• Yolanda (6/5): A disappointing end to our stay in a well-located but poorly maintained accommodation. - The location was very convenient, with the metro station just a short walk away, allowing you to reach the city center and major tourist attractions in less than half an hour. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The self-check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Considering the cost of similar accommodations in London, the price was quite competitive. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable—you could feel the metal frame when sitting on it. It urgently needs replacing, especially considering it’s a sofa bed. The property is advertised as accommodating five guests, but the actual beds only fit four, making the sofa’s condition even more important. The apartment lacks maintenance and attention to detail, some of which would be quite easy to fix. The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling badly due to moisture. The hangers were flimsy and already bent, making them unable to support the weight of a coat. A new set of hangers would be a simple and inexpensive improvement. Although we understand this was likely the cleaning service’s fault rather than the owner’s, when we arrived, the towels were clean and neatly placed in the bathroom but completely damp. We placed them on the heated towel rack, and by the time we returned in the evening, they were perfectly dry and ready to use. Several paintings were leaning against the walls instead of being properly hung, and there was even a mirror left on the living room floor—something quite unsafe, especially for families with young children like ours. The worst part of our stay, which had otherwise been reasonable despite the issues mentioned, happened on the day of our departure. When we woke up in the morning, the boiler displayed an error, seemingly due to a lack of gas. As a result, we couldn’t cook breakfast, take a hot shower, or use the heating. We informed the owner, who told us he lived far away and couldn’t fix it until the afternoon with the help of an engineer. He also claimed this was the first time it had happened—hard to believe, considering we later found reviews from previous guests also complaining about issues with the boiler and heating. The most disappointing part was that he didn’t even offer any form of compensation, despite being fully aware of the situation. It was a frustrating way to end our stay and left us with a bad final impression.

Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend, it is situated close - walking distance to the tube station and the retail park. Easy and very quick access into London City from the station and the flat.
