• Michael (10/5): We had an amazing stay at Avalon Blue and staying there meant we could get the most out of Derby. - The house was perfect for what we wanted and needed it to be. It's very close to everything (Trails, Pub, River and shopes etc) and was in perfect working order. Our bikes could be securely locked up each night on location and the deck was the perfect place to refuel after riding. Would highly recommend!

• linda (10/5): Perfect, warm and comfortable stay in Derby - Had everything you need for a great stay plus unexpected extras. Owner for super friendly and helpful. It was great to get our clothes washing done after a week of travelling in more remote camping. Super close to tracks and town Nothing
• Melanie (7/5): - Good location with a short drive to trailhead. Spacious enough and all the basics. We love Derby. No kindling for fire. Road noise through the night from trucks. Appliances are very old. We struggled with the washing machine and dryer after wet and muddy rides. Dishwasher didn't wash properly the last morning, which caused backlog of dishes and complaints by the cleaner despite our efforts to reduce remaining dishes. Phone call by the owner left a bit of a bad taste in our mouth.

• Andrew (10/5): Went to Derby for mountain biking. The house was comfortable and set up, so I could enjoy the biking - Comfy house set up for mountain biking. Lock up area for bikes, clothes washing facilities. Not too far from the trail head. All on 1 level.

• Grant (9/5): Perfect location- well appointed house perfect for the mountain bike trip with mates! - Great communication from host, nice bonus to get into the house from midday. Well stocked kitchen. Very comfortable at the price point. Amazing bike shed. Great BBQ and outdoor deck. Location is right in Derby - so quick to trails and shuttles! Unfortunately toilet is in same room as bathroom and shower so coordinating bodily needs was a bit tricky at times ha ha.

• Kim (10/5): Avalon Blue Stay: The Perfect Base for Derby Mountain Biking - Avalon Blue Stay is an absolute gem for mountain bikers visiting Derby. The location is ideal, providing easy access to the incredible trails. The house itself perfectly captures the spirit of mountain biking, with all the amenities you could ask for. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, which is crucial given Derby's limited dining options. We loved having the ability to cook our own meals after a long day on the trails. The inclusion of an air fryer was a pleasant surprise! The laundry facilities were also a huge plus, allowing us to keep our gear clean and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avalon Blue Stay and highly recommend it to fellow mountain bikers. It was all good, nothing to dislike.
• The (9/5): Mountain bikers dream - Great setup for mountain bikers. Cool nods to the history of Derby's MTB scene with signs from previous EWS teams in the bike shed. Oh yeah it has a specific bike shed. With tools! Warm and cosy. Rustic. Your classic old school holiday home. Easy to find everything. It's not really missing anything.
