Guest Reviews
- Robert (7/5): acceptable - property needs upkeep
- Deborah (1/5): Antique mattress as well. - The photos on line. The actual experience. Not a B and B more like an antique rooming house, it was clean but.old, the bed pillows were old, worn and the mattress was lumpy hard. We did not stay, booked another hotel. No staff on site, but they did communicate on line.
Belle cuisine accessible. Chaises sur la galerie. Pas de petit- déjeuner. Aucun hôte sur place. Chambre non climatisée. Plafond non épousseté. Nid de guêpe sur galerie.
- Caroline (8/5): - Emplacement central parfait
- Lyne (9/5): -
- Andree (10/5): Cute inn to stay in while visiting the eastern townships! - Excellent location close to downtown Magog. Very easy to get to the highway to get to other parts of the eastern townships as well.
- Zoe (9/5): -
- Marcia (5/5): We had a restful night but found the room just too crowded. The owner was very nice. - The room & bathroom were clean but small. It would have been nice to have coffee/tea available in the morning. Our room was cramped.
- Boulva (9/5): -
- Louis (6/5): Good as a last resort - Use of the kitchen was great and everything was clean Small room in need of updating
- Brunton (9/5): Overall a great stay! Would recommend. - The property was as-advertised. The room was as clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very large with all the amenities needed. The bed mattress was not uncomfortable, but could likely stand to be replaced in the near future.
- Shawn (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Lovely bygone era vibe w modern amenities. -
- Perreault (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Awesome building and feels like such history attached to it along with a modern kitchen. - The building is Victorian but it totally exceeded our expectations with the amount of space and decor.
- Rgratton60 (8/5): Very good -
- Nathalie (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice decor, 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. A special thanks for accepting my dog. They are very accommodating and if was a wonderful experience. Only hiccup, there should be individual air conditionners or fans in the room as it gets a bit warm, but that is easily overcome with the fact that dogs are really welcome here.
- Maya (10/5): Fabulous! We will be back! - The house was beautiful, immaculate and lots of lovely touches. We were very fortunate to be the only guest so we had the entire place to ourselves! We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back. We were a little confused about the parking situation because google maps showed us that the gite was the wrong building. But it was not a big deal.
- Kathleen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Terry (9/5): Old World Charm in the Centre of Magog - The location is ideal, on a quiet street a very short walk to the main street where there are many shops and restaurants. The room was very clean and communication with the owner was fast and efficient. The towels were soft and fluffy. Although I did not use them, there is a common living room and kitchen at your disposal. Although I didn't mind it all, the old-style decor may not appeal to everyone.
- Pierre (7/5): Correct -
- Rita (8/5): Very good - The house , the garden and the location.
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
- Berend (5/5): Would not recommend this place in the summer as the cooling is absent in the befroom. - Very cozy. Could keep myself busy at night. Love the set up. The bed was rock hard. As a result very uncomfortable. Also the airconditioning was absent and made for a hot room.
- Wilfredo (4/5): Disappointing - Wi-Fi smell
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (5/5): A novel experience that left me wanting breakfast. - The decor/theme was exceptional. A great experience unlike anything you’d find staying at a hotel. The cleanliness was great. Location was perfect. The check in process was convenient. Several online reviews mention how great breakfast was at this location and I specifically chose it for this. Considering the price of $200 for one night, one might assume breakfast would be included. I was very disappointed it was not and it was never made clear that this was not included in the price. More direct advertising would have been appreciated.
- Cindy (5/5): Passable - Location was excellent. I booked the place because the reviews on the site spoke highly of the breakfast. Tea and coffee is available.
This is no breakfast anymore.
I also thought the owner would be in the house, and they are not so it has more of a hostel feeling.
The kettle was filthy, used a pot to boil water.
