• Johann (2/5): False advertisement! - Place as clean and nice furniture ect The biggest problem is that the address in the ad isn't where you're actually staying—it's just the spot to grab the keys! If they put the real property address in there, folks would spot right away that it's right behind a dog shelter. That's the real headache—the shady way it's advertised. There should be a rule that ads have to list the exact address of the place you're renting. And yeah, the owners know damn well what they're doing and are pulling this on purpose. How many more people gotta get tricked before someone fixes this issue?

• Sheri A (5/5): DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PROPERTY _ AS IT IS DIRECTLY ABOVE A NOISY DOG POUND! - Hosts were friendly but this was a hustle -- see comments below. Comfortable beds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learly the hosts were hustling -- the rental unit is not one anyone could live in long-term due to the incessant dog-barking and howling, so a short-term rental without telling people about the dogs is the hustle that they are doing. We would have LOVED to have known this -- and the need for a compact car -- PRIOR to staying, or even ONE HOUR PRIOR TO ARRIVAL to have better prepared. The dog and car issues cost us a lot of time, money and energy -- we even bought a fan at the local Target before we realized that the "wifi boosters" in the rooms were actually white noise machines because NO ONE can sleep well with the dogs directly below you. It was a complete racket -- we would love our money back and would never have willingly stayed there.

• Magdalena (9/5): Great place in a good location - The location and facilities of the property were great. There was good contact with the hosts. The apartment is very large. We felt safe, the entrance to the apartments was secured, and the area was additionally monitored, among other things, because of the shelter located in the building. A bit high price, bathrooms and under beds could be cleaner. In addition, dust was not wiped everywhere. The apartment is above a shelter for animals, which barked loudly at different times of the day, but it did not bother us that much.
• Rhynard (8/5): Nice place, convenient , but it is super noisy around the clock. - Nice central location to museums, food, beaches, entertainment, highways and events. The apartment is nice and well taken care of. We read the reviews so this is on us but you need to know the apartment backs to the Santa Monica dog rescue. The barking is no joke, it is non stop around the clock. The host is graciously supplied the apartment with earplugs, as well as white noise machines. And you will need them, you will likely still hear the dogs a little bit. Also, just worth noting the parking spots are super tight in the parking garage, be prepared for that if you have a midsize or large car. And navigating the building is a bit of a maze that makes it difficult to get around until you kind of figure out your way. This is no derogatory comments towards the owners or host, the notes and reviews are clear. I just to pass along to anyone who rents this place that the dogs situation is real. Other than the dogs, we enjoyed our stay, personally probably wouldn’t stay there again because the dogs, I just didn’t realize how loud it was gonna be.
