Nadia (9/5): A gem! - Smooth check-in procedure & communication with the owner. Excellent location, close to shops and restaurants. The apartment is spacious with lots of light and a good layout. I liked everything! I’ve a few suggestions though: •a bin in the bathroom •a towel hook in the toilet •more cupboard space for clothing •*a change of linen & towels for longer stay* • fix the broken bathroom heater •fix the door of the apartment, and the front door of the building •the sofa upholstery can do with a wash/clean.

Ine (6/5): Good apartment, no service - Good location, comfortable apartment. We stayed for 2 weeks but we only got supplies for 2 days. The apartment doesn't get cleaned at all. We didn't get new towels or dishwashing tablets so we had to buy those ourselves, there is also no way to wash any clothes or towels available at the location. There is no way to sort the trash, they don't provide bags for the trash bins unless asked and even then it was as if we were asking too much. The staff that came to bring the new bags barely spoke any Dutch or English. The freedom of being able to cook your own food is nice, but without cleaning amenities it becomes a problem rather quickly. The shared staircase also got rather dirty while we were there. There was a vacuum cleaner but it didn't really function properly, resulting in a floor that was not very clean towards the end of the stay. The dishwasher doesn't open properly unless you pull out the bottom of the cabinet it is in. As others have mentioned, there are no curtains for the living room so there isn't a lot of privacy. It all looks very nice and modern but the service can use some work, it's like the minimum effort is put in to clean it before the stay but after that you're on your own.

Alejandrina (5/5): - The apartment has no privacy, the windows are uncovered. The neighbors across the street can see you because there is no curtain to cover the windows. I chose one apartment and they put me in another.
Paul (7/5): Heerlijk centrale plek maar er wordt niet genoeg zorg aan besteed. - De ligging, goed bed. Geen matrasbeschermer, algemene voordeur slot dit los. Geen trapleuningen bij stijle trappen, closetrolhouder komt van de muur. Weinig soorten glaswerk, alleen grote mokken. Ramen erg vies. Ongezellig fel licht in woonkamer en geen gordijnen.

Michel (8/5): - De ligging. Midden in het centrum. Vlakbij alle bezienswaardigheden Appartement was prima, maar niet helemaal af. Wat karig meubilair in de woonkamer. Alleen 1 klein laag tweepersoons bankje. Geen gemakkelijke stoel om lekker te zitten. Geen gordijnen. Douchedeur die klemt. Puntjes nog op de i zetten mijns inziens

Lisa (5/5): Mooie locatie, verder verbeterpunten - - De locatie is echt perfect, middenin het gezellige centrum van Mechelen. Alles is op loopafstand. Wat dat betreft een echte aanrader! - het is een ruime woning, en de keuken is goed uitgerust met o.a. veel servies, oven, en vaatwasmachine. - Stabiele wifi. - Er is een buitenruimte en airconditioning, ook al hebben we daar eind oktober geen gebruik van gemaakt. - Incheck is via een sleutelbox, maar deze box stond open bij aankomst en de sleutel was dus voor alle voorbijgangers op straat bereikbaar. - De ruimte kwam onaf over. Er was eigenlijk alleen een bank, een eettafel en een televisie. Het was helemaal niet gezellig gemaakt of "aangekleed". Ook waren er mankementen, de toiletrolhouder hing bijvoorbeeld half-los, en de spiegel stond nog op de grond. Voor ruim 150 euro per nacht zou ik wel iets meer verwachten. - Het was niet zo goed schoongemaakt: een gebruikte tissue op tafel, snoepverpakkingen achter de bank, een mok op het terras, en lange zwarte haren op de bank en in de keukenkastjes. - Ik zou graag wat meer basisbenodigdheden zien, zoals handzeep en haakjes voor handdoeken in het toilet. - Voor twee van de drie gasten waren de bedden oncomfortabel.

Andras (10/5): Perfect appartment for 4 people in a great central location. - Perfect central location to explore Mechelen. The appartment was clean and spacious. Coffe and tea was provided, basic spices also available. Outside space is a great add, Overall great appartment in a great location, many small details added, like additional blanket or toiletry (shampon, shower gel) that made our stay more comfortable. Thank you!

Renaat (2/5): Stingy people, hiding important defects, lying, no empathy. Never again. BookingCom: disappointing. - 1. it was 6 extremely narrow stairs up !! With my big travel bag and my handicap almost impossible to do ! And the elevator, not working ? No, there IS NO elevator. Why does their booking.com page not mention this ??? I would never have taken it ! 2. It was an OVEN ! The whole week was so hot with that big top-to-floor window and full sun on it, it was unbearable. I was unable to do any work on my laptop so I had to pay for another place to stay there. I ended up booking ADDITIONALLY in NH Hotel several days to sleep some of the nights a bit. 3. I tried to contact them 4 times via booking.com chat, so I have a trace of our conversations, but the DAMN booking.com site was down the whole day. 4. The coffee machine broke. I finally found a whatsapp number of them, and contacted them directly for a repair. They said it would take time. I suggested I buy the same I saw it for 90€ in Coolblue and they agreed to pay me back. After I did so and sent the picture of the machine and the Coolblue link, then someone else of their company contacted me and refused to pay back. What a disappointment they are. I still left both old and new machine in the place for the next one coming after me. 5. One day later, I tried AGAIN via booking.com. The damn booking.com site was again the whole day down !!! 6. On my last day I needed to leave later (I can’t do this travel logistics in the morning due to my handicap). I asked them if I could do so and they bluntly refused. Only when I was back home I discovered that I had already paid them the extra day at booking time (my memory no more so sharp, I had forgotten). Booking.com’s terrible IT - far below acceptable uptime, hanging interface, overcomplicated buggy authentication - worsened things even more. They seem to compete for “most customer-hating IT department of the year”. Conclusion: stingy people, hiding important defects, total lack of empathy. Never going there again. Booking.com: what a disappointment.

Wim (8/5): Very good - Clean and roomy. Excellent location. Quiet. For a long stay (2 weeks) the amenities (toweks, soap, garbage, cleaning) was a bit minimal. The rooms were on the third floor without elevator via a narrow and steep staircase.

Mykhaylo (9/5): Spacious apartment in the city centre - The location is super. The centre of the city. Within walking distance to both stations of Mechelen. Very convenient transport links to Brussels, Antwerp, etc. The apartment is equipped with everything you need to stay for any period. Good heating system. There was no washing machine. I had to buy soap, toilet paper (I found 1.5 rolls) and garbage bags (I found 1 in a bucket)
