Guest Reviews
- John Paul (9/5): enjoyed it as a one night stay but doubt we would stay much longer. - very comfortable and clean. great for a one night stay. Suggest installing a combustion heater only had one breakfast bowl. Air con worked but not that well. Cheap TV. wifi kept dropping out. TV and wifi probably would`nt be a problem for most people but important to us.
- Lynelle (8/5): Great stay - It was clean, cosy and a comfort warm bed I had to keep the toilet lid down as if I didn’t there was a sour smell in the bathroom. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. I think it was coming from the drain or the septic.
- Jakrachai (9/5): - The cabin was well decorated, clean, and felt really comfortable. The furnitures and appliances were high quality.
The location was nice as well, 5 minites to the town with spacious surroundings. Everything was self-served with no staff present and the check-in time was a bit late at 3 PM.
- Darren (10/5): Absolutely 10/10 experience. If I’m around that ways again, this is where I’m staying!! - An absolutely incredible space! I arrived in the afternoon to a warm, bright cabin with the best quality furnishings and fit-out I think I’ve ever experienced in any kind of accommodation. The absolute serenity of the location was only beaten by what might be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Not a dislike, but a suggestion. It would have been awesome to have been able to pre-order some snacks or food to be available on arrival (like a charcuterie board perhaps), as I was doing a motorcycle trip and couldn’t pack food with me. I knew the food options before I booked, so as I said, a suggestion/wish, not a critique.
- styx (10/5): They set the bar high! - Why would you pay for a motel when this little gem is only a few dollars more. THE cleanest accommodation I’ve stayed in without mortgaging my house. Will differently be staying there whenever in Walcha. Nothing to dislike. Clean, quiet and only a few k’s from town.
- Rebecca (10/5): Ourstanding - I loved the Privacy... and the condition of everything all new and clean. I even enjoyed the cows nearby Nothing it was all good
- Mykola (10/5): Had a great time here - The location is excellent for these who want to unwind from the big cities rhythm. The cabin is new, clean and well sized for two people.
- Bernicd (9/5): Country Style - Location- a short drive out of town.
Modern fit out
Nice views - rolling hills, cattle grazing and bird life.
The hosts.... very friendly and prompt when the water pump beer needed reset which only took a few minutes. The carpet runner in the bedroom which moved around on top of the carpeted floor. We needed to adjust this a couple of times as we felt that it was a trip hazard
- Vicky (9/5): Been before and will be back. Love these cabins. - Close to town. No fuss check in. Very clean and comfortable. The extraction fan in the bathroom isn’t very effective.
- Jodi (9/5): - The property was very clean and comfortable. The bed linen was so lovely, soft and snuggly.
- dakota (10/5): -
- Proctor (9/5): This is a great value stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Beautiful setting. Highly recommended. - The setting is pictureque. The cabin is modern, clean and very comfortable. Loved that there were fans (very quiet - no rattles!) and air-con. Everything was fantastic.
- Bernard (10/5): -
- Meredith (10/5): - Beautiful rural setting with modern facilities
- Victoria (10/5): Very comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings, close to the town. - Very close to Walcha. Beautiful setting. Very private. Easy to deal with the manager. Very comfortable bed. Exceptionally clean. Bigger towels would be nice. The Wifi didn't work (could connect but no service), however there was a big storm that night which may have been a factor.
- Paul (10/5): - The location was stunning. I wish I had an opportunity to enjoy it more; I was in and out too late and early.
- Timothy (9/5): Great little cabin - Beautifully quiet and peaceful. Simple, new, Spacious cabin. Very clean and comfortable. Will stay again

- Lynda (9/5): - A delightful, modern, cosy cottage. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night.
- Paula (10/5): - Perfectly functional, peaceful, clean, comfortable, and pretty.
An incredibly restful and refreshing stopover, on our long road trip. I would happily stay here again.
The cabin is well-stocked with plenty of liquid soaps, eco dish liquid, milk, etc. We did not want for anything during our stay.
Bed was 10/10 comfy, plus dual electric blankets, reverse cycle a/c, loads of windows for letting fresh air through.
We did not find the Walcha dining options to be spectacular, so I would probably grab dinner at Armidale next time, before heading to the cabin.
- Racheal (10/5): Beautiful spot hassle free check in lovely room - Beautiful quiet place Unfortunately the last night we had the snow storm so no power and no water but we made the most of it
- Candy (9/5): An excellent overnight stay on our travels up the coast. - It was very clean and we were very happy that the unit was open when we arrived in the dark. directions were very good. The kitchen was a bit minimal. Very frustrating not to have paper towels or tissues. We also found it to be a bit of a danger hazard that the point of the overhead to the stove was right in the way of doing dishes and we constantly were hitting our head with the point which I felt was quite dangerous. Additionally, the unit was very very cold when we came in which made it uncomfortable. I'm not sure how you can really fix that. It was winter time.
