Guest Reviews
- Neil (9/5): - The apartment is on busy Northbourne Av but is quiet with the windows closed. Very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It backs on to the vibrant Braddon entertainment district with many options for food and drinks - we loved it. We got a bit lost during check in with the wrong building in the instructions and then confusion in the carport as there are lifts to two buildings and they are not marked. Great support from Sarah got us there in the end.
- Cheryl (10/5): Great location and facilities. - Easy to locate. Parking a challenge to collect keys and parking was metered for a quick pick up.
- Judi (10/5): Fantastic place to stay. Good communication and instructions for stay. Great location - near lots of restaurants - Excellent location, very clean and has everything you need for a great stay. They have thought about everything including dishwashing and laundry detergents. Only 1 access card
- Alex (8/5): -
- Hannah (6/5): It was OK but not somewhere I would return. Not best value for money nor the most comfortable. - Great location, ac unit in apartment. Appliances were really cheap. The tv was really old and outdated, even the apple tv was a first gen unit so you couldnt add any apps to the tv to watch streaming. Kitchen and bathroom weren’t clean when we first arrived. Had to hand wash a lot of pans and put all the kitchen utensils through the wash to get off curry that was caked on every plate?! Not to mention scrape the stove top for food that was caked on. All the Furniture was uncomfortable, you could hear the upstairs neighbours stomp around, the living room windows wouldnt close all the way, place was very dusty. The bed was verrryyy small and the blankets they had were really cheap and didnt breathe at all - we overheated a lot at night even when it was cold out. Parking garage was annoying and confusing, if you have a big ute your car cannot open the doors to get out so you have to wait for someone to help you out. Overall it wasnt the best value for money. A lot of my points have been mentioned in previous reviews so not a lot has been done to update/fix the issues in the unit to make the stay for comfortable for guests.
- Wendy (2/5): Very poor - Easy walk to city centre. Difficult to get key from lockbox where parking is difficult. Gates shut too quickly entering car park. Weak WiFi . Rubbish still in bathroom bin. Tumble dryer filter full. Small double bed. No coffee machine. Hassle to leave apartment as had to park and take keys back.
- Kahee (7/5): Good - The place was nice The staff did not care as soon as we checked out. They were following up with my request.
- Hsiao (8/5): Very good - The unit itself is very clean and good location.
It has all the basic home appliances that we need for the week. Car park was easy. Collecting keys from a different location with an address but not a real premise was confusing.
Not being informed on which building and unit prior arrival was also a hassle.
- Michael (10/5): Excellent accommodation - It’s excellent Nothing wrong
- Aditya (7/5): Great property; great host - infrastructure needs an upgrade! - Location was great - close to lots of restaurants and some shops too.
Apartment was very spacious with a separate room with a study desk and office chair.
Host was easy to talk to and when we had a small cleaning issue, she had it resolved quickly the next morning.
Check-in and check-out instructions could not have been clearer - there were photos and clear directions for everything.
Plenty of pillows, blankets and spare bed sheets were provided.
Parking in the basement was very close to lifts, which was handy. Air con kept turning off automatically every couple of hours. Woke up sweating the first couple of nights until I figured out how to turn off the timer. This should not be a thing in a residential apartment.
WiFi was averaging at 5 Mbps, which is archaic and simply unusable - had to hotspot for most things.
1 light in the living room and 1 light in the bedroom were flickering, which was just plain annoying.
1 window in the living room doesn't close properly, so air con has to work harder and it was generally louder in the living room.
No option to use Netflix using Apple TV and no option to cast to the TV either, as the TV was too old.
Dining table was annoying to comfortably get your legs under.
Not enough toilet paper and toiletries for duration of stay.
- Deborah (7/5): Will stay somewhere I don’t have to jump so many hoops to get in. - Good location and quiet apartment The check in and check out procedure- for this reason I won’t stay there again. Check in instructions were incorrect results in uneccessary and unwelcome run around after a long day working. Also check out annoying as owners insist keys left in apartment. They retain $500 for 5 days after you leave too….
- Hye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernie (8/5): Very good - Layout of the unit is excellent
Great location for restaurants, sightseeing and shopping Double bed, for the money should be Queen or King
Blinds for the living area 👍
Blinds for the bedroom 👎
Needs additional "black out" Blinds
It is nice to be able to sleep in occasionally when on holidays
Backing cushions on the lounge require replacing, no support when sitting down
Windows need double glazing
Traffic noise quite loud
- Justin (10/5): Weekend in Canberra - Great location, very clean and relaxing layout. Fold-out bed was bigger than expected. Great for a weekend but with the laundry and cooking facilities it would also be comfortable for a longer stay.
- Nicholas (8/5): It is a nice place, good value for money. - It was in the heart of the city, and had all appliances needed! The place needs to be aired out more often otherwise the smell from previous tenants lingers. Small things like patch work unfinished over the walls, just not pleasant to look at.
- Rupesh (9/5): Superb -
- Sherene (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean and lovely unit. Great location and easy to find.
The sofa couch was really comfortable for sleeping on, unlike so many we have been on before!
- Joy (10/5): the property is good. but the management is bad. I will try to stay away from booking this - the property is good. but the management is bad It was very hassle to complete the pre booking process. the links did not work
I find the manager of city stayz rude when I locked myself out - so I really don't want to stay in one of their properties.
- Aida (10/5): Great location - Clean No defaults
- Lorna (10/5): Very pleased with our accommodation. Thank you. - Comfortable and very well equipped in a great location, convenient to everything. It suited our needs perfectly for a first visit to Canberra. Responsive hosts, eager to please. Will recommend to family and friends. Collection of keys from a remote location was tricky as we had to make the taxi wait. He arrived at the location from the opposite direction from the map provided so orienting ourselves and finding the lock box took time.
- Gregory (10/5): Locaation very close to city centrer - Location was very good. everything was O.K
- Wendy (7/5): Lovely and convenient apartment that was close to everything - Location was great for getting around The car garage would never open for our car irrespective of where we were on the line
There were no bowls eg to make salads
Very difficult after a long drive to get the keys - google maps took us to completely incorrect address
- Lewis (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Not far from anything . Walking distance If you are 6ft or over the bed would be too short and your feet would touch the end board
- Alex (7/5): Good - Good facilities, convenient location & good and fair price, comfortable living space I didn’t like how the keys were off site in a sketchy alleyway in a tiny little shack, definitely needs to be changed
- Kim (9/5): Lovely appartment - Great location The noise of the traffic
- Caitlin (9/5): Superb - Great location Parking was a bit tricky with the fast gate and the tight space, but that's being picky. It was a great place to stay
- Sue (7/5): Good -
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Liam (8/5): Great and will be back! - Great, clean place in a great location! The bedding was average, felt cheap and was not very comfortable
- Fletcher (9/5): Great spot to soak up the food and drink Center of Canberra - Great location, very convenient and secure parking on site Would recommend a small bed in the second room rather than the main area.
- David (7/5): We liked that we could access the city and surrounds easily. We had a good time. - Location , shower and kitchen Small bed , poor aircon, was only given a single door card, had to go to seperate location to collect card / keys. Info said to collect keys when in fact it was a card, but there where keys in the box.
- Tania (9/5): Superb -
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (8/5): Very good - Instructions weren’t correct to enter the property but they were responsive when I called. Wifi wasn’t great which made working hard
- Louise (8/5): Lovely clean modern apartment in a great location - warmth, good quality appliances, cleanliness, location, modern only double bed, this apartment would have been 10/10 but small bed was uncomfortable towards end of stay
- Tania (8/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (9/5): Great apartment with secure parking - This is a well appointed apartment that is a short walk to local eateries. The bed was comfortable and the unit was clean and tidy.
- Patrick (9/5): A great apartment in which to enjoy all that Canberra has to offer. - Great location
Clean, comfortable, spacious and bright apartment
We enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony.
- Paddison (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (10/5): very comfortable, highly recommend. - position was so convenient, light rail right outside your door. had everything you could possibly need for a Canberra stay.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reni (8/5): clean, spacious, close to tram stop. - clean & close to tram stop. -
