Guest Reviews
- Donna (8/5): Near beach, great views and size - Great location, big apartment, well equipped Parking was an issue as long weekend and very busy with beach goers but found a park within walking distance
- Belinda (8/5): We had a great time. Close to an awesome pizza place and walking distance to the beach. - Very comfortable and great location No off street parking, no air conditioning in kids room, bathroom and toilet doors not working properly
- Ricky (10/5): -
- OConnell (8/5): Very pleasant, clean and secure. - The apartment was bright and airy - lots of doors to the verandah and windows in rooms. Kitchen was great. Location was great Bathroom sliding door would not slide so we had to lift it to close it. The toilet seat was tiny and undersized for the actual toilet.
Lack of parking was constantly an issue due to it being a very busy time of year.
- Heng (10/5): - Good OK
- Linda (8/5): Home away from home. - Being so close to Rainbow beach and Coolongatta Beach, the cafe on the corner 3 minute walk where they made fresh fruit and veggie juice and all your hot drinks, breakfast and lunch take away, quality food. Nice staff and quick service.
In regards to the accommodation, the Air conditioning was perfect. . I had everything I needed to have a comfy stay. I cooked there and appreciated all the white goods. The washing machine/ dryer was the best washing machine. The sheets were comfy. Enjoyed the bath. It is a nice home away from home.
Manager great in keeping in touch with me. Very prompt.
Despite Street parking we always got a park and so did my daughter and my friend. So it wasnt an issue.
Short walk to the beach. A puffing billy but hopefully there isn't that when you visit. I used the air-conditioning because of that and it worked well.
- Steve (10/5): Awesome place to stay in the centre of Tweed Heads - Awesome location and very comfortable unit One nosey neighbour but no real issue. All I. All it was fantastic 👍
- Emma (10/5): -
- Timothy (1/5): Avoid, the place is a dump and they will try to charge you for everything that is broken before you even open the door. -
- Gavin (7/5): Good - Comfortable, spacious and well appointed unit. I hate to be negative, but what could have been great, was let down by a few basic oversights. The lack of a shower curtain was rather messy and annoying, and no door in the ensuite a little odd. There's a television, but no antenna? You normally expect a minimum of one garage space too. Nope! We could've overlooked all of the above, but our biggest disappointment was that only one set of keys were supplied for a unit that sleeps four! This was a definite inconvenience for our three independent festival goers.
- Tracey (7/5): Nice sting. Well appointed but some attention to fix existing issues would complete the comfort of - Location was good. Very nicely appointed There was a problem with the ceiling fans and lights we couldn’t get the remotes to work. We replaced batteries and googled the operation. After several attempts we gave up. This was a real problem with no other lighting sources in both bedrooms.
The bathroom door was stuck in an open position. The curtains were damaged in both bedrooms. As they did not glide properly, we were worried about making them worse. Finally the toilet seat in the bathroom had been replaced with a very badly fitted seat which was quite small and certainly unsuitable
- Vulcik (7/5): Good -
- Barry (9/5): Superb - Location was great. Close to beach and restaurants It was a little noisy in the mornings as there is construction nearby.
- Linda (4/5): Accommodation-disappointi. Location good.. Great breakfast at the top of hill.! - Didn't like collecting the key from a dodgy convenience store. Tv and internet didn't work, not even enough coffee cups for the 4 people who were booked in. After many emails back and forth via the app the only way to communicate with them..let's just say by the time we checked out no one had turned up to sort any of the most basic issues.
- Cassie (1/5): Should be removed from booking.com. Unsuitable accomodation unless Air conditioning is rectified and cleanliness improve - Location was good. Apartment otherwise poorly maintained and disappointing experience. Air conditioning not working and owner knowingly misrepresented this at time of booking. Failed to respond to enquiries and ignored all other communications. Significantly high temperatures in the apartment meant that it was incredibly difficult to sleep and not at all what was represented in all descriptions of the apartment.
Rubbish left in bins, dead bugs on sheets and mould on curtains.
- Karen (5/5): Passable - The location was good. This apartment is on the 5th floor, and the views were lovely.
The beds were comfortable. If you're into geocaching, then this is your place. Getting the keys after a long journey, in the heat, wasn't fun.
When we finally found the keys, we checked in to find the air-conditioning didn't work properly, no cooling apart from the ceiling fans! So humid. It was very uncomfortable.
There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the cupboards, again disappointing.
The main bathroom didn't have a shower curtain, so water went everywhere! Such a falls hazard. Everyone had to use the shower in the ensuite!
The property advertised it had private parking, which translated into street parking, if you're lucky!
The contact person didn't bother to follow up when questioned about the above, so we felt honest feedback was deserved.
- Phil (5/5): Good location but overall disappointing - The location of the property was excellent, making it convenient for getting around.
Check-in was smooth and available at exactly 3pm
The apartment layout was well-suited for our group of three, including two elderly guests, and some of the appliances were new.
Overall, the apartment was clean and tidy (with some exceptions) The air conditioning in the lounge and master bedroom was not working. Looking at previous reviews, this issue had reportedly a month prior. We informed the property owner/manager upon arrival, and while they promised to attempt to address it, no further assistance was provided during our stay. This made it uncomfortable for two elderly guests and given the weather, was a big problem.
Unfortunately, the rubbish from the previous guests had not been removed, which was disappointing. Given the heat, it was quite smelly.
There were also issues with the fans. Two of the remotes were broken and left in pieces on the table when we arrived. We managed to get one fan working but found this frustrating and disappointing - especially as there was no air conditioning.
Visitor parking spaces were unavailable throughout our stay and we did not have access to a key for the garage if that was an option.
Beds in 2nd bedroom weren't particularly comfortable.
The apartment is fitted with a remote monitoring device (as most rental properties are). This isn't a big deal if you are following the rules - no smoking, parties etc. However, on most booking platforms it is a requirement to let guests know if there are surveillance devices being used to monitor them during their stay. Personally I think it's just courteous to let guests know if you are going to potentially track when they go to bed and get up! Curiously it also records air conditioning, so no excuse for it not working.
