• kanits (9/5): Perfect verblijf met vriendelijke ontvangst en uitstekende faciliteiten. - We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en voelden ons meteen welkom. De locatie was perfect en ook de faciliteiten waren uitstekend verzorgd. Alles was netjes, comfortabel en goed geregeld, wat zorgde voor een heel aangenaam verblijf. Het enige kleine minpuntje was dat de wifi soms wat langzaam was. Verder was alles helemaal top, absoluut een aanrader!

O espaço da piscina e cozinha comunitária é muito gostoso e bastante equipado. Além disso, o Dirk e a Mariel são super solícitos e gentis! Adoramos!! Também há opções de aluguel de cadeiras, compras de minibar e late checkout, tudo bem explicadinho. Não há nada que não gostamos, mas vale a pena reforçar que é um esquema de Airbnb. Eles até tem café da manhã como opção, mas vale a pena para o dia que chegarem, pois do contrário, melhor ir ao supermercado e usar a cozinha comunitária (super funciona).

We kwamen binnen in een prachtige tuin waar wij elke dag heerlijk gezeten hebben. Een fantastische buitenkeuken en zwembad. Toen zijn we naar onze kamer gegaan, het waren heerlijke bedden en een heerlijke douche. De eigenaren denken graag mee als je iets nodig hebt denk bijvoorbeeld aan een taxi of huurauto. Het voelde als thuiskomen en we hebben er een mooie vriendschap aan overgehouden met Dirk & Marielle. Wij zullen zeker terugkeren als wij weer op Aruba zullen komen! Bedankt voor alles!

• Fabienne (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf! Aanrader! - Dirk & Mariëlle zijn fijne hosts. De communicatie is vanaf de boeking erg duidelijk en tijdens het persoonlijke inchecken zijn wij erg vriendelijk ontvangen. De ligging is erg centraal op het eiland zo ben je met nog geen 5 minuten op Surfside beach ook ben je met 3 minuten bij supermarkt Cmart. De B&B bevind zich in een leuke, veilige en rustige wijk. De familiekamer is een erg ruime kamer waar je als gezin fijn kunt verblijven. De tuin is een parel. De buitenkeuken waar je zelf brood kunt roosteren, Airfryer en, koken of bbq en is echt een meerwaarde! Zo konden wij in de ochtend heerlijk buiten ontbijten. Bij het grote & fijne zwembad bevinden zich heerlijke ligbedden. In de middag ging mijn zoontje even zwemmen en wij konden hier dan ook rustig zitten & genieten. Ook kun je uit de koelkast iets te drinken pakken tegen betaling. Je kunt strandstoelen en een koelbox huren voor een dagje strand helemaal super! Dirk & Mariëlle zijn super gastvrij zo bieden zij regelmatig een lekker kopje koffie of een cappuccino aan. Ook zijn ze zeer attent aangezien ik jarig was hebben ze de gang voor mij versierd en heb ik een super leuk cadeautje gehad. Kortom een super fijn verblijf en wij raden deze B&B dan ook zeker aan!

O quarto tem ar condicionado e uma ventoinha no tecto, sim, mas face à posição de ambos e com uma criança é complicado dormir com o AC ou a ventoinha ligada. O que fica o quarto muito quente e o colchão sendo quente , dificulta uma noite tranquila de sono. Tirando isso, óptimo espaço de quarto e WC.

• Vito (9/5): Heerlijk genieten - We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Dirk en Mariel. Voordat we aankwamen op het eiland hadden ze ons al tips meegegeven die we konden gebruiken. We hadden een fijne grote kamer met uitzicht op de prachtige tuin. In deze tuin konden we in de ochtend ons ontbijtje eten. Zowel Dirk als Mariël checkte elke dag even in of alles naar wens was, gaven tips voor op het eiland. Wij konden dat erg waarderen. De omgeving waar de b&b ligt zit erg centraal waardoor we overal snel waren. De omgeving was rustig. Wij kijken elkaar aan en zijn aan het bedenken of we nog tips mee kunnen geven, maar dat hebben we oprecht niet. We hebben het fijn gehad.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by Mariel and Dirk, the wonderful hosts who clearly put so much love and care into every detail of this beautiful vacation rental. The environment is serene, charming, and very family-friendly—perfect for our family of four. We especially loved the outdoor kitchen and dining area, where we had the pleasure of connecting with other guests over meals and conversations. The lush garden adds a peaceful, tropical vibe that made every moment feel like a retreat. The rooms and premises were spotless and very well maintained, and our kids had an absolute blast enjoying the pool. One of the sweetest surprises was meeting Bella, Mariel and Dirk’s lovely dog—so gentle, calm, and friendly with all the guests. She truly added an extra layer of comfort and joy to our stay. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better—right in Oranjestad, with most major attractions just a short drive away. The airport is also conveniently close (about 6–8 minutes), which made our arrival and departure super easy. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and can’t recommend Aloe B&B enough—especially for families or anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming, and centrally located spot in Aruba. Thank you again, Mariel and Dirk (and Bella!), for making our trip so special—we can’t wait to return!
• Eric (10/5): Divine - This one is a no-brainer for the budget conscious and demanding Aruba traveler. A short 15 minutes ride from the airport and close to all beaches (by car). A spacious room with a good bed, well equipped bathroom and all the amenities you can wish for. We truly enjoyed our stay and since the host family makes this is real home it’s easy to come back. Mariel, Dirk, their 2 sons and dog Bella were just a wonderful team. Aruban Dutch warm hospitality with an eye for detail (love the mango trees), great tips (love the Indonesian restaurant Nusa), and Dirk who knows a lot about the island’s history. This B&B was a real find and we love to come back 💕🏝️

It has a large window with a view to a gorgeous stone garden with fruit trees that invited many birds. We loved the outdoor premises. Just spending time in the hammock and by the pool would have made our vacation. We wanted a home away from home and That’s what we found in n this property. We can’t wait to Go back!! Well, we had to get to be used to the water in the shower not being as hot as we are used to. However, after some days in the heat of the beach, we came to appreciate it.

• Peter (10/5): A beautiful oasis of calm - The hosts, Mariel and Dirk, were unfailingly kind and helpful. They have a delightful black Labrador, named Bella. The property as a whole provides an excellent environment for the guests. There is a feeling of calm, ideal for unwinding and relaxing. I loved the swimming pool and the shaded area of the garden with its tropical plants. I also appreciated the outdoor bar with kitchen for the use of the guests. The room I stayed in - a quadruple with two large double beds - was spacious. The beds, equipped with superior mattresses, were very comfortable. The bathroom and shower met all expectations. The Wi-Fi was good, with multiple sites to allow for moving around the property. The property is in a good residential area. There are two small supermarkets a short walk away. For those without a car, the downtown area is about 25 minutes' walk. That said, unless you are located right by the beach, steps away from shops and restaurants, it really makes more sense to rent a car in Aruba. I have no complaints about Aloe B&B. Just one or two suggestions. Rather than have a chest of drawers in the room (after all, there is plenty of shelf space in the closet), a desk and chair would have been preferable. For those who have checked out but are waiting for a late flight, there is a need for bathroom facilities for general use. It should be noted that, although cards are accepted, the owner actually expressed a preference to be paid in cash. As I do not carry around large sums in cash, he nevertheless accepted my payment of the balance outstanding by card.

• Christophe (10/5): Nice stay in peaceful location - Lots of attention from Mariel and Dirk always available to assist and improve overall the quality of Aloé B&B. Close enough to downtown area although in a very quiet place. Mosquitoes but not much Aloé B&B can do against.
• Davion (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing property, the owners are so welcoming and personally stopped me before I went to my room so they could welcome me in. This place feels like a home away from home. 10/10 and will stay again next time I’m back in Aruba. 25-30 min walk to the downtown. Perfect place to be in a local safe neighborhood.
