Guest Reviews
- Maree (8/5): Great location for a family get together - The location was fantastic - walking distance to beach, local pub. The house was spacious - perfect for three generations with the downstairs unit (double bed, bathroom, sitting area and kitchenette) being self contained. We also loved the responsiveness of the manager when we called with a complaint about the cleanliness on arrival - she rectified the problem with grace and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The front verandah was spacious and a great place to gather as a family. Not really a "don't like" but we were surprised that the indoor furniture (lounge room) was actually an outdoor setting. However I guess this makes sense as they are easier to maintain and more robust. We spent so little time inside it made no difference.

- Catherine (8/5): Overall, we had a brilliant stay, perfect for families, just minor maintenance required. - Location is perfect for an easy walk to the beach and to the straddie hotel. Had everything at the house we needed. Some of the screens had large holes in them and kept us from opening up windows because of mozzies at night. One screen in the lounge room was falling out of its track and wouldn’t slide to open the window. The front fenced area for dogs is completely overgrown as are the steps next to the driveway. The doors upstairs and downstairs were both tricky to lock/unlock with the keys.
- Paul (9/5): Great location, house was well appointed and spacious. -
- Taryn (8/5): Perfect house and location for large groups and dogs and to be able to walk to the beach, pub and point lookout shops - Great central location to walk to the beach and point lookout shops. Awesome for a large group or family and dogs. Some kitchen appliances (ie the kettle downstairs wasn’t working) and could use a few more warm blankets. Other than that it had everything we needed.
- Izaac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Woodward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (7/5): Good - Location is fabulous, the lounge and verhandah are generous and comfortable. Hi if you could please let the owner know the back bedroom has a bad smell that no amount of airing seemed to get rid of - a bit like smelly shoes.
- Fiona (9/5): Great to have the dogs with our big family group- lots of room and a great location. - The position was great. Very central to everything. A little tired, and very expensive.
- Dean (8/5): Very good -
- Pieter (9/5): My high school reunion of 50 year olds was unforgettable thanks to our stay here. - Great value for money, good location, decent facilities. Pictures looked a little more modern than reality, but it met up to expectations.
- Kenneth (8/5): Overall it was a good stay with my family. We had everything we needed. - Good location. Surrounded by trees, it has a nice view from the deck. I like how they use a long piece of trunk to support the deck outside. It feels very natural. Unfortunately I saw a cockroach in a bedroom. There’s a big slope to climb/drive up to the property which can be dangerous on rainy days.
- Emily (5/5): Nice big house & Verandah but felt very unclean. - Lovely big deck, enough beds for us all, good yard for the dogs and a great location in Straddy. There was quite few cockroaches, mouse poo under a pillow, sand in one of the beds and we had to re-wash all of the crockery, cutlery and cups as there was visible dried food on most of them. The dishwasher didn’t work and The kitchen appliances also needed a wipe down due to grease and dust before they were clean enough to use. The smoke alarm also went off for no reason at 1am. All things that aren’t the end of the world but for so much money it’s very disappointing. The host was notified and they apologised.
- Karina (8/5): Very good -
