- Amanda (1/5): Booking.com needs to remove this - The new one we were put at was okay but not what we booked. I found out with a couple of hours only that we had been moved to another location due to a water leak. We had 6 adults and a 17 year old on our booking.
we arrived at a 2 bedroom apartment in Walworth, not walking distance to anything we planned.
No hot water for the first day.
One person sleeping on the floor, I explained that two adult men can’t share a pull out bed.
Plates, bedding, pillows, etc, only for 6 people.
They had sent a flannelette blanket for extra bedding.
I had asked for a partial refund but no reply from them on.
- Tracy (1/5): DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE - You ask what did I like?ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!. If I could give a zero mark I would, it doesn't deserve even a 1. Do not go to this place. It is an utter disgrace. This should not be advertised on Booking.com and I cannot believe this hasn't been vetted before allowing people to pay good money for somewhere I wouldn't put a dog. I paid over £1000 for this, totally distraught by the whole situation. We turned up as a group of 4 adults and 4 children to what appeared to be a run down council flat being sublet as holiday accommodation. Absolutely ruined what was a Christmas present for the children to go to London to see the Lion King, which we had to cancel that night to use the money to find alternative accommodation. Absolutely disgraceful that we were put in this situation by trusting what we saw and booked on a reputable booking site. Once bitten and all that and I will never book again this way This looked like what appeared to be a council flat being sublet, that had a horrendous smell of damp, mould, cigarettes and possibly/maybe cannabis. The door in the living room that went onto the street was wide open. The windows were on street level and were open, some being unable to physically close and had no curtains that could be drawn. The board round the bath was covered in black mould, there was an exposed hole with insulation just shoved into it. The bathroom obviously leaks because the floor in the hall was all raised and black with mould. There was black mould on the walls and damp patches in the bedrooms. The furniture looked like it had come from the tip. There was no smoke alarms as they had been dismantled. The towels they provided were damp, stained and left on the radiators. The kitchen smelt of gas so another safety issue. I could go on and on but needless to say we did not stay we left immediately. We had 4 children with us and under no circumstances could we allow them to stay in this place. It was disgusting. This site only allows me to upload 4 pictures but I have plenty more
- Joshua (1/5): Shocking host and do not give any money to these people - Didn’t stay due to the poor advertising and would never have booked it. Damp and terrible conditions Damp and dirty, didn’t stay and gave the keys back straight away and had no luck with a refund after many attempts. Will be taking this further
- Gascoyne (7/5): Good -
- Whasiah (10/5): Centrally located in Borough. Very near to stations and bus stop. We can cook and most importand it is in ground floor. - Very comfortable especially to big family . Large living and bedroom. Near to busstop and only 5min walk to borough stn. Nope.
- Mohammed (6/5): Pleasant - the location is great It is little bit A dilapidated apartment . Need to be renewed
- Laura (7/5): Good - The apartment is quite big with 3 bedrooms, 1 toilet, 1bathroom, 1 kitchen , 1 room with sofa and tv at the ground floor.
It is a very nice apartment., modern and confortable.
In order to collect the key, I had to go to a shop at 10 min distance from the apartment and give a 6 digits code. I did a late booking, around 9.30 pm. It was said it was possible to book until 23.00 but I did not receive the code .It was sent at 2am. So I had to pay for another place. The first night will be only partially refounded.
- Peter (9/5): It was good clean and tidy will stay there any time - It was close to my work as I was working on lsbu
- Maria (8/5): Perfect location and great holiday stay while touristing London! - Great location and perfect for two families of four. If you are a light sleeper. Bring ear plugs as the noise from the road can be quite load.
- Aleksander (7/5): Good -
- Francesco (7/5): Good - Good location close to subway station and southbank area. Fully-furnished kitchen and wide rooms. A little noisy as windows face a main road. At least one table with chairs is definitely missing.
Poor cleaning, and shortage of toilet paper, hand soap and towels (only one per person).
- Vachtsevanos (1/5): I house that I would't suggest even to my worst enemy. - The property was close to the metro station. A very dirty house, with filthy walls, sockets and radiators. In the bathroom the radiator was so dirty you couldn't use it to dry the towels. The bathroom tab was broken and we could't adjust the water temperature. No bin in the toilet, Not enough towels. The mattresses in all rooms were in a really bad condition you could feel the springs hitting you body. For three days we didn't manage to sleep and rest. The wardrobes were filthy and in one of the rooms there was a broken mirror. That was the worse room I had ever booked in my life. The owner also asked me to pay £51 in addition for cleaning after my booking with the excuse that there was a slight error with the booking. The only error is that Booking.com allowed people like these to rent accommodations with so low standards that offend people and Booking com itself. £810 to stay in a filthy room for 3 days (for 2 families ) is not valued for money.
