• Keri (10/5): Great stay. Would stay there again. - The location was excellent. It was close to everything and easy to access. The unit was clean and very comfortable. I quite often have problems sleeping the first few nights staying somewhere new, but I had no problems sleeping at this property - the bed was comfortable and I felt safe staying there. Due to dietary restrictions I need to stay somewhere that I can cook my own foods, and the unit provided these facilities. The hosts are very lovely and friendly and want to ensure you have a great stay.

• Thomas (8/5): Everything with “zing” - Tasteful & elegant home w/ rooms and shared spaces with pool and wonderful dog. Real concern about guest food intolerances, and a breakfast that can be savored, with homemade sourdough bread, a croissant, specialty coffees, yogurt, fresh fruit, müsli, etc, all served with real silver (much of it antique). It appears this location is a haven for traveling Germans who appreciate the structure, elegance, and cleanliness. The NZ-born host speaks (from experience) German & Spanish. At least a two-night stay is recommended to enjoy the multi-faceted options in the home & nearby. About 30 minutes (even in near-rush-hour) to the airport These are *not* dislikes, just things for other Americans to be aware of. This is more a BnB than anything else, you share space with the family and other guests, with concomitant pluses and minuses. The strict quiet hours only apply to the house, not to the busy street right next to the house. During the summer, splurging for the a/c room is probably a must: even the ceiling fans don’t remove the humidity. Shared refrigerator for guests is college-dorm sized (but ask Mark for space in his gourmet kitchen). Staying in the home itself is contra-indicated if you have large suitcases and need single-floor space. Overcommunication is better than “winging it”

• Graeme (9/5): It was my 2nd stay and there will be a third! - The breakfast fruit salad was awesome, don't miss it! The room was comfy with it's own ensuite. Despite being mid-summer the ceiling fan did a great job. You're staying in a family home with a shared lounge and dining etc and the guys make you feel welcome and share their stories. Well I thought I would miss not having a TV in my room as I am a heavy TV watcher, but 5 nights without a TV was actually pretty cool and sitting around the pool area or lounge chatting to the guys was great. There is one in the lounge of course but it was used more for relaxing background music rather than listening to Harvey Norman ads every 5 minutes.

Would have been nice to have access to biscuits/ small snacks for after hours, some milk in fridge for tea / coffee, a tea towel to dry spills / dishes if needed.. and a small fridge, jug, cup, glass, television in the room would have been nice (even if volume had to be kept low) for those who just wish to relax in their rooms, rather than engage.. travelling can be exhausting. Beautifully decorated space but it felt like the owners were trying to save every penny.

It well exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, friendliness and taken care of individual requests. The bed was so comfortable, I instantly felt home and slept so well. I stayed in the studio flat and it is newly decorated and furnished intuitively. I can highly recommend the area, it's close to the beach, to supermarkets and it's a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. The pool was a wonderful addition. thank you for a wonderful stay!

If you've heard of underpromising & overdeliverering you can experience that here! The location was convenient to pretty much everything and easy to get to. The area is clean and, whilst it's not in the centre of the main town of Redcliffe there are facilities in Margate centre about 500 metres away, and the beach / bay front is a similar distance. didn't like having to remove my shoes inside - but slip-ons are provided.

The room was very comfortable. Warm, humid nights made me wish the room had an A/C unit, but there was plenty of airflow to get by and earplugs were available to use to block out the traffic noise.

Bed was comfy, bathroom was beautiful, breakfast was yummo and the hosts were wonderful. I am saving the best bit till last... THE POOL, so so good to cool down after a long hot walk around town. Don't be fooled by the outside. It looks a bit scary, but when u walk through the gate its just great.

• Lesley (10/5): Like staying at a good friends house - We stayed here for one night and it was like staying with friends. The guys have renovated a property and are using some rooms as a b&b. We had a king room with ensuite. Breakfast included, was such a lovely breakfast - fresh fruit salad, muesli, croissants, bread, cheese - the list goes on. A lovely pot of tea and great coffee. We had breakfast with Martin our host and another lovely couple that were staying. We didn’t use the pool but other guests were saying it was great and was a special salt type pool not full of chlorine. It’s sort of like someone’s house not a standard type hotel which may put some people off if they are not social but we love meeting people and thought it was wonderful so give it a chance! We still had a key to lock the room, come and go from the property as we pleased etc. It’s very close to Redcliff for restaurants, bars, markets etc. Nothing

Breakfast was great. Our host was kind and friendly. We unfortunately couldn't park off street, as the spots were taken. Other than that, it was all good.
