Guest Reviews
- Stephanie (10/5): - Super Lage. Prima Ausstattung. Sehr geräumig.
- Carl (9/5): A great place to stay with our family and dog. - Great location in old city, close to metro and parking, but quiet at night. The main room is airy and spacious, the kitchen well appointed, the bed comfortable. The host is very communicative and responsive.
- Josefa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful space and accommodating hosts.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Location and overall style was excellent There was nothing that we didn’t like about the property
- Mark (10/5): A true Montreal experience - Huge space. Super Montreal vibe. Clean. Warm. Was a home not a small condo room. Old Montreal vibe with brick wall massive ceilings and huge floor/ceiling windows overlooking Notre Dame st. Extra sunny in the living spaces and private and quiet in the bedroom which was at the back. Location is perfect for walking in Old Montreal and close to the metro for other parts of the city. Tons of storage. Walk in closet. Washer/dryer. Fully equipped kitchen. Big dining table. Do not hesitate to book this for the place itself and the area. The only consideration is there is no elevator and parking is at the corner outside lot (no connection to this rental) and about 30$/night. Don't let 2 slights of stairs stop you, don't miss this place. zero
- Adrianna (9/5): Superb - Location was fantastic, right in the heart of old Montreal - the photos don't really do the apartment justice. Laurie was easy to communicate with and the check-in/out was a breeze. The luggage storage on our last day was brilliant, we were able to enjoy the day without worrying about carrying our bags. Thanks - would definitely stay again!
- John (7/5): Great apartment in many ways, but Seniors Beware! - Great location. Apartment was perfectly equipped, great street views out of stunning windows, Maybe just a warning for for seniors - especially with a knee issue with heavy suitcases, but almost 50 steep dark stairs n no elevator had us frightened to go up n down. We didn’t recall anything about this in any of the descriptions.
The bathtub is great old tub n nice shower, but very high to step in or out, with no railings or any hand grips anywhere. The tub was beautiful n clean as a whistle but extremely slippery with no bath mat to help us.
I suggest noting these in your descriptions, such as “Attention Seniors” We had three nights there n it was quite troubling to say the least.
One other significant problem was that the fold out bed completely blocked both of us in the BR when opened for sleep. Find a better place for it.
- Abercrombie (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location
- Arlene (8/5): A delightful get away. - Location was excellent, stairs were a chore. Going up for me, going down for my husband, We are seniors. TV options were NA. would have liked to be able to watch a movie on Prime
- Nataliya (9/5): Excellent stay. - Location of the apartment is awesome to explore Montreal. Though, it’s on the main tourist street, it is very quiet in the bedroom. The apartment very well equipped for all the necessities for a long stay. Permanent air conditioning unit in the main area would make it more pleasant experience. The present one is way too noisy. Keep in mind as well that it is a beautiful old building (no elevator) is no elevator, so it could be a little difficult for people with mobility problems to stay there, as well as with lots of luggage as in our case.
- Fatma (6/5): Nicely located and well equipped, but difficult to access and stay comfortably. - I liked its location as it was two blocks from the Montreal Palais du Congres where the conference took place. In addition, the place was clean and well equipped. Yet there were also challenges with the apartment. The owners did not include in their advertising the information that the unit was on the third floor of an old building with NO ELEVATOR. There are literally 52 steps you have to go up to access the apartment. In the US, you have to declare such information because you can otherwise be sued for not adhering to the Disability Act. Had I known that was the case, I would not have booked the place.
Also, the apartment has been built out of space most of which that was not initially an apartment, so it is rectangular with the back where the bedroom is located facing a dark space with other apartments very close to this one. The owners keep the bedroom shades down to cover this dark space so there is not natural light in the bedroom. Even worse, however, is the fact that there is no air circulation in the apartment so they have A/C units in the back and front, including a stand alone one in the living room that is precariously connected to the window and makes a lot of noise when run constantly. I do have photographs of the stairs and A/C unit if you want to see them.
- Shadab (8/5): Good value for money - Location was amazing, most of the tourist spots are walking distance. Apartment was very clean and cozy, nice space for 4. The bedroom air condition didnt work. There was a cooler in the hall which kept the apartment cool but bedroom was warm which is located at the back side of the apartment. There is no elevator in the building and you have to walk 50 floght of stairs. There is no building parking so you either park on the street or in a parking building. I did in a patking building behind the unit and it costed me $48 for 2 nights.
- Kris (8/5): Very good -
