Guest Reviews
- LEE (1/5): 최악의 숙소 - 전혀 없었음 숙소도 개더럽고, 위치 쓰레기고 호스트 대응도 개역겨움
- Adrien (6/5): - La proximité La propreté, l’état du lit (sommier cassé)
Casserole très sale
- Jo (9/5): - Location
- Giorgio (9/5): -
- Yusei (2/5): 疲れが取れない - ベッドがふわふわだった 布団にシミが付いていた、トイレの便座がズレていた、ドライヤーの風が弱い、布団が臭かった
- Chin Bahadur (7/5): -
- Loren (8/5): Good for a short stay, comfortable bed - Central location, clean aesthetic space, easy self check in. Noisy at night- close to nightlife
- Oscar (10/5): -
- Bethany (7/5): Small studio flat with great location, lacking kitchen utensils. - Great location, about 10 mins walk to several stations for exploring Tokyo, loads to see in immediate area i.e. shinjuku sights, sumo show, restaurants, shopping. Washing machine worked. Small studio flat but still fairly comfortable, just a bit cramped. Unfortunately not enough kitchen utensils to make many things, only one pot, only one mug, one hot plate. No printed manual in apartment, meant to be sent digital one. No bin either that we could find.

- Kristielyn (9/5): Overall, great place, great location, great for the price -

- Susy (10/5): Good location, easy to move around - Location Self check in
- Amy (1/5): Misleading advertising. Should not be advertised for 3 people, it’s even right for two people. Bathroom bigger than enti - Location and bathroom. That’s it So small, no room to keep bags. Bags don’t even fit through the gap between the sofa and the wall. All the bedding was dirty. No bin. The bedding provided for the “third bed” (sofa) was insufficient - no undersheet. Expecting us to just lay straight in contact with a sofa that I bet has never been cleaned. It’s also not even a sofa bed it’s just a sofa and is tiny. The place felt dirty and dusty and only heating provided is a tiny heater that seems like it would set the place on fire. No blinds on the window above the bed.
- Rickman (7/5): Overall a good stay. - This was the most comfortable bed of our trip and the most relaxing shower. The location is great… very accessible to shops, transport and food. There’s just a few little things to note here… there are actually 2 other hotels in the area called duo scarla and this one doesn’t have that name on the building so it can be confusing if google maps is bouncing around. Also, the owner just assumes you’re coming from the airport in the directions given. The communication here was not as clear as other places we stayed. I had to message to find out the WiFi password. Also, there’s a lack of little touches like a bath mat or hand towel. There’s tea bags provided but only one mug so you take turns to use it. There’s was 3 of us but only 2 plates/forks etc. There’s 2 fruit shops downstairs but no sharp knife to cut the fruit if you buy it. Maybe im being picky but all of the other places we stayed in Japan had these things as standard.
- Mohammed (7/5): Overall good value and clear instructions. Would recommend for 2 adults and a child but not for 3 adults. - Was reasonably priced and easy to find. Instructions were clear The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and tricky for someone to sleep on
- Balin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cool (8/5): Overall it was great! - It was not too far from the train station. Lots of places to eat around the area! The curtains weren’t dark enough and it was very bright at night
- Daneen (8/5): It was very comfortable and a great location to get to other places - The bed was great and the location was perfect. You can get to the station very easy and have very good options for food! There were no bins in the apartment.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Fern (10/5): Really great stay, good value for money - Really great location and helpful host. Much more spacious than APA hotel or similar hotels in the area for the same price. Bathroom was also more spacious and the washing machine + drier was an unexpected perk.
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - The room is spacious and a very good location. Near convenience stores train station and donki. I love the bath tub woth jacuzzi function. You can use the dishes but you just have to wash them again. I think we need more kitchen utensils like rice cooker but overall we had a great stay
- Chelsea (9/5): Good and convenient place to stay - Good location, washing machine and drying rack available. Spacious room when compared to the usual small Tokyo accomodations. Fridge and hot plate available. No utensils or pans to cook with.
- Hannie (8/5): Overall is just fine - Great location The bidet is not working properly
- Signe (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location compared to the price! Check in and check out was easy and the rooms were really nice with a traditional Japanese bathroom :) Nothing
- Christian (8/5): Very good -
- Zlata (7/5): It is acceptable for a short stay - The location is good for sightseeing, many shops around It wasn’t clean, the sofa bed is uncomfortable, there were no kitchen utensils (cups, plates, chopsticks, etc.)
- Siti (9/5): Superb -
- Ching (5/5): Passable - Near a train station Noisy with sirens every night, door lock was difficult to open, not well cleaned generally
- Sonia (3/5): very disappointed to pay for 3 nights but only get 2 based on inaccurate communication of key access - After 2 days of travel we arrived in Tokyo at 2am, walked with our suitcases from train station & eventually found the apartment complex. We followed instructions & photos sent through the Booking.com messages & made every attempt to open the lock box in order to access our apartment. My 2 kids & I spent close to 2hours in freezing weather (-5 degrees) trying everything possible to get into our accommodation. We used a translate app to ask anyone who came near the lockbox area at 2-3am for assistance, including a cleaner & residents. We showed our instructions & photos & each showed us how they got into their apartment, & could not understand why we couldn’t. We tried codes on every lock attached to the stair railing our around the complex entry with the code we were provided, without luck.
In an incredibly stressful situation in the early hours of the morning in the freezing cold, with much frustration & sleep deprivation I decided we had to find a hotel for the 3 of us to stay for a few hours. We spent close to an hour trying various hotels -many were fully booked or we had to pay for 2 rooms for the 3 of us. Eventually, at 4.45am, almost 3 hours after which we should have been in our apartment, we were in a hotel for 7 hours which cost 17000 yen, a cost which was on top on what I had already paid for the Booking.com apartment. Since I could not find a hotel with 2 rooms, 3 of us squeezed into a queen sized bed to sleep in 1 room.
At around midday, we called the apartment owner and explained our situation. He spoke some English & agree to come to the apartment & let us in fortunately. About 45 minutes later he met us & told us IT WAS NOT HIS PROBLEM WE COULDN'T GET IN.
- Gaby (9/5): Superb -
- Berke (10/5): Exceptional - Location, cleaning, servis, was realy good room is like real house Founding key is look like puzzles in assassin's creed.
- Ayano (8/5): Very good -
- Anderson (10/5): Good - so clean Nothing
- Antoine (7/5): fair value - Cheap for a studio in Tokyo - Shinjuku.
Easy acces with key box I didn't like Shinjuku that much.
