• joelle (4/5): Chambre pour fumeur et salle de bain malpropre. - Il a fallu plusieurs reprises soit 3 messages, avant d’avoir réponse à nos questions ,le propriétaire nous a bien expliqué comment avoir accès à la chambre avec l’aide d’un vidéo,une chance car assez compliqué,heureusement nous sommes arrivés avant la fermeture du café,ce qui a grandement facilité la tâche.La chambre etait comme la photo la montrait et nous avions été averti que c’était bruyant.Il y avait de bonnes commodité dans la chambre,comme prévu. La salle de bain etait vraiment médiocre,mal propre,plein de moisissures,le bain etait très sale,la toilette espace restreint presque pas accessible.L’acces , les escaliers pour se rendre à la chambre,très étroit et très sale.Le mode de paiement cash sur place assez particulier sans reçu.Le pire de tout ça SENTAIT la CIGARETTE et nous sommes non fumeur,très désagréable.

• George (7/5): Great location and value for money. Nicely decorated flat. - Brilliant location close to Old Quarter and other tourist spots. Spacious flat with a bath. Decorated nicely. Very helpful and attentive host. Provided earplugs as the road is noisy outside which is a thoughtful gesture and it didn’t bother me. Would be beneficial to provide 1/2 bottled water. The entrance to the apartment building is through a cafe or through a gate when cafe is closed so it’s not a very private entrance/exit, however staff at cafe very friendly and respectful of privacy. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (hairs)
• Domenico (6/5): Good position but not very comfortable - Good position near the old town. The room is pretty big. The room is a bit noisy because the window glass is quite tiny. The bed has a slim mattress that makes the surface quite hard. The entrance method from the street could be uncomfortable

• Miamckella (9/5): Nice location, earplugs needed. - Very nice location and a beautiful apartment. Good communication. Good value for money. The bed is rock-hard, so if you're not used to sleeping on a very hard bed, you will feel it in your back in the morning. Earplugs are provided, and they really are a must. The traffic below with constant beeping and horning go 24/7, and there is a speaker right below providing loud political views before 7 am.

• Chang (1/5): Discussing place all the way around - These rating is out of 10 points I wasn’t feeling well so we just decided to stay instead of finding a suitable place. Location 4-in old town but right next to highway, all night long you will hear traffic like there is no window. Cleaning 1- mold is covered in the bathroom. Disgusting. Bedroom 2-spacious but 3 inch rock hard mattress made us sour bodies. No recommendations to anybody. Even backpackers. wasn’t feeling well so we just decided to stay instead of finding a suitable place. Location 4-in old town but right next to highway, all night long you will hear traffic like there is no window. Cleaning 1- mold is covered in the bathroom. Disgusting. • Manuela (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay in this apartment exceeded our expectations. The photos in the listing perfectly match what you find when you walk through the door. We thought it might be a bit noisy, but we didn’t even need to use the earplugs they provided. The location is excellent. Both check-in and check-out were self-service and incredibly easy. The toilet seat was broken on arrival, the plug in the sink was very awkward. The bed was extremely hard & was a bit strange entering via the cafe next door who blocked the alternative entrance with their extra chairs and tables.

• Carrie (10/5): Bright centrally-located studio apartment - We stayed here twice with one night in between, and it was just as clean the second time as it was the first. The owner sent a helpful video detailing how to get into the building and was responsive by WhatsApp. The studio apartment had everything we needed for a few nights and was centrally located in the Old Quarter. Not surprisingly, there was a good bit of traffic noise from the street, but I mean...this is Hanoi, so that's to be expected.
• Bianca (8/5): Cosy homestay! - Great location and very reasonably priced. Communication with the host was also very easy. The room was a good size and very tidy. The bathroom had mould and smelt very mouldy too
• Brenda (3/5): This was a very disappointing stay, specially being the first one for us in Vietnam. - We arrived to self-check in at 1400hrs and the room was in a terrible state. I messaged the host to ask if the room would be cleaned and he claimed the cleaner was running late because of the rain only to find out they were in the building all along. We went upstairs (as we were waiting in the cafe downstairs) at 1500hrs and they had not even started cleaning the room so we had to sit there while they did. The bed sheets were not changed, there were hairs in the black carpet by the bed which was also very dirty and you could feel this while walked on it bare foot. There was no hot water and there were hairs in the shower! We considered leaving the room but we were so tired that we decided to stay (as we arrived to Hanoi at 7am and had been walking wound with our bags since). The fridge does not work. And if you’re not used to sleeping with noise, you will struggle.
• Loan (10/5): I fully enjoyed my stay and will be back again next time I am in Hanoi. - Cuong's place is a clean, tidy, bright, safe, and convenient base for you to explore Hanoi, right in the busy old quarter area. I loved the room's big window and how easy it was to get from/to the airport by bus. Cuong himself was very friendly, helpful and responsive. A renovation of the bathroom and toilet would add more value to the place.
