- Anna (9/5): Great family base to explore Usedom - Apartment is a good size, light, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and very comfortable as a base for family holidays on Usedom. There is enough space for every family member to enjoy some privacy and also for all to eat or watch TV together. The owners live next door and are readily available for any questions and requests. They also rent out bikes and apparently provide laundry service at a small fee - we only found the info about the laundry stuck in the drawer somewhere after we used the laundromat in the area. For check in and keys pick up you need to go to the office in Bansin (the apt is rented via a company), a short drive away from Heringsdorf. There is nowhere to park there, but otherwise it was a quick and easy process. As we rented in the high season, they specifically asked to pick up the keys AFTER 5 pm. Then at 5:30 pm as we were approaching the office we got a call checking if we were coming)))) This is by no means a major complaint, just an annoyance… Communications were a bit confusing: I got an overwhelming amount of emails about the check in process and especially about our UsedomCards - there were literally over 20 emails arriving into my inbox over two days! But there was zero communication about the check out. So we assumed we were just to leave the keys in the apartment as we leave. We left at 10 am as instructed by Booking.com info. But 2 hours after our departure we got a phone call from the office saying they’re expecting the keys to be delivered back to Bansin!
