Jeanine (2/5): DON’T rent a home managed by PLUS VACATION HOMES ! - Location was good for our day trips. Home has the potential to be a nice rental if issues and customer concerns are addressed. Unfortunately it is not well run. We have had good experiences with booking.com. They validated our concerns (below) and readily offered to assist, by contacting PLUS VACATION HOMES as well. -One Bedroom was LOCKED from the INSIDE and INACCESSIBLE! As a family of 6, we needed all 3 bedrooms and all beds. We called PLUS VACATION HOMES.and left messages for help. WE NEVER GOT A RESPONSE or ASSISTANCE! We had a LOCKED, INACCESSIBLE 3rd BEDROOM!! - Information in their ad was MISLEADING / ERRONEOUS, adding significant cost to our rental. The ad states that the pool is “free” and “heated.” See ad and amenities. This is untrue. There is $40 per day charge to heat the pool, adding an additional $272 (incl tax) to our 6-night stay, This was not mentioned ANYWHERE in the ad. We were told about this additional cost well after the cancellation grace period, so we succumbed to what we considered "bait and switch" We politely asked where this cost was stated in their ad. The response from PLUS VACATION HOMES was curt:: “Pool is NOT free.” We were told that the word “free” next to the word pool within their ad, means that ACCESS to the pool is free. Not the heat. Huh? Access to the pool is obviously free. The pool is in the backyard of the house! - The ad. also states that the check-out time is 11:00 am, but days before check-in, PLUS VACATION HOMES sent at least 4 emails stating a 10:00 check-out time and a $75 FEE for a late check-out. Also fees for not bagging the trash, fees for not throwing charcoal from the (free) grill, daily fee for use of propane grill, etc Multiple pages of minutia! and fees. When we asked about the check-out time discrepancy, they did NOT answer the question. In one email we were told to "Stop HARASSING THEM" ?! We will NEVER rent a home managed by PLUS VACATION HOMES. We thought we were renting directly from an owner who would provide accurate information and be accessible and responsive. Not a mega management company, devoid of respect for its’ customers, or the owners of the homes they represent. They are NON-RESPONSIVE and DISMISSIVE of of all concerns – big and little.
