We couldn’t watch any movies on tv as it wouldn’t let us sign into our Netflix account etc or wouldn’t work on the hosts!

• Christina (1/5): Cancelled Holiday. 😔 - I would not recommend this property. The photos are clearly taken many years ago when the unit was first renovated. Whist the property manager was understanding and refunded our money, it cancelled our holiday as we had to abandon our booking. This property needs an extensive deep clean. It has clearly been a party house and there has been no care or attention to detail to upkeep. Extensive mould in air conditioning and clean was the worst I’ve ever seen.

• Amanda (4/5): Wouldn’t bother staying there again. - The location is great, if you want to hear 5 bands playing simultaneously all night long. Air con in main bedroom but not in second bedroom or living areas, extremely hot in summer.

• aoife (4/5): Location good. Place not clean - The apartment location was perfect. Nice size good facilities Apartment was not clean. Glasses were greasy and all cutlery required a wash before being used. There was a glass pain missing in the main room which made the noise worse. Air conditioning would have been nice in the second bedroom as the fan was very loud and did very little to cool it down.

• Peters (5/5): - Location was handy but noisier than we expected. To noisy, very hot and fans not affective. Bedroom heat terrible even with the air conditioner on all night in the main roo.
• Lauren (5/5): - Great central location, and very large lounge / dining area. The larger bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The apartment needs a good deep clean - it smells like B.O., floors were sticky, balcony was very sandy & there’s lots of dust in the air conditioner and exhaust fans. Plus some sprouts growing from a mat on the back balcony, and the BBQ was also unusable as it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Noisy - There’s a large construction site out the back, late night bars across the street, and permanent upstairs residents who are very noisy at 1 - 3am (despite instructions for us to be mindful of noise for them, they don’t seem to have the same consideration…) 3 stars for us - it was fine for a short stay, but we likely won’t return.
• Amelia (5/5): Aesthetically gorgeous spot, but not ideal if your wanting somewhere quiet. - The apartment itself was beautiful decorated, plenty of room for all of us. We could hear the music from the Main Street the entire night, it wasn’t quiet at all and only having one key for a 2 BDR apartment!
• Alisha (10/5): Lovely apartment in a prime location! - Lovely stay. Really like the apartment. It was neat and tidy, beds were comfortable, responsive host and the location could not have been better. Met the cleaner in the morning and he was such a nice guy, really friendly. Will definitely return for any future Byron visits and recommend to friends and family visiting. Didn’t like that the bedrooms had a glass window between them.

• Rebecca (5/5): Not so ace stay. - Comfy beds and good locations. The smell when we arrived was awful, a very bad body odour smell. Informing the host and the response wasn’t great. Location is great if you’re in Byron for a party but can hear the music of all the local pubs which made it hard to sleep. The photos also don’t represent how the apartment looks, stained chairs, dirty balcony and needs a little freshen up for the price you pay to stay.

• lucy (4/5): Town centre flat - Clean. Good central location Cigarette burns and stains on couch and outside area. Patio area not comfortable to sit. Entrance right off the busy high street feels like you’re staying in an old office. Ok for groups wanting to party, but too loud and weathered for us
• Sophie (8/5): A great stay would definitely book again - Spacious, nice furnishings, comfortable. Great indoor and outdoor living space. An aircon in the second bedroom would have been good as my daughter was quite hot and stand up fan was noisy.

• Teresa Allison (5/5): - Bright and easy location to beach. Terribly noisy front of house until about 2am then the rear building works start about 5am. Nice and bright needs repairs, outside seating needs replacing cigarette burns in them. Broken windows allowing mosquitos in. Air conditioning only in 1 bedroom. Shower placed to close to wall, sink tap too long therefore unable to wash properly.

• Courtney (6/5): Good location in the heart of Byron at a reasonable price but you get what you pay for - Good location in the heart of Byron and lovely staff. They provide beach towels if you don’t have one. I think this is the first level of someone’s home as you can constantly hear people walking or showering above you and the bars at night. It wasn’t clean professionally and the bathroom already had hair in it when we arrived and the fans were extremely dusty. There was also no aircon and paid parking in 2 or 4 hour intervals if you’re lucky to get one close.

• Flossy (9/5): Perfect unit in heart of town centre - This great apartment is right in the heart of town, upstairs from the shopping precinct. We really loved this unit, and it was perfect for our short stay. We loved everything about the unit, but it could do with a really good clean which would make a huge difference to the overall appearance / cleanliness of the unit.

• Peta (10/5): Happy, restful, tidy, clean, very accommodating host. Thanks - We liked the convenience of the location. It’s winter and was surprised how the unit was warm. The parking was a big thing. The council signs and cost was pretty stressful. Parking availability was advised but eg back parking 4hrs however you pay $5.00 per hour Probably time to update and get a new iron No extra blankets Just slept with a doona cover no top sheet No dish wash cloth to wipe down benches. Hardly any dishwashing liquid No coffee, plenty of tea thanks Fire escape there was nothing but front door access was a bit concerning. Fire extinguisher and blanket perfect Some grip stuff to put under your floor mats in lounge and hall. Bit slippery. Nearly tripped and slid over. I’m sure with these improvements it will be perfect.

• Karina (5/5): Good location but facilities need improvement - Location was very central Outside furniture full of birdshit, kitchen utensils dirty, only one teatowel, no coffee, curtains and furniture need a good clean. Normal TV did not work only Netflix and Prime ok.

• Mandy (7/5): The Ace at Byron Bay......... an honest review. - The beds were comfortable, and the water pressure was fantastic. LACK OF CLEAR SIGNAGE.... IT WAS VERY HARD TO FIND! The microwave is basically inaccessible. Pity the aircon/heater only serviced 1 room, and there wasn't any heating available in the family area. There were no complimentary beverages makings eg coffee, tea, milk & sugar. Lounge covers should have been a little cleaner.

• Erica (7/5): Good - The location of this property could not be better. The property had everything we needed for a short stay, and we enjoyed having a wine out on the generous balcony. Leigh was super helpful and responsive with our enquiries. It didn't bother us, but there is a bit of noise from a club next door on weekend evenings. There isn't any free parking nearby, but it's fine if you drop your bags off and don't mind a walk. Note there is a flight of stairs to get up to the property, so might not suit those with mobility issues.
• Katy (8/5): Very good - Great location with access to everything very easily Property was a bit dusty, especially the fans in the second bedroom. Was also very loud at night due to the windows not closing properly - however, this is to be expected with the location.

• Jackie (5/5): Great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of everything and into the night life. - The location Very noisy with the bars down below. Rubbish trucks woke us at 5.30 every morning. No milk in fridge or coffee, would have been nice to make a coffee when we arrived. Basin in bathroom didn’t drain properly and it had moments where the smell was very off. Couldn’t have warm shower first morning due to fuse which was fixed promptly.

• Roxanne (6/5): Very central - Place was very central on Main Street and short walk to the beach. Plenty of restaurants and other places to eat. Really convenient. Parking is available at rear of property but be warned it’s metered parking. Beds lovely and comfortable, only air conditioning in main bedroom. Pub across the road turns to a night club later in the evening so pretty loud in the front of the unit but when door closed in the main bedroom it reduces it.

• Alana (10/5): Incredible stay! - The location of The Ace was incredible! Right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay! You cant get a better or more central location! The property was larger then we expected! A lovely balcony over looking the busy Johnson Street. Once inside you couldn't hear the busy street. Bed's were so comfortable! Can't wait t9 stay again!

• Tracey (2/5): Definitely not a luxury stay - The apartment was definitely not clean, beds definitely needed updating, linen was dirty and old, this place is exceptional noisy, unfortunately I didn't read the reviews. It's in the main street, bars and pubs had bands every night except 1. Neighbour's upstairs were hammering and sawing when we were trying to sleep. Skirtings were dirty, shower, head needs replacing and sinks were small and tap spout too big. overpriced and looked nothing like the pictures. Very disappointed 😞

• Debby (8/5): Great location but very noisy! - Fantastic location. Right in the heart of everything but maybe too close. The apartment itself was great. Nice and big with good facilities. Nice restaurants/bars in the area. The main problem is that it is so noisy at night. If you are partying until 4am then this is perfect. We got very little sleep the first night so we bought ear plugs in the chemist across the road and slept better on the second night. Walking distance to everywhere! Great piano bar across the road. Too noisy as it is beside a club (2 doors up)
• Ceccherini (8/5): Very good - The apartment is amazing, right in the middle of everything. I hope i can get there when the weather is nicer and use the balcony. There was a smell like when the floor has been cleaned with a dirty mop.
• Belle (4/5): Far too expensive for what it is - extremely noisy and was not as clean as we had hoped - Great location and plenty of space for us with a young baby Unfortunately we had approx 1 hour of sleep last night. The club near by was playing music so loudly that it was vibrating the whole apartment. Our baby or us could not sleep. Once the music stopped at 3 we slept for approx an hour to then be woken again by trucks and people setting up for the markets at 4am! The windows are very thin glass and the smoke coming from smokers down stairs would seep through the windows in the main living area. When we arrived, the apartment did not smell very clean. The bedroom smelled of old sheets / am unsure if they were changed as it had a musky scent of previous people who may have been in there prior to us. We usually would not spend nearly $300 a night for accommodation unless we are sure it is a great service (and this is what we thought we were going to have), but to have had no rest was a little disappointing and feel a little robbed.

• Max (7/5): Busy street, good location but keep in mind the noise of the hustle n bustle of clubs opposite. - Good Location. Super spacious! The shower had super low pressure and difficult to clean yourself properly. Sinks were extremely small and almost impossible to wash hands without spilling water all over the ground. And we also had the host enter the apartment at 8am on the departure day without letting us know. He didn't knock or even text/phone us to let us know, just entered on his own accord. We found this a bit bizarre and a bit uncomfortable.

• Regina (5/5): would not stay again - Great location - although noisy, must be a nightclub nearby , we had to sleep with earplugs not as per images on the booking site - this apartment is tired !! stained carpets, broken cupboard doors and fixtures in the bathrooms - everything is scuffed and needs a repaint - did not feel clean with cobwebs in corners and behind curtains. outdoor furniture too dirty to sit on .
• Steven (1/5): It was that bad we didn’t stay there - We did like it at all, so we had to book somewhere else that night, as we never stayed there and they didn’t give us a refund It’s was a bad conversation of an office, it was noisy and there where gaps in the windows that the weather could get through and the noise of the street.
