- Sheila (2/5): It was bad. - Location was convenient for our needs. We left a day early. This property shouldn’t be occupied in the summer. It’s miserable when the temperatures soar because there’s only one portable AC in the main bedroom. The windows are old and off-balance so they don’t stay open to take advantage of the evening breeze. If you manage to prop the windows open with furniture, there are no screens on the windows (or doors), so flies and mosquitoes get in. Plus we had to make sure our dog didn’t climb out of the propped-open, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. That situation wouldn’t be safe for small children. The “backyard” is a strip of mud and gravel. The property looked good in the photos but ended being up a huge disappointment and a rip off for what the hosts are charging for a night’s stay.
