Guest Reviews
- Tracy (1/5): Read my review & save your money & the hassle - PLEASE READ EVERYTHING & OTHER REVIEWS & save yourself the hassle!
There was nothing I liked as the owner/managers gaslit us with our accommodation. Gave us attitude from the moment we booked. Charged us double the parking fee (found out on checking day that the apartments are not charged parking at all), I asked if we could possibly get an early check-in (was told that it would cost an extra $150).
On check-in day & times, was not given access to building - was ghosted, until I rang booking.com to get sorted. Then was bombarded with messages, texts saying they couldn’t get hold of me (load of 💩) as I was sitting in a near by cafe from 4pm to after 10pm trying to get access to accommodation.
When booking.com cancelled the accommodation on my behalf the owners/managers again bombarded me with very nasty & name calling messages & threatened to keep the money I paid for the accommodation over $2,200 & the $480 for parking & damage bond.
I didn’t get the $2,200 back but not the $480.
If you’ve read this far so far, then wait for the owners to have their derogatory & defamatory repose like with other reviews.
Honestly I wanted my booking to be cancelled as I would’ve prefers to sleep on a park bench (which what looked like happening at the time) then stay in their apartment, I was so worried that they would accuse me of damaging the unit or they would walk on us (my son & I) or lock us out when we left the apartment & we would have a hell of a time getting our possessions back. Everything!!!

- Bec (6/5): Clean and tidy budget family accommodation - Very close to Accor Stadium so didn't have to worry about getting out of Olympic Park at the end of the night. Good budget accom for a family where we could each have our own room rather than get multiple hotel rooms.
The room offered a view of the playground, so I guess, if you had kids, you could watch them from the verandah. The owners' communications were rude and weirdly derogatory toward me for booking only one night - we were there to see Oasis, seems like one night is enough. The instructions for the Geocached key were provided late, affecting our ability to check in on a very busy night. The unit is clean and tidy budget accom, not the luxury that is advertised. The beds are only double beds, so they are only suited to short people, and if you are sharing, very cozy. The stickytaped notes about the very expensive rugs were weird (100% polypropylene, so rare machine-woven rugs from K-mart???).
We were back to Olympic Park a fortnight later for AC/DC and stayed at the Novotel instead - highly recommend the Novotel, the party vibe they set up was great, totally worth getting extra rooms and having beds our feet didn't hang off.
- Emily (10/5): -
- Kirsty (10/5): Great location - Well stocked, clean, comfortable and most importantly within walking distance of the concert we went to
- Mel (1/5): I would not recommend booking this accommodation. Also "luxury" is a stretch. - The location was literally the only positive about this apartment. The owners of this property have charged extra charges, such as an after hours check in fee (with a check in window of 4pm - 7pm) and because they didn't receive the funds they expected from Booking.com. So rather than give us back our $400 "damage deposit" which was required to be paid before they would release the check in guide, (*note, NO staff are required for checkin, we did it ourselves, keys were in a lockbox) they took $150 for a late check in fee as well as the difference between what they believed they were entitled to from Booking.com. I will be following this up with ACCC as I have yet to receive a response from Booking.com
We paid $2270 through Booking.com and then $520.00 directly to owner for "damage deposit" + parking.
Their text message below. Note, the checkin guide has since been mysteriously deleted, so I am unable to confirm, but I believe these late check in charges were not stated in any documentation.
"Hello Mel Smale, your damage deposit remainder return has been processed. Below are the calculations (all relevant receipts and breakdowns have been attached showing the missing amount and whatevs paid):
Expected payout as stated on booking: $1848.01
Received incomplete amount from booking:
$1791.02
$400 (deposit) -150 (late check in fee/ cost to pay someone do carry it out after hours going into the weekend)=$250.00(deposit remainder) - $56.99 (amount of payout missing they incorrectly did not include the default added $70 cleaning fee like is always there) = $193.01 returned.
Please note that booking website weirdly closed the chat at 3:45pm preventing us from responding to your message shortly before that on there; however we put a note and responded here.
We simply did our due diligence on calculating this based on facts of fee and an incomplete payment from booking followed by a weird suspicious early closing of the chat. we had to confirm several things but we’ve returned the correct remainder.
- Michael (4/5): Host is no good, waiting for our $400 bond still - Located near the venue Looking for keys, waste of time.
Cleaning cloth is left with black mould on it (major health hazard)
Still waiting to get my $400 bond back. If not returned by the 19/06/25 I will open a case with fair trading.
