• Carlos (1/5): Bad - Only the location I don't even know how to start. I booked 2 rooms there and when I arrived the queen room wasn't available anymore. The receptionist who spoke little English put me in a very damp and smelly room at the very back of the hotel. He said he would move me to the queen room next day, which never happened. I was constantly harassed by all different receptionist asking me to cancel the booking on booking.com so they would not have to pay for the website fee. Even at night when I came back home at night they would try to make me sign some sort of disclaimer. The whole thing was beyond dodgy and I would not reccomended this place at all.
• Ben (7/5): Firm beds - Ac worked well and our large queen room was spacious. Beds are very firm, more firm than any other bed I tried in Vietnam. WiFi hardly worked during our stay. We had a room on the 6th floor and was out of reach of the lobby wifi. Ended up having to use the wifi from the hotel next door. Our shower didn't drain properly and there were small bugs on the nightstand. Despite all the issues our stay was decent and it worked just fine for a last minute booking.

• John (7/5): Good - Great position and very helpful staff. We had a very small windowless room at a very good price. But there is an intermittent hum that would be difficult for light sleepers if you were on the top floor.

• Aiden (5/5): Good location but not a comfortable stay. - The reception staff were fantastic. So kind and helpful, especially Kang. He helped me to find a hairdresser and changed our room so we had a desk to work at. Good location in the centre. Both rooms were cramped and dirty. Someone was smoking on another floor and the fumes were coming through the air vent in the bathroom. This happened in both rooms and we woke up in the night with the taste of smoke in our throats. There was a big issue with cleaning in the rooms, dirt and filth under tables, hairs on bed. In the second room we woke up both nights toan annoying ringing sound outside the room from some mechanical airvent. Three nights in this place and we did not sleep well.

• Carlotta (6/5): Good for a couple of nights - The hotel is really central in the okd town We booked with booking after seeing the picture of the room, the reality was completely different. Our room has no windows and the toilet was very precarious.

• Simon (10/5): Excellent hotel in a central, busy location. - There was a minor issue on arrival which the excellent Manager, Mr. Lucky, dealt with quickly and efficiently and without question. To me that is the sign of a good hotel. I had a big room with a huge window just as I had requested. There is an elevator from the 2nd floor. I couldn't find information for the times of the trains on train street and he phoned and researched the best time and a cafe to sit in so that I could watch 2 trains in a short space of time. Arranging laundry and an airport car was done efficently and cheaply. Mr. Lucky recommended the Museum of Ethnology which I might not have gone to and it was excellent ( the museum is a bit far out so you need a cheap Grab taxi). The hotel is very central to many sights, or just a Grab ride away. It was really good. I knew that it was in a very busy part of the Old Quater so I was prepared.

• Dimitri (9/5): I will say to anyone wanting to stay here that i highly recommend staying at this hotel I was very impressed with Mr luc - very friendly and accommodating receptionist, quite convenient being located in the heart of old quarter, easy to get around from place to place. the showers hot water taking abit longer to heat up at times but nothing to drastic.

• Valentyna (2/5): Would not want to spend a night there again. - I only liked staff in that property! Very nice guys working at that hotel. The room was dirty: floors, walls in the bathroom, sink, shower. I didn’t want to touch anything . Ceilings in the bathroom are molded, I was sneezing because of mold. Bathroom definitely needs a heavy repair! Ventilation is really bad, I smelled cigarettes when someone smoked either in their room or outside.

My room was very clean. I must admit that I had some nasal problems that I had just recovered from, but the room here was very airy so I couldn't get sick.

There was contruction work happening from 7am which was very loud. How this place had a 4 star rating is beggars belief.

Great and helpful staff! - Wild Lotus Hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter and in an area much quieter than most there but still central. The staff I met, both Minh and Quan, were great and very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and convenient. The room I stayed at was on the 3rd floor and in the early morning you can hear noise coming through the stairwell from downstairs. I had to wear earplugs. Upon arrival to hotel room there was no soap or other amenities. Drinking glasses were dirty.
• Corey (3/5): Not worth the price they charge. - The location is good! The rooms are very small and outdated that are dirty. Despite a no smoking sign there was an ashtray in the room and it smelt of cigarette and with no window there was no way to fix this issue. They advertise 24/7 reception however on arrival there was a sign to call a mobile number, this would be a problem if you don’t have a phone to call on. I wouldn’t recommend this accomodation for the price you pay.

The hotel is located in the old quarter of Hanoi, close to many tourist and culinary spots. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. The hotel offered many free services and amenities. I felt satisfied and relaxed. This hotel was a great choice in Hanoi.

The hotel was conveniently located in the old quarter of Hanoi, near the water puppet theater and Hoan Kiem lake. My room was luxurious, cozy and clean. The staff was polite, friendly and professional. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The hotel had many free services and amenities. I was happy and comfortable at the Wild Lotus 2. It was a great 4-star hotel in Hanoi.
