Guest Reviews
- Aryal (10/5): Nice and cosy space, well maintained as well. We enjoyed our stay at Wave n Sea. -
- Meenakshi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Minjie (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (5/5): Disappointing would not stay there again - Unfortunately the weather was very poor so we were not able to enjoy the views. However there were a few disappointments with this property.
The bathroom was tiny. If we had been large we wouldn't have been able to use. Kitchen facilities only just and the entry (if we were not fit) is problematic. Steep drive along stone path to stairs. Carrying bags for a lot of people would be difficult. Tariff was high for what was a large motel room. Not value for money. Entry
Small Bathroom
Inadequate kitchen
Over priced for what was essentially a motel room
- Nadine (9/5): Superb -
- Carl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (7/5): Friendly hosts and most amenities provided A larger fridge and a cooking hot plate would have been g - Plenty of room and had most amenities The price was a little high for what was provided
We like to cook our own meals but there was not any cooking equipment
Also the fridge was very small
Ok for overnight but would not be ok for a longer stay
- Azzopardi (8/5): A great discovery. Lovely peaceful retreat with a nature connection and well positioned for Kiama. - Wonderful spot. Great location for walking and the little deck at the back to take in the spectacular view was wonderful. Bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, bit dark and dated inside (could maybe paint the bricks or put white wood cladding perhaps? Not a big deal though, but just had to put an answer.
- Jac (8/5): Clean and simple stay - Clean, simple, good value for money, nice location. Great communication and welcoming hosts. I guess we didn't realise that the property is part of the main house converted to a studio - we were expecting more a granny flat type thing. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not expected. The tap water also had a pretty strong taste, so perhaps a water jug with a filter (or some bottled water) in the fridge would be a nice touch for future guests :)
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- S (9/5): Superb - This property is at the back of the main home, a few minutes drive from the main part of town. The photos and description of the property matched what we visited - it was clean, simple and good value. The hosts communicated with us clearly before our stay, we saw the hosts as we were checking in and they were friendly and gave us a quick tour of the place. I'd recommend staying at this property.
- Bret (8/5): Very good -
- Rick (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (8/5): Tidy, clean and welcoming - The owners are very friendly and welcoming, very cute little stay! Very tidy and clean! No exhaust fan made the bathroom quite stuffy .. I have a bad back so I found the bed not comfortable. But that’s just me and my back being fussy.
- Robyn (9/5): Nice private spotless roomy stay at the rear of the hosts home, with coast view from garden. Thankyou - Plenty of space. Lovely view. Good bed Dark walls inside - but this is no problem, everything was done so nicely in the fitout
Bathroom small but lovely and there’s heaps of space for dressing in the studio
- Papinder (10/5): I could make this place my go to when in Kiama. - Stunning views from the deck. Photo taken around 5.30am. Very quiet street and great for walkers and people wanting a good dose of nature. Feels like home away from home. The shower sink is very small and I felt bad when I kept spring water on the floor.
- Sharne (10/5): Beautiful view and close to town - Beautiful view and so close to the town. The studio was also cleaner than most high end hotels I’ve stayed at. The couple who host Wave n’ Sea are so so lovely, I would definitely recommend staying here!
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amelia (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Our host was thoughtful. lo
- Darren (10/5): Very comfortable and easily one of the cleanest and well maintained places on the South Coast/NSW. - Everything about our stay was brilliant. We met a nice guy upon arrival and he let us in and showed us some things, gave us a little local knowledge and we really didn't see him again for the duration. The space itself is magnificent and is much larger than the photos suggest. Everything was either gleaming clean or totally brand new and the views from the window in the bathroom, the entrance/exit and the deck in the yard were outstanding. It's a drive to most places we were going, but the drive itself gets seemingly shorter every time you do it, until you realise it's pretty easy after all. The Kiama area is beautiful and full of natural wonder and our accommodation matched it perfectly. 11 out of 10. There was honestly nothing that 'I didn't like'.
- Lisa (10/5): Comfy, clean and happy space with amazing views - The hosts were so accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the studio was modern and clean including the bathroom and kitchen. The view from the deck was sensational. Walking distance to Kiama Coastal Walk. Good sized yard. The hosts were contactable and readily available for assistance. Thank you Bernie and Joan for all your help! ;) The deck with views over Loves Bay is not connected to the house but at the rear of the yard. Also the stidio is adjoining the main house. Not necessarily negatives but just something to note.
- Graeme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elider (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (7/5): Good -
- Deborah (1/5): Bad -
- Rod (7/5): Good -
- Sharon (9/5): It was a lovely place with great views and the host, Bernie was very friendly and helpful. -
- Virginia (7/5): comfy bed and lovely views! -
- Menaka (8/5): Very good - Amazing location, you can see the coastal walk from the deck and it's a short walk to start the trail at Loves Bay.
- Grant (2/5): Terrible value and poorly done. Would not recommend to anyone. - Not much Access around an uneven and dangerous surface. No suitable kitchen facilities-only sink was a set of laundry tubs in another room. The viewing deck was across the backyard and down a flight of steps that did not encourage you to use it and was supposed to be a major part of the experience. Bed was a cheap hard mattress that resulted in a very poor sleep
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Exceeded expectations - Comfy, clean, great outlook n/a
- Michael (10/5): Perfect little getaway. - Immaculately clean, comfortable and wonderfully quiet. Beautiful view out back with a sundeck from which to enjoy it. Met one of the owners who was warm, approachable and very helpful. Would definitely recommend Wave n Sea and look forward to staying there again in the future. Honestly there was nothing I and my partner disliked. Definitely no complaints.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Spacious and clean. Staff helpful. None
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - This is my 2nd. time staying at Wave n Sea.... looking forward to the 3rd.
- Alanna (8/5): Beautiful view - This was a lovely place to stay. The view from the little deck was beautuful, the unit was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was small but modern and the bed was comfortable. The host made us feel welcome and gave us a run down of the property when we arrived. We'd definitely stay here again. Would have been nice to have a toaster, but not essential!
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Shenhao (9/5): Good - location and view price value. heater not enough
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - the view was breathtaking. Very special indeed!! I have already booked for a second time Nothing noted
- Thomas (8/5): Comfortable and cozy unit with a great outlook. - Great studio room, much bigger than expected. And the private deck with the view was exquisite. Joan was very helpful with our continued change of arrival times, and Bernie, despite being caught unawares with our arrival, was a great welcoming host. A little wall-mounted retractable mirror in the bathroom would be a useful addition.
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Perfect for an overnight stay
- Tony (7/5): ok - view to the sea and meadow A few unexpected insects crawling on the floor.
bathroom bit small
- Kara (8/5): Very good -
- Sabine (9/5): Very nice and quiet - very nice view from the garden
- Benjamin (10/5): A perfect coastal get away. - The hosts are extremely welcoming. It is a lovely studio with plenty of room for you to relax during your stay. The view from the back door is breathtaking.
Being only a five minute walk from the start of a spectacular coastal walk, the place is in an excellent location.
We went to the Brooding Italian Cafe for breakfast which was wonderful, and got to enjoy the Folk Music Festival in town, everything being less than 5 minutes drive away.
Couldn’t recommend the place any more!
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Meagan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chrystle (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): A fantastic time at Wave n’ Sea - Fantastic accomodation! We loved our time at Wave n’ Sea. The room was very spacious and was perfect for our night in Kiama. The linen and towels were laundered beautifully, the room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend!
- Kano (8/5): Beautiful area - The owner was very kind and was keen to make our stay very enjoyable. The room was clean and very cosy. The view was beatiful and was a very peaceful area. I would recommend staying here.
- Darren (7/5): Good -
- Richard (5/5): It was comfortable and clean, but a little different to the pictures. - Clean and comfortable The decking railing seems dangerous and the coffee was in a half used jar. Only 1 cup, 1 glass, even though we booked for 2.
- Kelly (9/5): Great value for money - Great hosts, good value for money and stunning view
- Shakib (10/5): Enjoyable stay for a getaway from the hustle and bustle in your life - 100% recommended - The host, Bernie, is amiable and loves to provide suggestions so that we can make the most of our stay. He is open to any suggestions to provide better customer service.
The room was gorgeous! I wish I could have extended my stay. The host also provided a mocha, tea, and latte that goes beautifully when you watch the sunrise from the deck.
The location is spot on - you can walk to your left to reach Kiama or to your right towards Gerringong. The sunrise view from this stay is unbeatable. -
- Robert (7/5): Good - Distance to the little blowhole is nearby. The property has a nice sea view. The TV has Netflix, which we enjoyed watching at night. The room is specious and comfortable. There is no hairdryer. There is no mini fridge in the room. Only provided two hangers, which was not enough for us. We would have preferred at least four hangers. Their pillows were too soft.
- Leila (8/5): We like the place and people are very nice to us - The location was good very privacy for 2 people Something that the quest needed
