Guest Reviews
- Kathryn (6/5): $2500 for 9 nights you would expect a much better appointed apartment. Many emails to booking . Com and Staycay got us 1 - Position
Comfortable beds
Kitchen was good.
This apartment could be fantastic but needs cleaning up and attention to detail. Advertised as 2 bathrooms only one and a single toilet downstairs.
No heating downstairs.
No face washers. Only 2 hand towels for 4 people for 9 nights.
Patio was a mess.
No sponge or cloth for the kitchen sink.
- White (9/5): -
- Allyson (9/5): - Functionality and location. Apartment hadn't been cleaned after previous guests. But this was rectified..unfortunately late at night
- Kendra (9/5): Cute and cool converted factory across from bars! - Right across the road from top-rated bars, a bakery and cafe. Ate dinner at Piggy's twice, so convenient! The apartment is part of a converted factory and the whole thing has been made to feel nice with little gardens once you enter the gate. Host was also very quick to reply to emails and very pleasant!
- Adam (8/5): Big, comfortable, bright, and central - Location was great! Right near a bustling strip of North Fremantle, and close to stunning Leighton Beach. Easy access with the train close by too. Property could have been better stocked (eg hand soap by the sinks and body wash in the shower). The oven also wasn't working, but there was an air fryer to use instead.
- Josh (10/5): -
- Daphne (10/5): -
- Tony (7/5): Expensive and disappointing - Central for what we wanted. Cold downstairs
Leak in the roof impacting the entry
Warped windows in main bedroom that could not be closed
Dirty floors downstairs
Shower not easily accessible
- Michael (5/5): Overpriced for an old property which needs maintenance . - Location Blinds in the kitchen dining broken and wouldn’t close, bath was dangerous getting in and out, no heating lower level and was cold, had water leak near lounge from rain.
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant - Amazing location. Great coffee shops and bakery nearby. Easy to get around, on a quiet strip off the main area.
Fun decoration and kitchen fit out.
Glad there was aircon in the rooms. - Checkout was already an early time at 10am. We got coffees at around 9am and left our bags inside the apartment. When we came back before checkout time, there were cleaners which had entered the property without us there when they could see our bags were still there. Made us feel very uncomfortable that they came in before we had checked out and stayed.
- This is much more of an airbnb style - there were a few rules (take the bins out or incur additional fees etc) which is not what you expect when paying over $1000 to stay somewhere.
- There were no paper towels or additional towels provided just one per person which felt quite stingy.
- There were lots of dead cockroaches scattered throughout the accomodation.
Overall, we were quite happy with the place and especially the location but the things above made us feel unwelcome in the space we paid $$ for.
- Janelle (10/5): The accommodation was exceptional. The beds were comfortable. I’d recommend this to anyone travelling to Perth - The accommodation was exceptional. The beds were comfortable. The check-in and -out instructions were clear. However, there were quite a few dead cockroaches. I suspect spraying had occurred recently.
- Daniel (1/5): Huge cockroach infestation - Nothing The Cockroach infestation in the apartment, kitchen had hundreds of them crawling. Haven't got our security bond back yet. Have emailed Staycay (the land lords) and have had no reply... (2 weeks later) I do not recommend staying here as this is one of the worse places I have stayed.
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- John (9/5): Amazing- will be back! - Great location, layout & super comfortable beds Lack of paper towels minor but that’s all
- Tegan (10/5): Just Loved it. - Everything.
- Natalie (9/5): We loved our stay at north Fremantle - apartment was clean and stylish and beds were comfortable - Beds really comfortable, great styling and location A little bit warm at times downstairs without AC
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Francois (8/5): Felt like home -
- Karleen (6/5): Great location, air bnb style apartment. - Location and onsite secure parking.
Great safe neighbourhood with coffee and dinner options across the road, new Wild Bakery opened the week we stayed.
Walking distance to train and north freo attractions.
Aircon in both upstairs bedrooms.
Toilet downstairs as well as in upstairs bathroom.
Very large bath.
Hugest TV we’ve ever seen (kids were stoked).
Historical building.
Keyless lock for front door.
Spacious apartment.
Washing machine, dishwasher.
Clean and tidy throughout. Agree with a previous reviewer, it did feel like house-sitting rather than a rental property with the owner’s items throughout and multiple cupboards locked.
No aircon downstairs so was a bit cool in the mornings.
No coffee machine available (parts in kitchen drawers).
Outside space not particularly inviting to hang out in, felt like more of a service courtyard.
No face-washers / flannels in the bathroom.
- Wilson (9/5): Superb -
- Rosana (7/5): Great location if you’re looking for a break away. - It was extremely close to the wedding venue we were in Freo for. Staircase is gorgeous but impractical. Couch was quite low to the ground. No air conditioning downstairs.
- Rodney (5/5): Not so cool - Neighbourhood No air-conditioning downstairs
More like house-sitting than a rental property.
Not set up as rental:
Full of owners stuff and most cupboards were locked so couldn't use them.
No close-by shop for everyday stuff.
Security door for parking didn't work whole time we were there.
Having a big hassle getting my security bond back. one month later still not refunded.
- Jessica (10/5): Comfortable and cool, loved it! - Great location, very function and well thought through inside - power boards next to beds for chargers, cold water in fridge, comfortable and cool.
- Karla (8/5): Very good apartment in North Freo - Lots of space, lovely living area and everything you need in the kitchen. The codes meant that we didn’t need keys which was excellent It was difficult to get our suitcases up the stairs!
- Jonno (9/5): VAlue for money, love the area the pork roll across the road is incredible - This place is bloody sensational close to everything once you know where it all is. The dining experience across the road are awesome and pub is down the way. IGA and Woolworths are a bit of a drive Nothing the place is really spot on for accomadation short stays
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
