- Emmet (10/5): The host Jerry is a gentleman, we loved our stay and the seaswims!! - One of the best things about this property is the host, Jerry!! Very welcoming and friendly to both me and my teenage daughter. He was very helpful and we soon became good friends! I liked that the property is outside of the hotel zone but still easy to access areas around it. Ferry to Isla Mejures is 2 minutes walk away. Small businesses close by for fruit/food etc. The view of the coconut trees and the seaview was my favourite part of this property. In the front of the property is a nice courtyard/terrace area where you can cook outdoors. We didn’t use this much, but it would be the perfect place for a couples/friends to have drinks/dinner. In the back, you walk down a small flight of stairs which lead to a big deck with lounge chairs and a mattress where you can enjoy the sunrise/sunset in privacy. Having the ability to get out of bed and be swimming right outside my back door within 1 minute was priceless! We swam nearly every morning (and some evenings!) This felt like a home from home and I hope to be back again soon!! Some people may not like the first impressions of the area as you arrive , as the road is a little run down/underdeveloped on one side. But this is an area where locals live, not the hotel zone! So this is to be expected. It is very safe, so this didn’t bother me at all.
