• Nadia (5/5): Adequate - The location is convenient and the bathroom was clean and well-equiped. There are full-length mirrors, which I always appreciate. This is for Unit 1309. I received a number of texts from the host during our stay because they wanted to ensure they got a 10/10 score. Well, frankly for a 10/10 the place needs a lot of work. It's an old place, floor is wonky, fixtures and furniture are worn out. - I was under the impression that there were two separate bedrooms - perhaps the listings should make it clear that there is only one with two queen beds in it. Even the pictures are misleading about this. - The balcony door does not have a mesh screen door and there were many bees on the balcony, making it hard to leave the door open for some fresh air. - The ceiling light in the kitchen area is not installed so it was dark in the kitchen area once the sun set. - The shelving in the living room is not properly attached so they kept flipping over if something heavy was placed improperly. - The couch was extremely uncomfortable and it was not possible to relax while watching TV. - The futon-type seat/foldout bed looked really dirty - I used a throw over it to sit on it. - The knives in the kitchen are all blunt. - There are power outlet extensions next to one of the beds but nothing for the other bed.

• Wanis (7/5): La porte - L'appartement est super agréable, bien positionné, franchement propre et bien entretenu. Il y a le métro juste à côté, c'est super pratique avec beaucoup de restaurants à proximité. La rue est calme le équipement sont tous fonctionnel . Je me suis retrouvé bloqué derrière la porte car le digicode ne fonctionnait plus et il n'y avait pas de clé dans le coffre à côté de la porte pour dépanner ou quoi. Je suis donc resté bloqué au moins 1h40 derrière la porte sans pouvoir rentrer. C'est finalement une personne qui est venue m'aider, heureusement qu'il n'était pas tard et que c'était en pleine après-midi. Et Philippe n'est pas très réactif. Merci à Maks de m'avoir aidé. J'espère quand même qu'il y aura des clés pour les prochaines personnes et qu'elles ne devront pas attendre 1h ou plus que l'on débloque la porte. Et que même s'il n'y a rien, une personne sera prête à se déplacer la nuit pour aider si ça arrive

Well equipped.The Best mattress I have had so far on my trips. Shower head was leaking and when you open the water you got spray of water from it as well.
• Amelia (9/5): Convenient location and very well appointed - Extremely convenient location - practically next door to the subway (very close to the Beaudry station) and lots of amenities nearby - good breakfast/dinner options, a cookie store, convenience options, etc. Lots of room and well appointed - with thoughtful touches like ear plugs, washer pods, and a chilled Brita pitcher in the fridge. The bed was way more comfortable than most hotel beds - not too hard/firm. Very effective A/C. Everything you need was included. We didn't use the tv but appreciated the option. We would definitely stay again - this was a great fit for our needs and the hosts were very friendly and responsive. We weren't familiar with the area and had seen some information about the area being rough or unsafe; however, I think this was an over exaggeration (perhaps people who aren't used to big cities). We did not feel unsafe at any point and felt very comfortable during the day. I'll make a note for anyone for whom accessibility is a priority: check the accessibility of the subway stations before making your choice - not all have elevators and/or escalators and Beaudry is a steep climb compared to most. Everything was great - I'll just make a note to bring a sweater if you run cold, as the thermostat is not adjustable. That said, it will be a perfect space for summer as there were two A/C's available has we needed them. The sofa was not very comfortable if that's important to you - but the bed made up for it!

On peut aussi rejoindre le centre ville à pieds par la rue Ste Catherine qui est juste à côté. Nombreux commerces autour du logement ce qui est appréciable. Logement idéal pour 4, un peu juste au delà. Le lave linge et sèche linge super pratiques, douche top qui fonctionne très bien. 2 chambres fermées et individuelles. Hôte réactif quand on a un soucis (merci beaucoup). Cuisine vétuste qui mériterait d'être refaite. Mauvaise odeur dans le logement et bruits d'animal (souris?) qui gratte dans le mur côté porte d'entrée. Les voisins du dessus (je pense un autre logement loué aussi) très bruyants, qui parlent comme en plein jour à 2h du mat et cognent les chaises, claquent les portes...

This property is completely misrepresented on Booking and should not be listed in its current condition. The apartment was in extremely poor shape, clearly neglected, and nothing like the photos or description. The issues were serious and made the place uninhabitable: - The floor was visibly slanted, giving the entire apartment an unstable and unsafe feeling. - We heard clear noises of mice, which is simply unacceptable. - The level of cleanliness and maintenance was appalling. - Despite booking for three guests, there was no proper third bed. - The balcony was unsafe and potentially dangerous. - The stairs were never properly disclosed. To make matters worse, the property is located in a run-down, unsafe, and frankly intimidating neighborhood, completely inconsistent with what was suggested in the listing. We left within minutes of arriving, without using anything, as staying there was simply not an option. This is not a matter of small inconveniences but a clear and serious case of misrepresentation. I strongly urge Booking to review this listing, and I advise other travelers to avoid this property at all costs.

There was water already prepared and cookware already waiting. There was a lot of shops nearby with amazing food options The gate was difficult to open at times even with the key. Sometimes it took a few turns to open. It was difficult to see the gate in the evening without lighting. The cleanness could be better and there was an odd smell coming from the bathroom.

• Nathan (10/5): Quiet charm nestled inside my favorite hot spot in the city - I loved how close it was to the village, the metro station was my launching pad to see and do elsewhere in the city. The host was attentive just enough, and left me feeling like I was safe in case something came up. The bed was cozy and it was nice that I could customize the thermostat in each room for my comfort. It's quiet when you need it, and charming enough to suit me, I'd come back in a flash! Thank you It could use a little aroma therapy, but that could be tricky, so bring your own brand to feel like home.

• Phil (6/5): Very excited to get home so I can sleep, since I have barely gotten a few hours the last 3 nights, but great location. - The location Wonky. They only provided 1 towel per person for a 3 night stay. No wash clothes. The bathroom door is a frosted glass, and the bed is right outside the bathroom, so if someone needed to use the bathroom at night, the light from the bathroom shines right onto the bed. The toilet paper holder was broken, but still attached to the wall, and they provided a stand alone toilet paper holder next to the toilet. There was no shelf in the shower so our soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and razors were on the floor of the shower. The stove was broken, they had tape on the two right burner knobs to prevent you from moving them. There is no light in the entryway, so be sure to use a flashlight if entering after dark. There was also no closet to use, so our clothes sat in our bags the whole time. The patio was scary. It looked and felt like you could fall through the floor. Our biggest complaint is the bed. I know everyone had preferences on firmness, but this bed was extremely firm. The bed frame was also loose and very squeaky. To the point where my partner and I were constantly waking one another up in the middle of the night, from just rolling over on our other side/adjusting our position. The couch was no better. It has a pull out, so it could be slept on, but the pull out part was separated from the couch and the edges of the couch were very hard. Uncomfortable to sit on unless you fit on just the one cushion without your legs hanging off the side.

Certaines moyennes et sont bleues-vert Très dégoûtante et il y'en avait énormément. Quand vous en tuez une, il ya 3 qui la remplacent et on ne sait pas d'où elles viennent, par où elles rentrent. Meme si on s'assure de tout fermer. Apparemment l'appartement est propre mais les mouchent doivent laisser leurs oeufs partout. Je suis restées environ 2 heures, je me suis faite une salade et me suis assurée de tout remettre tout de suite dans le réfrigérateur. Jen'ai utilisé que le réfrigérateur et la table. J'ai appelé le ou la propriétaire, j'ai laissé un message. j'ai expliqué la situation et dit que je quitte le logement et je veux un remboursement ou au moins d'un certain pourcentage. Personne ne répondait. J'ai rappelé dans la soirée et aucune réponse. L'appartement était au rez-de-chaussée et les poubelles à côté étaient fermée. Mais les mouches continuaient tout le temps d'être de plus en plus nombreuses. C'est une situation insalubre pour manger se reposer ou dormir. J'ai quitté et je suis allée prendre une chambre à l'hôtel. Donc j'ai réparé pour 2 nuits. C'était un cauchemar à tout point de vue. J'ai eu un email après 2 jours, où on me dit que si j'avais laissé un montant en garantie, celui-ci me serait re.boursé. message très impersonnel, sans doute automatisé, et aucune excuse, aucune explication, aucune relation humaine. Ce logement ne devrait pas être sujet à être loué tant que ce problème existe. C'est invivable.

Je trouve que ce genre d'actions manque de respect envers les consommateurs. Il n'y a pas de place pour garer les véhicules.

Vous êtes à 20 min de la rue Sainte Catherine et du vieux port très beaux endroit à voir pour une balade de fin de soirée à voir ! le quartier et également super très joli et tranquille ! Légers problèmes avec le wifi mais rien de grave !

• Sooah (9/5): Cozy stay - The place was a good size for 2 people, short trip! Location was nice, close to downtown. Very clean and all prepared for stay. Nothing!

• benoit (8/5): - appartement joli, propre et bien équipé. Tout le nécessaire était sur place pour passer un bon séjour. les places de parking sont chères et un peu éloignées de l’appartement. Attention le week-end, il y a des boîtes de nuit à proximité : les vendredis et samedis, il est difficile de dormir sans les bouchons d’oreilles (heureusement fournis par les propriétaires).

• Ryan (1/5): A nightmare - the worst accommadation experience I have had in all my travels - Nothing. We had an awful stay at this property. This is an insecure property - the unit is accessed via door codes that are shared with the neighboring units. When we awoke after our second night, we found an unknown man sleeping in the living room. While this would be alarming in any case, it's even more alarming given the nature of the area this unit is situated in - Rue Montcalm is home to homeless folks who we saw doing drugs just feet from the front entrance. It turns out this guy was completely out of it and used the door code which he got from his friends staying in the other unit to somehow enter ours. There's a deadbolt which we did lock but I guess it failed to fully enter the wall and lock correctly - and good luck using the deadbolt to protect your belongings when you're away from the unit. Following this incident, we immediately contacted the host and found alternative accommodation for ourselves as we no longer felt comfortable staying in the unit. The host has avoided taking any responsibility for the incident, and has yet to firmly offer any compensation. We were hoping for a refund of our final night which we spent in a hotel as we no longer felt safe in the unit.
