Guest Reviews
- Sofie (1/5): Difficult, unprofessional and took away from our first time experience in Sydney. - Close to city Extremely disappointed with our stay. The Airbnb was dirty on arrival and clearly had not been cleaned properly after the previous guests. This delayed us and caused us to be late for our dinner plans. We were promised a refund of the cleaning fee, but when we followed up, staff spoke to us extremely rudely and even hung up the phone. Very unprofessional service and not the experience we expected at all.
- Genís (3/5): - Sescoltava el semafor, estava brut, baixa atenció.
- James (8/5): - Good location, good amenities and clean. Full kitchen was a bonus. Comfy couch! It was fairly noisy as it’s located on a very busy road. Felt a little bit vulnerable, the security screen door didn’t lock. Also the security roller doors over the windows didn’t work. But luckily it’s a safe enough neighbourhood.
- Alexandre (8/5): - Bel appartement, propre, bon wifi, laveuse disponible.
- Connor (1/5): -
- Lynette (4/5): - It was close to most things which was very handy when walking to most attractions and restaurants It was dirty and hot fans didn’t do much and couldn’t open windows for some air.
- Ahilash Abby (10/5): Well organised place. Will stay again - Easy access and communication. Tidy and clean. NA
- Veronica (6/5): Cute apartment really well located but noisy and soft bed - Big Smart TV and sofa. Excellent location close to the center and bus and underground. You can walk all the city. Noisy, access directly from street, uncomfortable soft bed, few cleaning items, not really clean (windows, cutlery, fire extinguisher)

- Sarah (1/5): - The property does not match the pictures, it is extremely dark inside during the day, and is poorly maintained. The property was dirty - we found hairs in the shower, a used razor was left behind, and there was thick dust on the TV unit. I had to go through plates to find a clean one as they were all dirty.
The blind was broken, which meant we had to sleep with street lights blaring in. I reached out to the property to ask to have this fixed, and they said they’d send a technician out. The blind was never fixed, and we never received a follow up nor an apology. While it has a good location, it’s disappointing that we paid $820 for 3 nights in somewhere that was less pleasant than a hostel. The street noise is also beyond loud, and due to being at a poorly designed intersection you hear constant blaring horns at all hours. We didn’t have a good nights sleep here on account of the light and noise, and I expect a follow up from the property.
- Mel (10/5): - Location, facilities.
- Maggie (9/5): Convenient and Easy! - What a great spot to stay when in Sydney! Easy walk to Circular Quay and right next to a coffee house for an easy breakfast option if you don't want to cook. Kitchen had all we needed and the place was the perfect size for the two of us. Only thing missing was a broom for sweeping the floor.
- Angela (9/5): The apartment was in an ideal spot for walking to the botanical gardens, art gallery and harbour. - Absolutely spotless There was nothing to dislike
- Lowrey (10/5): -
- Elinor (8/5): - Central good location. Good communication Quite a lot of traffic noise .
- Steven (4/5): - Near the centre. The bathroom was so small that we had to change in the kitchen
- Paula (1/5): Dank, dark and cold NOT 'cute and cosy' - We felt that the photographs & title " Cute & Cosy" were very misleading. It was dank, dark, cold and smelly on arrival despite ceiling fans going. We didn't expect to find bars on all the windows and prison like shutters on the windows on the inside ( however as the night wore on we saw the need for these although they did little to block noise). The curtains did not fit any of the windows and did not keep in any heat. We had to use both the fan heater & oil column heater to keep warm.
We needed to call the contact number to gain access on arrival as the instructions given were useless and we were only given the exact address un 13/128 Cathedral on the day....there was no security box behind the "unlockable" security door as advised. After an apology on the call for incorrect access info we were able to locate the security lock on one of the barred windows and gain access. Given there is no lock on the security door, which is only metres from traffic lights, and there is only a push button door handle lock on a basic wooden door we did not feel secure particularly as it got dark & pedestrian traffic increased considerably. The noise from the tunnel, traffic & pedestrians was deafening...including the bip bip bip of the traffic lights all night which felt like it was in the apartment.. The quietest room was the toilet which we couldn't block off properly.
The apartment was quite dirty, marks on lounge, mould in bathroom & broken tiles, marks on bench near kitchen sink, overloaded power points which were a hazard in lounge & bedroom. The concertina bathroom door next to the kitchen & kitchen sink (with no plug) did not close or lock properly so was very unhygienic. The coffee provided was old & solid in the jar & did not move, we needed to buy our own as we were not going to even try theirs.
The bed had an east to west ridge in it & was uncomfortable.
- Familie (4/5): “Sleepless 💤 in Woolloomooloo” - We booked Cute & Cosy for two night and unfortunately had to leave after one night due to the extreme noise levels. The noise from the nearby M1 motorway and the pedestrian crossing signals right outside the front door was absolutely overwhelming. To make things worse, there was loud music and shouting in the evening, and at 5:30 in the morning someone was yelling 📢 outside our door — it honestly felt like they were standing next to our bed. While the apartment itself is small — especially the bathroom, which is very compact. There was a noticeable musty smell upon arrival, which lingered throughout our stay. It also looks rather worn in places. That said, it was reasonably clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. The bed, while quite narrow (approximately 140–150 cm wide), was spotless and came with fresh, comfortable linen. Wifi was fast! If you’re not sensitive to heavy traffic noise and city sounds, this might still be a suitable stay for you. But for us, the experience was too disruptive. We simply couldn’t manage more than one night.
- Stuart (7/5): Good - Good location. Nearby pub and supermarket. Traffic noise. Bed not too comfortable.
- Daniel (8/5): As per the name, it is cute and cosy and comfortable - The place was in line with Thea’s and very comfortable
The couch and sitting area was a good size and the wifi reception strong The place is in a good location, close to public transport.
The only downside was it is beside traffic lights so you can hear the beeping for the lights and people talking while waiting
Not a big deal but noticable
- Bardos (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect close to the center, opera, shops. clear entrance instructions, the owner extremely helpful with any problem.
- Hans (7/5): Convenient location - Great, central location to explore the different area's of the city..... Spacious apartment. * traffic noice
* mattress to soft
* could have been cleaner
- Sarah (6/5): Convenient location for city stop - The apartment had everything you needed and the coffee shop opposite was excellent. Quieter neighbourhood than in main centre. Located next to a main road and the crossing beeping all the time made it very noisy
- Montse (5/5): Acceptable - Nobody in person, nor a phone number to contact. We had some trouble with luggage but nobody to ask for leaving the luggage until time of check-in. The same on departure date; our flight was at 9 pm and we had to carry our staff the whole day. Dryer machine did not work, and we only knew when washing machine was ready, so we had to look for a place to dry our clothing.
In general, the apartment was not very clean.
- Carmel (8/5): Very good - The flat was a good size for a short-term rental.
Regrettably the drier was not functioning, the microwave was too complicated to use and there was no plug for the sink.
- Scott (8/5): Very good - Great space, very comfortable, all necessary facilities, and very smooth communication with the owners. Comfy bed and lounge, good fans, and complimentary gecko. The only issue is the busy road outside, however I found that the traffic died down by around 11 pm, so it was not that great an issue.apart from putting in double glazing on the windows there's probably not a lot that could be done about this. I did use earplugs one night.
- Karlena (7/5): Good - If you're looking for somewhere to rest after a busy day exploring this is ideal. The location is great and is walking distance from harbour and beautiful botanical gardens. The flat is nicely decorated and has all the basics you need. Bed was firm but comfortable with nice linen. Great coffee shop directly opposite. The bathroom and shower are tiny, there isn't a lot of room to move. The inner city intersection location means it is noisy and without double glazing if you're a light sleeper you will definitely need ear plugs. The photos make it seem light and airy but we found it quite dark and lacking in natural light but no issue as we were out exploring during the day. As long as you aren't expecting luxury accomodation for a romantic weekend away it's perfectly fine especially given the great location.
- Robyn (8/5): Good location, everything provided - Location was very good, bed was comfy. Every thing you need for a couple of days stay. We were worried about road noise but once we closed the shutters it didn't bother us at all. Nothing
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Great location in terms of things to do, walking distance to Woolloomooloo wharf and Oxford St A little loud at night because of location, but shutters helped.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - I liked how it was set up I didn't like that the screen door didn't lock from the In side
- Fernanda (3/5): Disappointing - The property was close to the city center The house was super dirty! Kitchen full of stuff, with crumbles everywhere, the appliances were disgusting so we use nothing. We have to wash everything before use it.
The noisy during the day, but specially in the night was super uncomfortable.
The living room was full of dust, even with cob dust.
The shower was moldy, really disgusting to have a shower there, specially the ceiling where we’re more moldy.
- Casey (5/5): Passable - The location was convenient and we had a whole apartment to ourselves which was nice One of the staff members who managed the property was incredibly rude and absused me over the phone. The noise from the M1 is quite dominant at night so if you're a light sleeper, not a great place to stay. There is no fire alarm and the shower is quite cramped and small.
- Nasihah (9/5): Superb -
- Liam (10/5): Absolutely fantastic. The experience was second to none. -
