• Monique (1/5): STAY AWAY- TERRIBLE!!! - Nothing Everything was terrible and checked out way before my checkout date! There was no hot water, the bathroom lights were not working. Drawers were not even in a working condition.The internet was on with no connection which was a huge inconvenience for my business. The window sills, vents and drawers were packed with dust. The kitchen utensils are limited you have a selection of forks and spoons..the outside door on the street side doesn't lock or close, there is no security. Dark and gloomy without lights being on 24/7. This apartment should not be on a reputable app like this. I would not recommend it at all!

• Laura (1/5): Nicht empfehlenswert - Ich habe eine zwei Zimmer Wohnung gebucht für 3 Personen und ein Studio mit lediglich 2 kleinen Betten bekommen! Nur zwei Decken und Kissen zum schlafen. Und trotzdem den vollen Preis zahlen müssen. Der Wohnzimmer Tisch ist fast auseinander gebrochen, die Bar auch. Nichts der Möbel konnte man wirklich anfassen weil fast alles auseinander gefallen ist. Die Küche hatte absolut keine Ausstattung bis auf 1 Löffel, 1 Messer und zwei Gabeln. Wasser lief die ganze Zeit aus der Toilette alles in allem das Geld nicht wert.

Wet towels, dirty bathroom carpets, there was dirt swept into a corner. - The ad was deceiving in respect of the exterior of the premises (and hence why I suspect there are no photos of the exteiror to the property). Towels were damp on arrival, bathroom carpets were not clean, there was excess dirt swept into the corner at the entrance hall, and a back of uncleared dirt at the door. This being unacceptable conditions to stay in, I notified the host immediately that I wanted to check-out at the very next day, as it was too late to find alternative accommodation, and that I required a refund for the remaining 2 days. My request was denied, which should no accountability on the part of the host whatsoever. I would caution to book this place with extreme caution, and do not book for more than 1 night, in order to view it first.

• Carlos (1/5): Stay clear of this place. There are way better options in Maadi. - Online support was nice and helpfull but it was only selfcheck in. Apartment is much worse than it looks in the photos. Wifi didn't work. TV didn't work. The electrical system looks really shady. Lights in bedroom don't fully turn off. AC's units are very old and insanely loud. Zero sound and temp insulation. There is cafe outside open until 4am. Sheets had yellow stains and the towels were soaking wet drying on top of the bed. This part of Maadi isn't great. One hour after arriving I booked something else way better for the same price in Maadi and moved in the morning.

• Gavin (8/5): Comfortable apartment in a good location! - Apartment was generally clean (except for notes below about kitchen). The electronic keypad made entry very easy - all apartments should have there :) Apartment was located on third floor and for information of future guests there is no elevator. Great location very close to The Nile. With a few improvements it the apartment could easily go from “good” to “great” Wifi was not initially working and fixed on the second day. Crockery and pots in kitchen was not clean and needed to be washed before use. No frypan provided. Limited towels provided.

• Paurav (6/5): What you pay is what you get! - We stayed for 9 nights overall (2 families totalling 7 people). We also hired their other property which is a floor below. The property is in Maadi area which is great. The shopping area is close and so easy to get groceries etc. The property is cheap and cheerful. Air conditioning works. There is good amount of space in the living room. Wifi works. The property manager is quite responsive in her own unique way. The apartment building is quite dated, and the apartment itself reflects that. The windows do not close properly, which may be an issue for travelers accustomed to a quiet environment, as outside noise can be noticeable. Many light switches do not work, and the lights flicker occasionally. Despite repeated requests, these issues remained unresolved for days. The property provides only one towel per bathroom, and since this apartment has just one bathroom, we were given a single towel. When we requested additional towels, the property manager informed us that we would need to purchase our own. For a two-bedroom apartment advertised to accommodate up to eight people, this was highly inadequate. We had to go out and buy towels, which turned into an unnecessary hassle. The kitchen is poorly equipped, with minimal utensils and hardly any essential cutlery like forks and knives. If you plan to cook, be aware that the basics are lacking. Charging devices is also inconvenient, as only a few power outlets function. Additionally, there is only one WiFi router shared between the two apartments (on the 3rd and 4th floors), which affects connectivity. Communication with the caretaker is challenging, as they do not understand English at all. Another issue is that the building’s main gate locks at 11 PM. If you arrive later, you need to track down the caretaker, which can be time-consuming and frustrating.

The host, with their gracious hospitality, ensured that every aspect of my stay was perfect, from the welcoming touches to the invaluable local insights. For those who appreciate the beauty of the past and seek an experience beyond the ordinary, this apartment is a true gem.
