• Cornelia (2/5): Hier hat sich das schöne Vancouver für uns von seiner unschönen Seite gezeigt. - Hübsches Haus mit Garten, gute Lage, keine Parkplatzprobleme. Wir waren nur für eine Übernachtung da, können also über Aufenthaltsräume und Garten nichts sagen. Das ganze Haus roch schlecht nach Katze. Im Eingangsbereich standen Latschen herum. Das Zimmer war verwahrlost und über den Zustand des Bades zum Teilen möchte ich lieber den Mantel des Schweigens breiten.

• Bernard (3/5): A noisy, poorly maintained stay that lacked respect for guests’ comfort and rest - Property is well located. Check in was easy and well organized. I had a disappointing stay overall, mainly due to the constant noise. There were multiple disturbances throughout the night, and the stated curfew did not seem to be respected. My room (the queen with garden view) was located directly above the hosts’ living area, and I was repeatedly woken up by loud conversations and movement, even after I brought the issue to their attention. I found this quite disrespectful. Cleanliness was also lacking. There was a persistent cooking smell throughout the property, and with two dogs on site, it may not be suitable for guests with allergies, like myself. Additionally, there was frequent noise coming from both the hosts’ garage and a neighbouring one. The shower initially did not drain properly, although to their credit, this was addressed after I reported it. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet, restful environment and prefer not to rely on earplugs, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

My room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. It was easy to get to UBC on the 25 bus just a few blocks away. It wasn’t clean everywhere. My room and the living room were very clean and tidy. The kitchen was not too clean when I arrived but then it is also used by the owners. The upstairs bathroom was fairly clean except the shower door.

No hassle and no confusion. I would suggest to have face towel provided and night table with lamp shade beside the bed.

On a good bus route - 10 minutes to a Safeway supermarket and 15 minutes to Save on Foods at UBC.House was very warm. In a quiet residential area. Great living room. Shower very good. Good value for money-you get what you pay for. Garden is a little sun trap when the sun is shining. Simone very responsive to my messages. She offered a clean of room and new towels as I was there for a long stay. Bedding was also changed. It is an older property and would benefit from a bit of TLC. A bedside lamp and a chair in the room would have been nice. Unfortunately the bath was out of order during my visit which was a shame as it was a huge bath that would have been nice to use. The steps up to front door can get slippery in wet weather but there are 2 hand rails. Plants could do with trimming back for easier access to handrails. If you have the queen room you may need eye shades to sleep as one of the neighbours has a security light that shines directly into room.

• Janet (8/5): Very convenient location - Being back in a familiar neighbourhood, close to bus (1/2 block to 2 different bus routes), 15 minute walk to Dunbar (coffee shops, groceries, restaurants, drug stores) and 15 min walk to a fabulous Italian bistro Buca di Roma on MacDonald. Comfortable bed, good shower. Quiet. The hair dryer doesn't have a plug which I only discovered after showering. The home needs a deep cleaning (for example finger smudges on the bedroom door, window ledges, bathroom vent cover) however it was clean where important (bathroom, bed linens)
• Donna Raftis (3/5): Would not recommend - The only good thing about our stay was the location of the property. It is a nice area on a quiet street with plenty of parking. We had a car. It might be tricky to get to without a car as is in a lovely suburban area. The whole place felt grimy. Our pillows were lumpy and the pillow cases smelt stale. We bought new pillows to sleep on during or 2 night stay. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Floors felt dirty. The bedroom had no blinds or curtains that blocked out light. More than half the lights in room did not work. Bath was not working. Kitchen cupboards were full of old outdated remains. Air conditioning unit had to assembled to work Felt like a dirty college share house The whole place needs to be thoroughly deep cleaned and maintained.
• Ana (7/5): Good stay, would do it again! - This served nicely for our small trip to Vancouver. The location was great, the neighbourhood seemed quiet and pretty. Good value for price! Communicating was easy and instructions for arrival and departure were clear. The interior feels like a grandma's house, only thing missing was a cat, would 100% match with the feeling. Would stay here again! A little bit of attention to detail would be nice. There was a bit of an odd smell in the air - probably just lack of airing. Mosquito net broken in the room, meaning any bug could easily enter.

• Marcel (5/5): OK for a short overnight stay at a reasonable price compared to other options in Vancouver. - The house is located in a reputable and safe part of of town. W liked the idea of having a kitchen available for cooking our breakfast and a fridge to store some items overnight. The room itself was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Our room overall was clean, as were the bathrooms. The quick response from the manager was also appreciated as was the early check-in. Besides our room and the bathroom the rest of the house felt somewhat dirty. The carpets need a good cleaning, the light switches were dirty and we found moldy baked goods in one of the kitchen cupboards. There is also a lack of proper cooking pots as I could only find one and it was past it's prime. The garden area behind the house could also use some loving care as it was not very inviting.

• Veronica (7/5): We would stay again but hope for some small improvements. - The location was perfect for our visit to family. The house is spacious and the neighbourhood safe and quiet. Communicating with Simone was easy and instructions for arrival and departure were clear and uncomplicated. Attention to detail could be greatly improved. The house seemed rather neglected - the outdoor steps need power washing as do the fascia boards, the garden needs attention and the planters were full of dead weeds. Although the interior was clean, it could use some paint touch-ups, and provisions of some dish rags and tea towels in the kitchen. Hand towels and washcloths would be nice.
• Alice (3/5): Sporca e poco funzionale. - Casa spaziosa Estremamente sporca, muffa e polvere ovunque. Ventilazione del bagno piena zeppa di muffa. Fornelli incrostati. Muffa persino nella lavatrice. Moquette lurida. Purtroppo la scarsa pulizia non ci permette di date un punteggio più elevato. La nostra camera era praticamente inaccessibile con le nostre valigie per via del divano messo in mezzo alla stanza, era piccola e molto scomoda.
• María Victoria (6/5): Mo recomendable. - La cocina estaba bastante bien equipada. El barrio era tranquilo y silencioso. Tenía una zona de lavandería que podíamos usar. La habitación tiene la cama pegada a la pared (incomodísimo para entrar y salir), una mesa y un sofá enormes ocupando gran parte del espacio, tanto que quedaban 30 cm para pasar entre el sofá y la cama. No es necesario ni el sofá ni esa mesa de gran tamaño en una habitación tan pequeña, sobre todo teniendo un salón al lado. El perchero era minúsculo. Ni en la información de booking, ni en la reserva de la habitación se indicaba que el baño era compartido. Me enteré el día antes de llegar cuando me enviaron los códigos para entrar. Hubiera cancelado si no fuera porque con tan poco tiempo era imposible encontrar otro alojamiento. Las vistas de la habitación eran a la pared del vecino por un lado y a la entrada por otro pero ésta apenas se podía disfrutar porque la ventana quedaba detrás del perchero por lo que la tapaba la ropa colgando. Tiene un patio trasero donde se puede desayunar o cenar, lo malo es que los inquilinos de abajo salían a fumar marihuana y hacían imposible estar allí con la peste a marihuana. Estuvimos alojados 5 días y no cambiaron las sábanas ni las toallas ni una sola vez. Esto no ocurre ni en los hostales más modestos. Está a mucha distancia del centro (40 min en bus) y de la zona comercial (10-15 minutos andando).

Bezkontaktowe zameldowanie i bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem na plus. W obiekcie zapewniono ręczniki i kosmetyki. Blisko do ładnej plaży i dobra komunikacja w pobliżu. Za tą cenę dobry wybór. Było jak dla mnie za brudno. Pod łóżkiem (spadło mi coś) skarpety i pozostałości po dawnych gościach. Części wspólne były w zadowalającej czystości.
• Ben (10/5): Spacious and Peaceful Stay in Dunbar! - We really lived the style and design - it felt truly comfortable and welcoming and the check-in process was really easy. The home was clean, extremely well-presented, and a real delight to stay in. We loved it so much that we booked it a second time during our Vancouver stay! We stayed in room 1 with a gorgeous bay window, luxurious bed, and antique furniture. The kitchen was well-equipped and the lounge/ sitting room areas were very comfortable and clean. It was great to have access to a washer and dryer for the last few days of our visit, so that was a real added bonus. Nearby there was a really delightful market store where we bought plenty of fresh vegetables for dinner and we also accessed a pool and gym at a nearby High School! Compared to some other properties it was a little further from the city, but the bus routes were perfectly fine and you could reach key places within 20-30 minutes!

• Hanna (10/5): Beautiful stylish house! - A very beautiful house with a garden located in a nice quiet street full of flowers. We had a very stylish, beautifully decorated room with a nice view of the mountains from the window. Even though the bathroom was shared between us and another room, we had our own sink and a toilet attached to our room. In fact, only the shower was shared. The house is beautiful, spacious and clean. It is possible to use the first floor as a shared living room, and there was a kitchen, though we didn't cook. Parking was easy and free on the street in front of the house. When we return to Vancouver, we will stay in this place again. Everything was good!

• Valerii (8/5): The best value for this price. I’II stay here again. If you need to stay in quiet and safe neighborhood that’s your choi - Excellent location, close to downtown, airport. A lot of space in the kitchen area and room. Great customer service , no problems with check in - out, even if it’s late. Every day remove the garbage. Washrooms in decent condition. Some dust at the corners , shelves , table. Kitchen cabinets definitely need some cleaning. AC in the room was little bit loud , but it’s okay in general, I think a peace of duct tape can fix it:)

• Irene (8/5): Nice place, quiet area and great location. Would stay here again - Location is great! Nearby to some lovely and lively beaches and downtown and the airport are not far either. It is possible to leave luggage here before checking in and I think after checking out too. Bathroom is shared as the description says, but there also is a toilet downstairs so that's nice for in the night. On the day you'll receive a code for the door and the keys are in a key box inside the house. I would recommend this place and am actually going to stay here again! I think there is a somewhat automatic response to some of the messages. It got resolved though. And hey, if that's the worst thing at this place?!

• FLORIANE (4/5): À éviter….. - Le quartier calme et la proximité de la ville Bon emplacement Niveau de propreté très médiocre, nous avons été très surpris. Les communs ne sont pas nettoyés depuis un temps certains, nous croisons une femme de ménage chaque matin qui vient seulement remettre de l’essuie tout qui sert d’essuie mains et vaisselle et vider les poubelles. Nous sommes vraiment très déçus et surpris par les commentaires précédents des voyageurs. Nous étions 3 couples dans cette maison, et avons échanger avec l’un d’entre eux nous sommes unanime à ce sujet. Ce n’est pas du tout entretenu, quel dommage car la maison est à la base une jolie maison. On ressent ici juste l’attrait du bénéfice c’est vraiment dommage….. bien que l’hôte soit réactive et nous réponde rapidement aux questions Nous ne recommandons pas.

• Barbara (7/5): - Die gute Lage, die gute Verkehrsanbindung Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin hat nicht gut geklappt. Der Zugangscode würde erst nach zweimaliger Bitte zugesendet. Die Unterkunft war nicht sehr sauber.
• MartaCerejo (6/5): Bairro calmo, bom para uma noite - O bairro é super calmo, com estacionamento na área. O quarto estava limpo. O suficiente para umas noites. A comunicação e instruções foram claras. As áreas comuns como a casa de banho e cozinha precisam de limpeza e organização.
• GEORGIOS (10/5): - Very clean, the house is in a dream neighborhood, transport options to waterfront abound, very responsive host, the house is gorgeous and 10 times better than in the pictures. Absolutely can't think of anything.

• Javier (7/5): Good location and shared spaces, room could be improved - the location and a big living room The room was too hot at night, and it didn't count with proper curtains.
