• Sydney (10/5): Quiet location for families near transit and shops - We stayed for one week with two kids (3 & 5 years old). This guest house in Sugamo is a great location if you want something off the beaten path but still accessible to the rest of Tokyo and with more space than a hotel. The guest house was a quick walk (5 - 7 minutes) to Sugamo Station which was on the Yamanote Line and Mita Line. There were two playgrounds within a 10 minute walk from the house. The Jizodori shopping street ("grandma's Harajuku") was also a quick walk away and had lots of dining options and convenience stores. We appreciated having access to a washing machine during our stay. The kitchen had a few basic items, but we didn't do much cooking. There was plenty of space for all our stuff and luggage. It was bigger than a hotel room. We still had to be quiet once the kids went to bed as there was just a clear sliding door between the bed area and kitchen table. The host was very responsive and helpful! We had trouble finding the door to get in on our first day there. It's an unmarked door on the side of the building, facing the cemetery. The door handle doesn't turn, so you have to push it a bit. Once we figured out how to access the door, it was easy! Quiet hours (after 8pm) were a bit difficult with two little kids- especially the first day when they were jet lagged. We stayed out as much as possible, which wasn't too hard since there's so much to do in Tokyo.

• Deasy Arfianti (9/5): Convenient stay in Sugamo area - We could leave our luggage earlier, simple cutleries and cooking stuff, tissues, kitchen clothes and cleaning stuffs were well provided. Most important was that the host responded fast to our inquiries. It would be better if the towels came in bigger size and host could provided extra blankets. The bedroom side floor was quite cold, carpet might come useful. Clothes drying machine is much needed during winter time because they didn't dry easily if they were hanged outside. Summer time should be okay.

• Claudia (10/5): Great location, fully equipped apartment - The apartment is graciously decorated and fully furnished, quite big compared to Tokyo standards, and we could find everything we needed and more. The location was great, close to JR station and many restaurants. Check-in and out were easy and we really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!

• Celeste (8/5): - 地緣位置很方便，在JR線上、去日暮里3站(skyliner)，距離地鐵站蠻近，附近也有超商跟超市，也有蠻多吃的，巢鴨商店街很有日本在地氣氛，但我們太晚去逛了，沒逛到什麼有點可惜。 四個28大行李是放得下，還有剩餘空間(兩個全開、兩個上掀)，床蠻好睡，枕頭不是軟趴趴那種，但被子很小我們加了兩條，一人1條被子才剛好(1條￥2000)。 隔音蠻差，走廊有根水管，幾乎是不間斷的都有水流過的聲音，半夜其實在房間內聽的到，會有點吵，外面行人經過聲音也算明顯，是否騎腳踏車也聽得出來。 再來是最後兩個晚上，不知道為什麼會需要重新開關才會有熱水，而且不只一次!

Wir konnten u.a. auch zu Fuß den Rikugi-en Garten erreichen. Und auch sonst waren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Sugamo Station mit der Yamanote Linie in knapp 10 Minuten erreicht. Das es keine Teller gab.

There are plenty of convenience stores, drug stores, restaurants, etc within a short walk. The neighborhood felt safe and while there was some odd debris in the bathroom sink when we arrived, overall the property seemed clean. Kitchen seemed well stocked enough although we didn't end up using it much. - Very few outlets and in inconvenient places - Futons were on a weird stand that was great to trip over/stub your toe into - While we booked this unit in part because it had a laundry machine, it didn't appear to be a unit with drying included and as the unit was on the 1st floor, it didn't feel safe to dry women's underwear out on the line - There was an overwhelming air freshener scent that gave me a headache. - When we arrived the door code we had been given was wrong. Someone showed up quickly when we contacted the host, but it was a bad first impression of the property. - There either wasn't WiFi included or we didn't have the information for it - The unit was not quiet. Someone coughs outside on the sidewalk? It sounds like they're in the room with you. Upstairs neighbor takes a shower? You'll hear it.

The place was also very clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It would be nice if the air conditioning was turned on in preparation for guests.

(8/5): Definitely an Up on this property. - my family really loved the cozy homey feels on this property and everything was pretty much accessible. it was also spacious given that i have kids with me on this trip and it was not too small for them to roam. the station was not far from the property. will definitely book again when we come back. The staff was also really helpful and replies on my queries. they should really work on the heating system though, it can heat the room but only on a certain area. that was the only thing that we have concerns on.

They claim based on their online name that the property is a hotel but in really it is just an apartment and it's away from the city center. We are sad and disappointed.
