• Willy (7/5): Weekendje Mechelen - De locatie! Top, in een zijstraatje van het centrum. Spinnenwebben in de kamer, geen horren boven op de slaapkamers, dus muggen. Een keukemkastdeurtje dat stuk was en in de keuken tegen de muur stond. Een ongezellig raam naar de kale "binnenplaats" met slordig kunstgras. De 2 kamers waren 1 grote met een gedeeltelijke wand ertussen. Stond ook wel op de foto's, maar dat heb ik onderschat. Het appartement stonk naar rook, er stond een asbak, terwijl er niet gerookt mocht worden.

• Petra (8/5): Rustige plek dicht bij centrum, fijn adres - Rustige ligging maar toch erg dicht bij het centrum. Erg leuke huiskamer. Goed uitgeruste keuken. Makkelijke manier van inchecken. Erg fijne bedden. Fijn dat er AC aanwezig is. Het is een mooi, oud pand. Het was ons niet duidelijk dat het in feite één slaapkamer is met een soort scheidingswand (we dachten dat de foto een spiegel betrof). Weinig privacy dus. Het douche-gedeelte is in een van de twee slaapkamers, niet handig. De trap is een groot obstakel voor mensen die niet goed ter been zijn en/of slechtziend. Een van de drie gasten koos ervoor om een kamer in een hotel te nemen omdat ze de trap te moeilijk vond om bijv. 's nachts naar het toilet te gaan. Logisch dat je creatief met de beschikbare ruimte om moet gaan, maar wij vinden dat het dan duidelijker in de beschrijving moet staan (slaapkamers, douche, trap). In de keuken stond een kastdeurtje los op de grond, geen ramp op zich. De twee andere leden hebben op zich een prima verblijf gehad. Als je goed uit de voeten kunt is dit een perfecte locatie voor een paar dagen Mechelen!
• Joris (3/5): Onaangename ervaring - De locatie ligt prima. Heel dicht bij het centrum. De communicatie op voorhand was in orde. We kregen een latere checkout-tijd, wat we op prijs stelden. Qua verblijf zijn er erg veel zaken die niet in orde waren. Bij binnenkomst was er een onaangename geur. Deze hangt in het hele verblijf. Het was 17° met een foutmelding op de thermostaat. Aangezien we bij aankomst weinig tijd hadden, hebben we hier niets mee gedaan. Bij ontwaken zagen we dat er geen (0,0) druk zat op de ketel. Deze hebben we zelf aangevuld. Dit kan niet plots het geval zijn en lijkt dus op een eerder structureel probleem. We hadden dus geen warm water, dus ook geen douche. In het huis waren veel vliegen en in elke hoek hangen grote stofwebben. Het huisje zelf lijkt ook "snel snel" in elkaar geknutseld als je kijkt naar de vloer, plinten, ... Ik mailde de eigenaar met de vraag om deze onaangename ervaring onderling op te lossen, maar hier ontving ik geen antwoord op. Zoals ik lees bij andere negatieve reviews, zal er hier waarschijnlijk wel op geantwoord worden met veel ontkenning van de feiten.
• Dawit (10/5): Perfect, central location for a short stay - Location, cleanliness and interior design Steep staircases were a risk for my kids, and would be risky for elderly people as well
• Andrew (3/5): Disappointed - Location was very convenient for the centre of town. The property had good character and the living area was adequately furnished. Shower worked well but was situated in one of the bedrooms and, , because the bedrooms were not completely separate, offered little privacy The kitchen utensils were very limited - no teaspoons at all in the cutlery drawer! Eventually we found one hiding in a cupboard! The stairs were very restrictive. The bedrooms were only separated by a partition which was not full height which did not provide full privacy. Bedrooms were a bit claustrophobic being under the roof. One of the high level kitchen cupboard doors was a danger as when you opened the adjacent door, it almost fell off and could have caused serious injury. The parking is only in public car parks nearby (this was made clear before we arrived but the description of the property when we booked made it look as though the property itself had parking facilities) - finding a parking space in Mechelen was also a real pain as the nearby underground car parks were very full and we had to do a few circuits before we found a space

• Kieran (8/5): A lovely property in an excellent location - Excellent location - not too noisy even when the market was setting up on Saturday morning. The stairs really are quite steep but we managed not to fall down :-)

• Hetty (8/5): Een prettig appartement als uitgangspunt voor het verkennen van de mooie stad Mechelen. - De locatie was perfect, dichtbij de Grote Markt van Mechelen. De keuken was prima ingericht en er was een gezellige eettafel. De klink van de woonkamerdeur zat los. We moesten de deur open laten staan om te voorkomen, dat hij in het slot viel en niet meer geopend kon worden. De trappen waren wat steil voor ons, maar we hebben ons prima gered.

• Pierre (9/5): Nous reviendrons ! - Très jolie petite maison au cœur de la ville. La rue est très calme et les lieux très propre. La literie parfaite et la maison pratique et cosy. Le canapé pourrait être plus confortable et la télévision plus grande mais à part ça , c’était parfait.

• Nancy (8/5): Het was een aangenaam verblijf. Zeker om nog terug te gaan. - Het was in een zijstraat niet ver van de grote markt. Toch was het stil en niets van geluidshinder. Op zo een kleine locatie dat alles toch aanwezig was. Tot zelfs kleine vaatwasser.

• Marie-Christine (7/5): Matig comfort op prima locatie - De locatie is perfect: vlakbij de Grote Markt en toch rustig. De woonkamer is ruim en de open keuken goed voorzien. Er is overal airco. De buitenruimte is een morsig klein plaatsje. De slaapverdieping is in feite een open ruimte met twee bedden (met een muurtje ertussen), met tegenover één van de bedden een douchecabine en een wastafel,. Er is boven geen wc. Er hangt een lichte rioollucht in het trappenhuis. Er liggen twee handdoeken, één p.p., voor drie dagen.
• Gregory (4/5): Smelly - Dirty One Bedroom Unit with 2 Beds seperated by wall. - Just steps from the main square. Owner was very nice to deal with. Allowed us to check in at Noon when ready. The Smell was "Funky". Unidentified bad smell. Toilet Room smelled worse. It has a can of spray so they know they have a smell issue. But also could have been moldy astroturf in a outdoor enclosed porch. Unit not clean. Beds not clean. This is also NOT a 2 bedroom. On the 3rd level up there is one door into a room with 2 beds with a wall between the 2 beds (but no door). Toilet is down a steep flight of stairs on the Main/Kitchen Living Room Level. Which worked out well given the smell. AC Unit did not work. No windows upstairs in bath area but 2 skylights that opened. Neighbors partying in the street from 2 - 3 am kept us awake.
• ANA (8/5): Bien para una noche de paso. Descanso y buen pecio. - El apartamento está bien situado, cerca del centro aunque no hay aparcamiento en la puerta. Fue una noche de paso en nuestra ruta, dejamos el coche cerca pero en zona de hora que es caro, como llegamos por la noche ya no se pagaba y salimos por la mañana, solo pusimos un ticket de media hora. Es incómodo para estar varios días porque está distribuido en varios pisos, pero por una noche a nosotros no nos importó. Buen precio y comodidad con el checkin porque nos facilitaron un código para la entrada. Las cama y la ducha están bien, zona tranquila y de buen descanso. Revisaría un poco el menaje de la cocina, sólo había 3 tenedores y éramos 4. Tal vez pondría un tostador. Por lo demás todo bien para una noche de paso.

• Susana (6/5): Estancia agradable con agua fría. - El espacio de la primera planta, muy agradable. Muy buena ubicación. Smart tv con tu clave puedes ver Netflix Qué no hubiera agua caliente, los dos días mos tuvimos que duchar con agua fría. Baño y ducha en plantas diferentes.
• Térence (5/5): Mitigé - Nous avons aimé l'emplacement et l'appartement ancien. Mechelen est une jolie ville et c'était une chance d'être au cœur de son animation, a deux pas de la grand place. L'appartement est dans une impasse calme, c'est un bel atout. Nous avions réservé 2 chambres mais il n'y a qu'une seule chambre dans l'appartement. Ce fût un gros problème pour nous. Il y a aussi de fortes odeurs d'égouts qui remontent dans l'appartement en soirée, c'est très désagréable.

• francesca (4/5): - Bella posizione centralissima. L'area soggiorno è ampia Le camere sono comunicanti, nessuna privacy. La doccia è il lavabo sono in una delle camere. Un solo asciugamano a testa non è in linea con le norme igieniche che sconsigliano di utilizzarne uno per viso e corpo. La richiesta di averne 1 in più non è stata accettata dal proprietario per ragioni ecologiche. Camere molto calde nonostante l'aria condizionata
• Jozefien (9/5): Top gelegen! - De ligging is TOP! Alain is ook goed bereikbaar en geeft je spontaan leuke suggesties om je verblijf nog aangenamer te maken. Alles beviel ons. Wij logeerden toevallig op de warmste nacht van het jaar. Er was gelukkig airco op de kamer. We raden aan om oordopjes mee te brengen, dan kan je optimaal genieten van de airco.

• Kevbods (10/5): Exceptional - Great locating 10 minutes from the office and 2 minutes from the Grote Markt. Nice apartment, with all the facilities you will need. Super friendly staff who answered my questions very quickly. For me, this is not a dislike. I'm used to Dutch houses. The stairs are steep. There is no door between the 2 sleeping areas, so make sure you are comfortable with your travelling companions.

• Van (10/5): Exceptional - Central location - very clean and good value for money. All you can ask for. The 2 rooms are only seperated with one wall, but honestly for the price you pay it makes sense. No where else can you find 2 rooms for that budget so only fair.

• Isaac (8/5): Quiet house in the middle of Mechelen centre - It is only a few steps from the hustle and bustle of Grote Markt but is quiet. It is so convenient to get to anywhere in the city centre. There is plenty of space, and all the amenities we need for our 1-week stay The two beds are separated by a partition. They are not two separate rooms - so privacy is an issue if sharing among friends.

Parking option for a reasonable price in 15 min walking distance. The stairs are quite narrow and steep. For us not a problem, however it might be something to keep in mind, if you you decide for this accomodation.
