugs get inside if you keep the windows open, understandable.
On the bed there where a lot of brown hairs witch the cleaners can not have missed. We both have blond hair and thought it was a bit gross.
When I laid in bed I saw a dirty stain on the floor. I picked up my shoe and touched the stain and it almost came right off, Litte gross I thought.
The next day we went on a hike after the hike we got back to our room and we saw a couple of cleaners in the hallway. Cleaning the rest of the building. We went in the room and just sad on the bed. Suddenly we see the door opening WITHOUT any knock on the door. It were the cleaners. We thought that it was REALLY weard cleaners just come in and don’t knock. We had the room till 12:00pm so it wasn’t that we had already checked out.
- Peter (10/5): Wonderland - Excellent location, great facilities
- Rakesh (3/5): Poor -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jodi (10/5): It was fantastic, we would love to stay here again! - We were upgraded to a different part of the hotel, it was beautiful! The property is magnificent! We enjoyed the funicular and boat ride into Lucerne, that is a great option to have at the property. It was difficult to get reservations at some of the restaurants. However, we enjoyed where we were able to eat!
- Kavita (8/5): Worth a visit! - Beautiful hotel and location. Exceptional lake and Alpine views and walks. Great experience, worth a visit!
Spices restaurant was amazing! Staff, food and ambiance all memorable. Breakfast is great too!
Cigar lounge, Cinema room and bar lounge with pianist, all fantastic. Thankyou! Just observations, does not take away the amazing experience!
Due to the location, it can command higher prices. Access to the spa/gym/mountain lift, are all extras,
NOTE: Taverne rooms have no air conditioning, which in the Summer can be a problem even though housekeeping kindly provided us with fan.
- Gregory (10/5): First class professional service combined with quality food selections - Breakfast buffet included fresh and healthy selections with an omelette station, juicing options, and fresh baked pastries. Positive and attentive staff always there to fulfill any requests. The atmosphere was relaxed with spectacular valley views. Nothing
