Guest Reviews
- Natalie (7/5): -
- Alison (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again in the future - Very central to everything an easy walk.Comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Nothing
- Ruarrii (1/5): Don’t even bother - The location would have been excellent. I never got inside it. Due to very poor communication and very poor organisation from the property manager there was no key available at or near the property. There was also no parking available near the alleged key pick up point so while waiting for a response I had to pay to park in the shopping centre across the road. I was then advised the key was still 20 minutes away. When I expressed my reasonable irritation, the manager suggested I find alternative accommodation, so I did. To compound the situation, there was another group in the same situation as me at the same time, who having Uber’d to the location were told their key was to be collected in another suburb.
- Lesley (10/5): Always the only place we would choose to stay in Canberra! - Clean, exceptionally well equipped, very, very comfortable and excellent location. Will always stay here when visiting Canberra. Nothing to criticize. Communications, especially with Brandon, excellent. Nothing. All perfect. Great to be able to talk to Brandon too.
- Anthony (9/5): Extremely comfortable and spacious unit! - Very comfortable amenities, spacious and easy to deal with the host There was quite a strong cleaning product smell when I first arrived. It could have been aired out
- John (8/5): Review the checkin process before arrival. Apartment is fine, once you're in. - Great location, clean, quiet and well equipped. Good 5G Wi-Fi. Comfortable bed, hot shower. It is essential to make contact with the manager before arriving. Ask for the email which provides details for key pickup and car parking. Otherwise checkin for Booking.com guests needs review. Routine instructions through the Booking.com system are inadequate and unhelpful.
- Ross (5/5): If you aren’t driving, a really good B&B unit. - A good comfy unit, close to the CBD. The parking was extremely difficult- hard to find the one entrance for 3 buildings, location of the unit key from a storage locker was not easy, and finding the actual underground car spot for the unit took some time. Overall, from locating the unit key to finally parking my vehicle took over 45 minutes! This included 3 phone calls for assistance- there is not a reception desk! Very frustrating & time consuming! Better communication with client is needed!
- Chris (8/5): -
- Martin (10/5): Great apartment, would definitely stay again - It was extremely comfortable, and we appreciated it being dark and quiet. The location was fantastic It was hard to locate the lock box
- Ramon (9/5): Enjoyed my stay in Canberra in a flat that suited our needs well. - Location was great for a city stay Getting the key was complicated and ended up involving a call to the host. The method of communicating the location of the key lead to not understanding what needed to be done (in a different building on a separate street, behind another flat's front gate in a shed, in a key lock). A photo of the flat was sent in a message, however the critical information on getting the key was not in what seemed to be just the one picture but various pictures in and consequently missed. There has to be a more fool proof way of doing it.
- Amanda (10/5): Highly recommended - The apartment was great. There was heaps of space and the kitchen was very well-equipped. It was really handy having a washing machine as well. The process to pick up the keys and access the apartment was very complicated but detailed instructions were provided. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. There was no available street parking that we could use temporarily while we picked up the keys, so we had to park illegally in a permit-only area. There was some road noise.
- Geoffrey (2/5): Not the best place to stay if you have a car and need advice about getting around Canberra. - Getting keys was difficult. Wifi didin't work. No face to face contact. Expecting contact via txt, didn't look at email during trip.
- Karen (8/5): Was lovely with a few problems - The location was excellent. Very close to shops and restaurants and not far from the main sites of Canberra TV in lounge not working properly and could not watch TV in bedroom at all as no remote. Wifi kept dropping out
- Jill (9/5): We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much and would certainly rebook should we return to Canberra - You can't beat the location. We stayed for 3 nights and found the apartment to be well appointed with an ample supply of coffee, tea, condiments and filtered water in the fridge. The apartment in general is very well appointed located on the 3rd floor. The bed was very comfortable. It is located across the road from a park, shopping centre and restaurants. Hosts provide a very detailed self check in procedure for key collection and the use of the secure underground car park. We found them to be very friendly and helpful. Nothing
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Location The check in process was a little convoluted. However the host was helpful to work through these.
- Rosalie (8/5): Very good -
- Haloti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (7/5): Good location - The location was excellent. Very close to major shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable. Milk and coffee was great. Washing machine and dryer good to have. Dishwasher, washing machine tablets handy. The unit is small with big furniture. Lots of extras were thought of. The couch is very hard not comfortable to sit on. The electric blinds were a nightmare. Several were damaged. We were a bit afraid to use them .
Finding the key and negotiating the carpark was tricky at first. I also thought the cleaners could do a better job. Eg hair in the shower and it seemed the bottom sheet had not been changed. There was a clean sheet so I used that.
- Belinda (7/5): Good -
- Anne (8/5): Great location for a city break - Comfy, good location and free parking Electric blinds and poor WiFi
- Lesley (10/5): Unbelievably great. Best accommodation around!
Wonderful location. - Incredibly well and expensively equipped. Very stylish and comfortable. Slept very well in excellent bed. So thoughtfully provisioned e.g varieties of milk and tea, capsules for the Nespresso machine, shampoo, conditioner etc etc.. Cannot be faulted. Will recommend to everyone. Arrived in a downpour and got soaked finding the key locker. Directions for this need improvement. A passer by helped me find the key locker.
- Lachlan (10/5): Very enjoyable, thank you! - Place was very nice, especially for the price and location. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Would stay again. Nil
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): Good for a visit to Canberra - Great location , comfortable, has everything needed for a visit to Canberra. Good clear instructions about the key and the car parking. Car slot is opposite the lift whihc makes life very easy. Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- June (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Comfortable, clean apartment with lovely view of trees - Excellent position with a beautiful view of trees. Everything you need . Great communication with the owner. Comfortable, clean and modern apartment.
- Fran (8/5): Very good - location difficulty getting stove to work
need instructions to operate
should be a lightweight blanket, not everyone likes doonas
- Moore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): A very accommodating host and well presented apartment with all the facilities for our stay - Location was excellent
- Jenny (10/5): Holiday - Basically everything, location was great and car spot was right in front of lift. Couldn't really say anything but if must I suppose not having any tea bags or just a little milk to start with but no big deal.
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful so close to city No staff was a tiny bit confused about where to park but worked it out
- Lin (9/5): Metropol 3 comfortable luxury. - The apartment's location is excellent. It is across the road from the Canberra Centre, and Canberra Theatre is an easy walk along Akuna St. The hosts have thought about their guests and offer some pantry staples. Love the Nespresso machine. The bed is really comfortable.
Free parking opposite the lift is a real bonus. The electric blinds are really slow to raise and lower and blind 2 is still broken.
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Great central Canberra location. - Great central location with secure parking Key access for entry after dark is a bit awkward
- Lin (10/5): Metropol3 is is comfortable luxury in a great location - The location is perfect. It is easy to access and very well presented. The owners take care to ensure guests have the best experience possible.
The owner's communications and instructions are clear. I discussed a minor issue with the owner directly. There is some road noise if the balcony door is open.
- Julian (9/5): a wonderfully appointed - This was a very well appointed apartment in the heart of Canberra. Very quiet, modern and had everything you could ask for. The key retrieval was a little complex, and compounded by not having the keycode sent ahead; however the host was quickly responsive and went out of their way to assist.
- Kelly (5/5): Nice apartment hard to get into - Close to royal theatre convention centre. We where able to walk there Keys need to be collected and returned from a locked box from another’s building up the road. Car park entrance confusing requiring indebt instructions and many hoops to jump though. Check in not to 3pm
- Christopher (8/5): Spacious, comfortable apartment in a convenient location - Spacious and comfortable apartment with lovely outlook and a very convenient location. Complicated procedure for key pickup and drop off which involves quite a bit of walking. Basement parking is also very complicated and directions were incomplete .
- Antoinette (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent across from Canberra Central shopping centre. Amenities in the apartment were good. A very comfortable stay. It was raining when we arrived and finding parking near the building was a challenge as all available parking spaces were full. Walking a block in the rain to get he key from a lock box is not much fun in the rain. Parking instructions were good, found the space but needed to make sure we accessed Metropol 3 from the lifts at the very end of the car park, a little confusing. Otherwise the apartment met all expectations.
- Lia (5/5): Passable - Furniture and location Cleanliness
- Reid (6/5): Pleasant -
- Raza (10/5): Great, modern and clean apartment. - It was easy to collect the keys, instructions on how to collect and get to the property was very easy. I liked the option of phone support by the host. N/A
- Barbara (7/5): A pleasant, well located and equipped apartment, but getting the keys was complicated. - The apartment was quite small but well equipped and comfortable. It was very quiet and had a lovely private outlook on to trees. It was a comfortable walk to the main shopping and eating areas of Canberra. Picking up the keys was difficult. It was quite a long walk from where we were first told to park (opposite Metropol 3) to the apartment in Metropol 1 with the garden shed containing multiple lock boxes. The directions were not clear to us, and we were fortunate the weather was good and it was daylight. At night or in the rain it would have been very unpleasant. We got the keys from the lock box without difficulty, but then had to drive right around the block to the car park entrance opposite Akuna Street. The car park is huge and confusing, but we found the right parking spot down several floors. We then had trouble operating the lift from the ground floor until a resident helped us out. In our apartment, the 'fob' is a round disc, but the one with the keys was purely decorative, and the black rectangular key holder with the blue press buttons turned out to be the 'fob' to operate the lifts.
- Victoria (9/5): An enjoyable experience to explore Canberra. Loved the Chinese restaurant located round 300m from the complex. Generous - Convenient location. Free parking. Well stocked with essentials for a 2 night stay. Nothing
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect :)
- Krystel (9/5): Great stay in Canberra City! - Perfect location, super clean and modern apartment. Excellent facilities, and super safe too as well as quiet despite being very central.
Loved every minute of it. Nothing that I can think of.
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Very modern and comfortable small apartment. Free mystery tours to find the key and find the underground parking spot. All the info is given, but it's a lot to understand and follow. Maybe someone used to living in a modern hi-tech apartment block will find it easier.
- Colin (8/5): Excellent overall. - Location. Clean. The key pickup is a nuisance. Parking and access.
- Keith (8/5): Lovely apartment - rating would improve with some spring cleaning - Excellent location close to the city centre. The property is on the 3rd floor - there are large trees outside so it feels like a tree house - lovely. Bed is very comfortable and we loved the ability to open doors to the veranda to let in fresh air overnight. The kitchen is fully equiped with settings for 6. The window blinds are mechanical and two of them weren't working. The couch covering is cloth and was not particularly clean. The quilt cover and blankets did not feel clean.
- Michelle (7/5): Good - Well presented. Excellent location. Big TV with a big comfy couch. Air con on a hot day. Feels safe and secure. Blinds block out all the light so didn't need an eye mask. Getting/returning the key is inconvenient. If it wasn't for the inconvenience of getting the key (parking and walking up to 20+ min) I'd give it a much higher score. It would be helpful to have extra towels available for swimming.
- Mike (7/5): Once we were able to access the apartment our stay there was good. - The location, once we could get into the property, was good. Apartment facilities were good. The arrangements for picking up the keys were difficult and finding our way to the apartment car park not the easiest. e.g. the prepared flip book with instructions couldn't be accessed in the car park of the building (no internet access). We never received the special code we were meant to receive - which was confirmed to have not been sent! This caused a degree of delay and frustration in trying to pick up the apartment keys.
- Fiona (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely property, comfortable and well located After a massively long day, it was really annoying to have to get back into the car to collect the keys from a location that was on the corner of two streets where cars were not permitted. There were no instructions as to how to access the car part and we ended up parking on the street. Likewise returning the keys was a hassle. We should have read the instructions emailed to us the day before about the keys, but it was not clear when booking and I would not have booked had I known.
- Jen (8/5): Very good -
- Martina (10/5): Exceptional - Coffee machine with almond milk was a great touch
- Geoff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (9/5): Superb - Great location with parking- walking distance to the shops. good helpful instructions to check in and work everything. Very comfortable bed and apartment with everything you need. There wasnt any toilet paper but probably only a minor oversight. Everything else was perfect!
- Ray (9/5): Superb - great location. walk to cbd restuarants
- Sjoukje (8/5): Just a quick stay, couldn't beat the location. - Location was great. Facilities were good. Couch comfortable, good streaming services on the TV. Enjoyed the coffee maker. Secure parking and building. Place where you pick up the keys - hard to find a park to do this, had to park in a loading zone. Process easy though. Could do with double glazed windows, as the traffic noise was really noticeable.
- Saraiyawan (8/5): Very good - Place to collect and drop off the keys
- Anonymous (9/5): The apartment was so clean and we enjoyed our stay. - The view from balcony The aircon was not cool enough as it was only one aircon for the entire apartment.
- Amanda (10/5): Great location - Location, very close to shopping and cultural centres. The room was very clean and comfortable. A bit of a process just to get access ie keys and parking.
The common halls were not air conditioned and were quite uncomfortably warm travelling through.
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Cassie was amazing over the phone when I couldn’t find the correct parking spot. A cool calm patient voice of reason.
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): A delightful place from which to explore Canberra, close to public transport, restaurants, shopping and the places touri - Great location. Comfortable, quiet apartment with everything you need for a short stay. The trees outside the windows and balcony are pretty special. The owner responded quickly and was very helpful with our queries. It was not easy in to pick up and drop off the key with respect to finding the key place in a car with many streets not open to cars and parking the car.
- Graeme (5/5): Not our favourite place to stay - The location was good. The key pickup was not good for anybody by themselves, there was nowhere to park. The parking was a nightmare to find the entry for Metropol 3 as there was no signage, but the maze of gates and levels to find the lift for Metropol 3 once inside the parking AND finding the correct parking number, as the numbered car spaces were not chronological. The flipbook with all the information was good if you are a younger person but if you are technology disadvantaged or had poorer eyesight this flipbook is not for you.
- Lara (10/5): Exceptional -
