Guest Reviews
- Jasper8866 (8/5): Very good - We originally booked apartment L2007, but was given another room on arrival. We stayed for two nights in Room 2809 at 220 Spencer Street, Melbourne City. The one-bedroom apartment was exceptionally spacious and made us feel right at home.
Pros:
• Excellent location, conveniently situated next to Southern Cross Station and tram lines.
• Quiet and peaceful rooms, ideal for a restful stay.
• Well-equipped kitchen with essential amenities including pots, pans, kettle, toaster, and dishwasher.
• Hot showers with strong water pressure, which added to the overall comfort.
• Wifi is included.
Cons:
• The apartment lacked basic supplies such as tea, coffee, a dishwashing sponge, and a tea towel.
• The bed was not comfortable, which impacted the quality of our sleep.
- Shanec1 (10/5): will definitely use again - i would recommend this to anyone. great host and very responsive. everyhing was simple to use. great apartment nothing to think of
- Amanda (1/5): Bad - ? The apartment owner/leasee. Cancelled our reservation at 15:00 on the day ! Said his lease had expired that morning.
- Skye (5/5): Passable - The view Being locked out in court yard at 11pm even though pool is open till 11, then waiting 15 minutes for security to come open the door while you're dripping wet
Needed more towels in room for both bathing and swimming purposes.
Have room ready if people PAY for early check in instead of a 1 hour stuff around trying to get a hold of keys.
- Jodi (8/5): Comfy apartment in great location - Great location. Large size.
- Shannon (2/5): Seriously dissatisfied - Room advertised as “early check in, late check out and parking included in price”. Requested check in at 2pm which is pretty standard. Request was denied. Arrived around 3:30pm and the room had not been cleaned. Was told that due to high volume of cleans we could leave our luggage but room would not be available until 5pm. Came back to room after 5 and it had been cleaned but there was no toilet paper!! I asked to be compensated for the inconvenience of not being able to access the room and it not being left with basic amenities (no toilet paper, no long life milk and only 2 towels for 2 people) and I wasn’t offered any discount. Apparently 1 towel per person is “standard” even though I booked this apartment especially because of the pool facilities….and although there was tea and coffee (Lipton tea bags and cheap instant coffee) they “don’t provide any milk”. Room noisy…wind was whistling through the door, could hear annoying music from 8am coming from who knows where. Would’ve not left a bad review if our stay was more comfortable. It’s pretty shit to arrive somewhere to a messy room and a bathroom that was absolutely disgusting to them have to leave and come back to a room that wasn’t even stocked with basic amenities
- Andrew (1/5): SCAMMER, DO NOT BOOK. Cancelled booking 2 hours before check in then scammed my card for $533 - Cancelled 2 hours before check-in, during calls to resolve I was screamed at by him using profanities. Chased him up 2 months later as I still have had no refund. Stupidly I provided card details to him for a refund and that evening he scammed my account for $533. Reported to the police who are investigating.
- Sez85 (7/5): Good - Great location. Has all the basics you need. Check in is 4pm not 3pm as it states on booking.com. The swimming pool is in a different building around the corner. Took a bit to figure it out as no instructions are given. Information for check in is a little tricky if you don't read the instructions the correct way.
- Sarah (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COST - Property was not clean. Also the host was horrible to deal with, added on extra charges last minute which he wouldn’t give the keys until they were paid, and now over a month later still has not returned my money. We found the hosts caretaker COMING OUT OF OUR ROOM when we returned from shopping one day. Terrifying for myself and my daughter. Parking was changed multiple times during our stay at a huge inconvenience to us. Property changes its listing name often seemingly to get away with scamming people out of extra money. Terrible host. Scammer.
- James (7/5): Quite a good place to stay. - The apartment was nice. Ted (the owner) was very helpful. It was nice and close to Southern Cross Station. Lots of places to eat in the area. Also close to the Skybus terminal for the airport. It was a bit involved trying to gain access to the accommodation. We had to wait for people to enter the building and we then followed the others in as we had no other access. Then we had to find the mailbox inside the building with a corresponding number to our room. Once we found the mailbox, we had to enter a code. Once we got into the mailbox there was another key lock box and another code to be entered. Finally we reached the key for the room.
Not sure what was happening with the lights in the apartment. If we switched on the bathroom light, and another guest switched on the lounge light, the bathroom light would go out.
- It's (10/5): Right in the heart of it all! ❤️ - Great location close to shops transport events.
But would be great if there was an easier way to collect & drop keys

- Lex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peta (3/5): Check in was stressful, no help at all from front office/ reception, heard other people banging their doors all nig - Location was good Sliding door to balcony was very difficult to close, so door was not closed properly unable to lock out street noise so worst sleep I’ve ever had
- Tony (1/5): Stuffed up my whole day - It was double booked and I had to find another apartment at last minute costing me double money
- Dave (5/5): Comfortable - Great veiws The complicated check in process! Couldn’t find key or building to start with then had to figure it out via texting someone and it was all confusing.
A guy had to come and show me key and explain but this process could be clearer
- Yore (9/5): We’re locals who needed a last minute staycation in the city and this place was perfect. Communication with the hosts wa - Layout was really nice No room service
- Lex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristy (7/5): From train access at your doorstep to rock climbing within the accommodation, adventure guaranteed - We had trouble because there was a roadblock which confused the parking situation. Once we got that sorted, we were met by a very patient and gracious host. The pool and rock climbing were a hit.
Thank you for the added touch of a bunch of flowers on arrival. We had booked for five.
We were greeted with a pull out bed and a double.
The children were able to put couch cushions together to make an additional bed.
This worked fine, I just wasn’t expecting it.
For our location though, I believe we definitely had value for money.
