Guest Reviews
- Sue (9/5): Wonderful -
- Steve (8/5): - All okay. Shower in bath was a bit tricky.
Smell from septic tank.
- ian (10/5): - A very well equipped and home from home feel plus easy access to amenities
- Lee (10/5): Quaint house close to town and reisling trail. - Located close to town, and clear instructions from Sue as to how to access the key. Was really cute inside the house & nice rear yard. A nice surprise to have some breakfast items stocked on arrival. The one combined bathroom meant that we (3 girls) had to time our showers & toilet visits to accommodate each other. A little communication & consideration and we were sorted, wasn’t really a problem.

- Simonne (10/5): Fabulous B&B in the heart of Clare - Baxter's B&B was a fabulous base for our couple of days in the Clare Valley. Spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. Simple breakfast supplies were all that was needed. Highly recommend this little gem.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Lori-ann (9/5): Superb - The position was great and so quiet. There was plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable, and the host was very obliging. I would definitely recommend Baxter's B&B to all. Everything you need is there
- Helen (9/5): We had a good stay. - Clean and spacious property
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional - Great selection of food. Bread- sourdough loaf.
- Rosemary (8/5): Lovely place to stay, has everything you need. - Good breakfast supplies.
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good -
- Brenda (10/5): Extremely comfortable and homely. Perfectly at ease. Thoroughly recommend. - Great breakfast, bacon and eggs provided by host.
Location was not what I expected but turned out to be fantastic. So quiet during evening and at night. Was able to do my morning run without having to run on a Highway or busy road. Fantastic.
Would definitely use this accommodation a gain and will recommend to future travellers. Shower was a bit difficult for my elderly aunt to access. Not that we didn’t like it, it just provided a hurdle for us to get over.
- Catherine (9/5): Lovely house, good spot, well stocked for food, but the toiletries were a bit lacking. - Didn't use the breakfast as we went out. But it a was generous offering in the fridge. My mattress was really uncomfortable as were the pillows, but the rest of the house was good.
- Margaret (9/5): Wonderful - Charming and comfortable Nothing
- Lynne (10/5): Baxter's is a Delightful Cottage in the Heart of Clare - From the moment we walked into Baxter's, the house felt like a home from home. Sue had catered for everything. For us, the house was a great location, being a 10 minute walk to the delightful CBD of Clare. We had a couple of lovely meals at restaurants, Seed and Indii. The surrounding countryside was pretty, and we enjoyed exploring the historic villages, wineries, and breweries that were in abundance. All in all, a fabulous and memorable stay. Nothing, everything was excellent.
- Drum (9/5): Enjoyable weekend stay! - Great property with a really nice location, the amenities were really nice and the house itself was really stylish and comfortable. It was really easy to find and check in and out was very straightforward. It was a really nice stay and the house stayed really warm even at night.
- Jane (9/5): We had a great stay and our English family loved it too. - Breakfast supplies great. More than enough for us - we loved it
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Location is great. Nothing special from the outside but inside is great and has everything you need. Always handy to have a washing machine when there for a week.l The shower over the bath is not great. Would not suit anyone with mobility issues. Care is needed as the floor of the bath can be extremely slippery. This resulted in my wife having a bad fall. Fortunately she was not badly injured but was badly shaken. I would suggest that the floor of the bath needs rubber matting. We were able to aliviate the problem by placing a towel on the floor of the bath.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect! There was nothing that we did not like.
- Alison (8/5): Convenient location, clean and tidy and had good heating for winter stay. - Easy walk into town, clean and neat. Nothing
- Sandra (10/5): Extremely pleasing and relaxing - Everything - so beautifully appointed, spacious With quality furnishings, facilities etc
Quiet surrounds and within walking distance of a great bakery, Little Red Grape. Occasional septic odour in first bathroom.
- Donna (8/5): Very enjoyable - It was good
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Kerry (9/5): Lovely ambiance, quite well appointed. Well catered - The convenience to town. Very comfortable accommodation. Not sure how warm it would be in winter. More access to power points in bedrooms. Heating could be an issue.
- Raimundo (8/5): Very good -
- Raimundo (9/5): will return - attention to detail
especially loved the magpie couldn’t really fault it
- Tony (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay. Cottage quirky, well stocked, nicely furnished. A treat! - Breakfast very good, lots of choices. Location also very good, only a short walk to Main Street, hotels, restaurants, riesling trail etc. Not really a criticism now, but thinking if we were there in the middle of summer, we might like a bbq, some cover/back verandah etc to be able to be outside. The other thing would be outside blinds over the main bedroom windows, we were woken quite early by bright sunshine!
