Guest Reviews
- Christine (9/5): Great hosts, good location, dog friendly, safe off-street park8ng, clean and comfortable. - Good location, parking on driveway but also just a few minutes walk to a bus stop for 40D bus that takes you 20minutes into centre of Dublin, very close to Temple Bar district.
The accommodation was clean and having basic kitchen facilities was very useful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We took a dog, who was also made very welcome and, with a small area out of French doors, was very handy with a dog. We thought that walking through the owners' downstairs accommodation to get to our room was possibly going to be an issue for us, but it proved not to be as they were so accommodating. They stayed upstairs almost entirely during our stay, so it was never uncomfortable for us passing through their front room.
- Graham (1/5): ABSOLUTE WORST ACCOMMODATION EVER ENCOUNTERED - The owner has a nice dog. This is the worst ever introduction to a country. Horrible area a complicated long way from Dublin centre. The "cabin" is a poorly renovated garden shed with access through the owner's kitchen - even while the family is using it. Then through an unkempt yard dodging dog turds to reach the substandard cabin.
The inside joinery and fittings appear to be from scrap materials and "built" by a very amateur home handyman. Therefore they can call it rustic.
Bathroom is tiny, shower had the previous inmate's hair on the floor, stand-alone hand basin is the tiniest ever encountered and the bathroom has no cupboards or shelves, nowhere to hang a towel.
Curtains don't cover the bottom 40cm of the windows, a smaller window has cracked glass and no curtain - therefore the owner can look straight through to your bedroom. We covered the window with a towel.
There is a TV on one wall but the only place to sit to view it is on the edge of the bed about 0.5m away. The table is an old barrel and the stools around it need to be repaired.
We paid for two nights but left ASAP after one night after arriving late.
This place is just a money-grabbing Air BNB. We use Booking.com to avoid Air BNB scum and they need to vet places to maintain the standards we expect.
BOOKING.COM NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS LISTING. It does them no favours.
- Steve (1/5): Bad - Large bed. Host. Building in a small back garden, access via hosts house. Cleanliness poor in general. No bedside lights. Couldn't see TV from bed, nowhere else to sit comfortably. Patio description is actually a small unloved area between the house and the "chalet"
Very expensive and overpriced for this property.
- Mandired12 (10/5): Home from home experience 😌 💕 - The hosts are so nice made us feel very welcome. Microwave/kettle/toaster/mini fridge available.Tea,coffee and snacks available. Fresh towels prepared as there's a shower in cabin. Bed was so comfortable, better than mine at home.
Family have a Lovely little dog very friendly. Host offered us lift to Dublin zoo following morning to save hassle travelling on and off busses with our cases bless her. 🙌 relaxed check in and checkout times. Must email host to sort times of arrival etc and responds back quickly. Netflix on TV and can use WiFi.
It was like a home from home experience will defo be back very soon.
- Marcella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - The host and her family was very accommodating and even helped me out of a pickle with my pups. We were somewhat passing through so it was nice to unwind from all our travels. We did make it in to Dublin for some sightseeing and it was very easy to get into town. The one downside as mentioned by another review is the access to the property however the host made the access very accommodating and it was not a problem for us even with our pups.
- White (10/5): Exceptional - The host's where so helpful and lovely people they went above an beyond everything was there for u more then ud get in hotel's value for money we will be back👍 Everything good
- Richard (8/5): Very friendly hosts, Couple of minutes from Bus Stops and great for budget booking. - Breakfast was not included, but Cereal was provided with Tea, Coffee and others. Nothing, only that WiFi wasn't too strong
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed on NYE! The hosts are super nice and friendly. They allowed an early check in and weren't strict about the check out time too. The cabin is very warm and comfy and constant hot water. Very nice, thank you!!
- Robert (3/5): Nice people, Cabin needs some work.... - Hosts were friendly. It's fairly close to the Airport. The electricity in the cabin needs sorting out. The lights were faulty, and we couldn't boil a kettle and make tea or coffee. Also the TV didn't work..
The fact you have to walk through their house to gain access is a definite minus. And it's wasn't that clean.
- Severin (7/5): Nice hosts and it is good starting point to all locations, there is no resturants near.. - Water is cold..
- Ahmed (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hans (7/5): Good -
- Marie (8/5): Cappagh hospital nearest accommodation - Convenience to cappagh hospital & super nice owners Had to enter Tru family home
- Demi (10/5): Absolutely Awesome - I loved that it felt ap homely, and tara and her family made us feel so welcome which was a great start to the break away already
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Host very nice. Location was great for dublin airport
- Carl (1/5): Had to walk out and find alternative lodging. I prepaid though will be seeking a refund - We did not stay. It was too dirty to sleep in. Dirty and no private entrance
