- Ph (1/5): Very different than advertised - We ended up in this location because another one contracted by booking.com announced at the morning of arrival that check in was not possible before 9.30 pm. As we had an early flight the following day, we had to cancel and look for something else. The second booking.com contract for that day confirmed but then cancelled our reservation while we were in the taxi approaching it. So we found this one and booked for two reasons: it looked decent and it was advertised as being close to the airport. What did we like? The hosts saved us from beings stranded after 2 boooking.com contracts were impossible for us to stay that day. When we got closer to the location, the hosts did not seem to remember which street number their property was on. They solved it by sending us photographs via WhatsApp. Were we lucky? Read on. The location we stayed in has NOTHING to do with what was advertised except for one duvet with the same pattern as in the advertised place. Let’s start with the negligible things that some travelers critisise, like advertised items that are missing. There is no microwave, no oven, certainly no minibar. What mattered more to us: the “20 min del aeropuerto de ezeiza” is more like 40 minutes which means the “8km” distance from the airport are 16+. This is serious false advertising.
The cupboards do not slide open but if you use some pressure and ingenuity, you will be able to find a workaround. What you get is seeing things you’d wish to be able to forget.
Most plugs do not have electricity, while there is an abundance of holes in the walls that boast blank wires, making you worry to get electrocuted while looking for the seatless toilet in the dark of the night.
The place is a health hazard in many ways, there is black mold lurking at just about every corner and far in between.
Walking barefoot is not for the faint hearted, You will need good soap and some extra time to clean your drty feet.
Insects coming in? The entrance door leaves a crack on the floor so wide that a good sized rodent family could enter at any time in rows, celebrating a parade.
The location, being advertised as “excellent,” looks as if it could serve as the backdrop of a crime scene in a movie.
