- gay (8/5): - The location is great. Fun and interesting area with shops, restaurants and bars. Close to many attractions like Taksim Square Galata Tower and Istiklal Street. Also close to Tophane tram. There are some steep slopes and streets in the area, which may not suit everyone. Check in uses an app called JustIn, which sends a PIN via sms. For overseas travellers using an eSIM getting the PIN may be difficult or expensive. There’s no on-site reception & communication is done by WhatsApp or email. Urban Quarters team member Gülşah was lovely and helpful but this method of communication and check in may not suit everyone

- Pablo (7/5): Buen emplazamiento y habitación amplia, pero ruidosa y sin servicio de limpieza. NO BALCON - Excelente ubicación, habitación grande y cómoda. Calle muy ruidosa, no tuvimos opción de habitación interior, que imagino es menos ruidosa. Aparacen balcones en todas las fotografías, sin embargo la habitación no tenía balcón/terraza que esperábamos tener. No se limpia la habitación en todo el tiempo de estancia (6 días), no se vacían las papeleras ni se recambia el papel del baño.

- Anna (9/5): Cosy stay in a beautiful area - The apartment is located in a very beautiful area. It is very bright and looks modern. We were staying in the room with a spacious bathroom, equipped with essential facilities and fast WiFi. It was quite cold in Istanbul during our stay but the heating was working in the apartment and it had a really cosy and warm feel.

And the host was receptive whenever we had any questions. Sound isolation is a bit bad , you can hear everything in the corridor or from outside the window, but for a short stay it’s bearable.

- Mathilde (9/5): Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement joli, fonctionnel et idéalement situé. - L’emplacement est idéal pour visiter la ville. Le logement est très agréable, confortable et joliment décoré. C’est un excellent rapport qualité prix. Les lits sont confortables. Il manque quelques petits accessoires pour rendre l’appartement réellement pratique comme des torchons ou plus de papiers toilette. Je ne suis pas fan du système de clef numérique qui implique de télécharger une application.
- VIKTORIIA (9/5): В целом все понравилось. Соотношение цена-качество отличное. - Хорошее расположение. В районе галата очень много крутых спусков и подъемов, но сам отель находится на спокойной и чистой улочке с минимальным уклоном. К улице Истикляль будет тяжело подниматься, но вот спуститься к остановке трамвая (который идет по всем основным достопримечательностям T1) и набережной займет не больше 10 минут. Апартаменты просторные, на кухне есть все необходимое, в ванной тоже. Взяла апарт с кроватью 190*200, она действительно такая большая. Заселение было предельно простым. Сами апартаменты находятся в отдельном здании, вводишь код и входишь в urban quarters, а на этаже открываешь с помощью приложения и телефона. Также, перед заселением попросили второе одеяло. Когда приехали, оно уже лежало на кровати. На последнем этаже есть терраса , на которую можно подняться, попить кофе и тд. Красивый вид. После выселение разрешили оставить вещи в здании отеля. В душевой было немного грязно (желтые углы и волосы), но я теперь вожу с собой набор из моющего средства, губки и щетки, поэтому за пару минут все очистила и было приятно наступать туда голыми ногами. Этаж выбрать невозможно, мы жили на 2, так что окна выходили на чей то заброшенный внутренни двор и стройку. По звукам это не мешало, но поглазеть было некуда. По звукоизоляции тоже все не очень хорошо. В соседнем номере жили очень экспрессивные люди и переодически друга на друга кричали и хлопали дверьми. Это было слышно только на кухне и в короткое время, тк и они и мы уходили утром и приходили поздно вечером. В целом не сильно мешало, но иногда было ощущение, что они просто в соседней комнате прямо за дверью разговаривают. Ремонт чуть уставший, но это мешало только визуально.
- shima (8/5): if you prefer a contactless stay and want to be very close to public transport, this place is a good choice. - I really liked the location — it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the tram station, and there are great shops and cafés nearby. The apartment has a small living room, a kitchen, and a terrace, and the bedroom was comfortable as well. Just to note, there is no reception. Access is through a phone app and all communication is handled online. I had a small issue with the key at one point, but they responded quickly and resolved it well. The walls are quite thin, so you may hear the neighbors, which disturbed our sleep on some nights.

Even though they didn’t let us know from the beginning that there were problems with the apartment they gave us a room for some hours to have a shower We had lots of problems with the heating, there was a problem with the boiler and didn’t have hot water for three days . It was winter so with just the ventilation we were really cold . The only good thing is that they tried to give solution
- YONGOK (10/5): - We stayed here for 3 days and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment was spacious, clean, and situated in a great location. It was very convenient to have restaurants, grocery stores, and cafes nearby. Also, being close to the T1 tram made getting around the city incredibly easy. We especially appreciated the seamless contactless check-in process. We had a very relaxing stay—thank you!

- Darika (7/5): Необходимо решить проблему со сквозняком с аварийного выхода. Может быть его нужно красиво замаскировать? А то он портит - Локация отличная . Рядом кафе, магазины, булочные, продуктовый магазин, трамвайная остановка недалеко. В квартире есть все необходимое : холодильник с морозилкой , кофемашина , микроволновка, плита, чайник, даже сковородки и кастрюли это приятно удивило. В холодильнике был комплимент в виде воды. Так же из приятного было кофе, фильтры, сахар и чай, которых хватило практически на все пять дней. Полностью бесконтактное заселение , вход через телефон - современно. Есть лифт - это удобно. -Когда мы приехали в номере было ужасно холодно, хозяева забыли включить отопление. -На картинках не было видно, что есть аварийный выход с которого был жуткий сквозняк( эконом номер - 303). Поездка была в январе, в Стамбуле был снег и это создало мне неудобства. Был сквозняк и продувало. Благо была пленка пришлось самостоятельно устранять проблему. -Номер был забронирован на троих, однако тапочки , посуда были только для двоих. - Нет зубной пасты и щеток одноразовых. -Вид из окна на развалины .

- Pablo (9/5): - La zona del alojamiento es inmejorable, en el medio de la calle con cuesta suave (estambul tiene cuestas muy pronunciadas). A 5 min de T1 (que te deja en la zona vieja en otros 10 min). A 10 min andando de una de las principales calles comerciales. El barrio es moderno, buen ambiente, cerca de locales y tiendas más alternativas en barrio de Cihangir. Piso amplio, cama amplia, baño y ducha muy confortable. Si tengo que poner una pega es el sistema de entrada autónoma desde el tlf. Los que somos europeos llegamos sin Roaming y no podemos gestionar las preferencias de la app hasta llegar, aunque en el portal ya tienes wifi. Aunque la ayuda y atención que hemos recibido por parte de Gulsah ha sido EXCELENTE.

Большинство наших просьб оперативно удовлетворялись (дополнительное одеяло и пододеяльник + устранение засорившейся трубы). Приятный заезд и выезд без необходимости взаимодействовать с кем-либо. Расположение меня полностью удовлетворило (ходил в центр через Золотой Рог пешком, хотя можно воспользоваться трамваем), однако для супруги подъем на Истикляль весьма резкий. Спасибо за приветственную бутилированную воду, чайные пакетики и сахар. С террасы наверху открывался хороший вид на новогодние салюты. Маленький (для двоих с багажом) лифт, неожиданно закрывающиеся внутренние двери: напугало при заезде. В описании указана шумоизоляция, однако ее нет. Абсолютно. Вы будете слышать не только громкие разговоры соседей, но и свист их труб каждый раз, когда они открывают воду. Кроме того, прямо напротив наших окон сейчас стройка, и работы там начинаются в отдельные дни весьма рано. Одна из розеток у кровати не рабочая, и нам ее так и не починили. Кстати, если отодвинуть диван от стены - там еще одна розетка! Расположение холодильника несколько неудобное.

- PAOLO (8/5): Tutto bene, ma con molta pazienza - Ottima posizione, tra il Galata Port e Istiklal Caddesi. Affaccio sul retro, quindi silenzioso. -Il check-in da remoto con l'app è una vera scocciatura. Devi scaricare una app e utilizzare lo smartphone ogni volta che vuoi entrare nell'appartamento. Se siete in due o tre, e avete necessità di accedere separatamente, allora su ogni smartphone andrà scaricata l'app e richiesta l'attivazione al proprietario. Check-in e accessibilità molto migliorabili, alla fine siamo risuciti ad avere una key card fisica; -la terrazza c'è, ma è inutilizzabile: una sola poltrona a dondolo scassata e cacca di gatto. Si è vero Istanbul è piena di gatti, ma di solito non fanno la cacca di fronte alla tua porta finestra tutti i giorni. Forse la proprietà dovrebbe trovare un modo per curare di più i gatti che circolano nei paraggi; -Il divano letto, è un divano e molto poco letto. Se lo utilizzate siate pronti a dormire scomodi.

- Alfonso (6/5): - Buen apartamento aunque no estaba bien insonorizado. La chica que nos atendió era extremadamente amable y servicial. El problema es que no hay nadie en recepción hasta pasadas las 11 de la mañana y despues de las 1800 de la tarde. La limpieza no está incluida. Hay buena comunicación. Metro a unos 500 metros. Cuidado si sacais la tarjeta de metro y os ayudan. Sólo están ahí para estafar. Ellos empiezan a tocar las teclas y cuando sale la tarjeta, la cojen y la cambian por otra con muy poco crédito que tienen escondida en la misma mano. El apartamento no es nuevo pero está bien en general.

- Zaki (8/5): Regardless of the few negatives mentioned, overall it’s a great place to stay, the staff were super helpful and even all - A very good area in terms of transportation, shops and many attractions or landmarks a short walk or tram ride away. All basic things needed for a trip away were provided. Some things in the property were a bit old for example one of the plug socket came out of the wall when taking plugs out and there was a stain on one of the sofas.
- Michael (10/5): An apartment hotel I would definitely stay at again. - It’s in a perfect location for getting anywhere. Although it’s on the main street, it wasn’t very noisy during the day or at night. I was happy that the drinks in the fridge were provided for free. The night view from the rooftop was unforgettable. The walls are thin, so you can clearly hear voices from the hallway and the neighboring rooms. That’s the only downside.

- George (7/5): Great location, friendly staff, but needs some improvement - The location is great with lots of shops and places for breakfast or coffee nearby, the apartment is spacious, the beds were comfy, I had no WiFi issues throughout the stay, and there were some welcome drinks provided in our fridge on arrival. The staff, though, were the highlight: everyone I was in contact with before and during my stay was very kind and helpful. They allowed me to check in early after an overnight flight, to leave my bags on site after checkout, to navigate access issues with the digital key etc. The host also shared recommendations of where to go in the city, which was a nice touch. Sadly, cleanliness and comfort could really be improved. I felt that our apartment needed a deep clean (particularly the bathroom), and that many of the fittings and furnishings were very tired and in need of a refresh: the photos paint a better picture of the apartment's condition than that which we found. There were stains on the couch and a cigarette burn, the fire exit door seemed to be pretty damaged, whilst we found an empty beer can (presumably from the previous guests) down by the side of the bed...not a great first impression, which made me feel that the place hadn't been properly cleaned. The shower, meanwhile, is very low, so anyone above 5ft10 will have to duck to use it. I would also have appreciated some more trash bags for our waste, some washing up liquid and tea towels for the kitchen, some extra towels for the bathroom, and maybe one extra pillow per bed. I also felt that the communal areas could be better presented, like the lobby area where there was a couple of chairs and a really dirty magazine on a coffee table. I had also hoped to use the roof terrace that I saw in the photos, but on arrival I found that the outdoor furniture had been packed away, so maybe this is just a seasonal thing? I hate to leave a negative review given how friendly the staff were, but I really think this place could be massively improved with some thorough cleaning, some more attention to detail, and some refitting of tired furniture.

- Yasaman (8/5): perfect location! - great location to hop around for tourism, food, shopping. and right downstairs there’s a coffee shop and plenty of groceries for any essential needs. the rooftop in late september was stunning! picture attached. im 5’5” and slept on the (small) sofa couch for a week and was comfortable. the walls are thin if you’re sensitive to noise (both outside and neighbors)

Il est à proximité du tramway, du Bosphore, de taksim et Galata. L’appartement ne dispose malheureusement pas de lave-linge.

- Maja (10/5): Better than comparable apartments - Such a quick reaction from the operating team. I got stood up by one accommodation in Istanbul and booked this apartment. Within minutes I received a message and everything I needed to enter the apartment. So responsive. Also the apartment is better than the other four I stayed earlier in Istanbul rah all look better in pictures than in reality. Location is top, the view in the picture enclosed. Bakery, caffe, restaurants and everything so close.

But in this case, the temperature in the living room feels like being in a refrigerator, while the temperature in the bedroom is just right...

The host was kind to have the fridge full! Its a quite part of an happening neighbourhood. Perfectly suited! There were issues with the hot water thus had to take cold showers. The host acknowledged the issue and provided us instructions to reset the boiler manually. However it took over an hour for the water to heat up.. You could hear the neighbours in the hallway. And there was a patch of mould on the ceiling

- Serhii (4/5): Great location and cozy design, but several service and maintenance issues negatively affected the overall experience. - The location is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring the city. The interior is cozy and nicely decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I checked in around 11:00 PM and discovered a plumbing issue — the shower wasn’t draining. Since the administration wasn’t responding to calls or messages at that hour, I had to clean it myself. On the second day, there was a power outage, which caused discomfort. After that, hot water never returned. The day before checkout, I asked for the trash to be taken out and was offered fresh towels, but nothing was done. Additionally, a device in the hallway was beeping every minute, making it hard to sleep. I reported it, but the administration took no action.
- Ulrika (8/5): Excellent location, great value for money, fantastic terrace! - Excellent location with walking distance to great streets with bars, restaurants and antiques and crafts in Cihangir, close to Galata and Karaköy. The apartments were very fresh and seem to be pretty newly renovated. The beds were very comfortable and it was pretty silent at night. The terrace was amazing! We went up for a drink every evening before sunset. There is potential to make the terraces even more amazing by adding some more furniture and plants. Would have appreciated some more hooks in the bathroom as well!
- Leo (4/5): Disappointing stay - Rather big rooms, full kitchen and coffee machine. Nice neighbourhood. At least 3 days out of a week stay hot water was not working. Every day they said they fixed it, it worked for a little while and be gone again. As far as I understood, the issues with hot water started even before our stay. The place doesn't have staff on premise, and they ask you to install an app to use a digital keys. We've done that and had different issues with the keys for both rooms we've booked. It also makes it hard to check-in if you don't have a local sim yet. Some of the rooms doors are hidden behind fake walls (for tax reasons maybe?), which is confusing and the room numbers you got from the bookings do not match the actual numbers by the doors at all. So you come to the apartments. Your room number doesn't exist. There is nobody on the premise. You have to figure it out with the staff via WhatsApp. Then your digital key isn't working. Then you finally in the room and have to take a cold shower. Cannot recommend. Oh, and we've had what we thought was a private terrace (one of the rooms we booked was called "One-Bedroom Apartment with Terrace"). Every day guests from other rooms were smoking on this terrace, which had an entrance not only from our room, but from the hall also. Mind you all the windows in the room were looking at this terrace.

- Matthew (8/5): Very good - The room was super clean and spacious. The WiFi worked perfectly and we were able to make work calls with no problems. Unfortunately for majority of our stay our room didn’t have hot water. For the price we paid for the room this was not acceptable. Additionally on the first day we didn’t get towels, we had to ask 2 times and then I had to go to the basement to find 1 towel. Nobody ever brought any towels and we had to go searching for more. We were also limited on the times we could come and go from the property due to inspections which would have been fine for 1 day but it went on for 3 days.
- Edin (7/5): Good - Gülsah was so nice and super helpful! The room is quite big and cozy. I liked the bathroom and that they have a good hairdryer. Unfortunately the isolation is really bad and you can hear all the neighbours and they were pretty loud. Also there was once no warm water for showering.
- Luigi (8/5): The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped but the lack of a reception made arrival confusing. - I liked the room, it was very good, meaning big enough. It was clean and it was exactly as I could see in the pictures on Booking. I was very satisfied. The amenities in the room were good, I found a coffee machine (the one for the American coffee - lungo) that was a nice surprise. I didn't like that there was no reception at the property. When I arrived I ignored the messages on bookings.com. Thanks God the lady whatsapped me in advance, so she told me how I could get in and the app to download to enter the room. I would appreciate having someone at the property especially when somebody new is coming. My passport was not checked, the girl wrote me to know the arrival time but she was not at the property, so really I do not know why she required that. Anyway she replied in English and supported me with all the information I needed for example to print the flight ticket.

- Riya (8/5): Very good - Urban Quarters is very clean, modern, exactly like in the pictures with a great location very close to the central Tram Line and a short walk from Istikal Street. It's in a very lively (and safe) neighborhood with many good restaurants around, and hosts were super helpful with recommendations and quick to respond to any issues. We overall had a great stay and would recommend! The facilities and services could be better - we had an issue with the elevator and got stuck inside for 20 minutes due to it being faulty. The wifi also was not working for the first day but was sorted promptly. Hosts were very helpful in dealing with these issues and fairly easy to contact if need be.

Very clean, very nice interior, big modern bathroom and shower zone, comfortable big bed with good bed cover, comfortable sofa. Good quality towels. Very responsible and helpful manager. Good location. Silent location. Elevator. Cafes and shops nearby, also seaside for walk and museum of modern art. No sound isolation, we could hear neighbors very well.
